Gummy ROM is made for speed, stability and to stay as closely in line with AOSP as possible while still supporting a large amount of devices and giving you all of the features you love. It isn’t slowed down by features you’ll never use nor is it so slim as to be just another AOSP build.
Features:
* New base built from AOSP (JSS)
* Status Bar Mods
* Theme Manager
* Hardware Key Mod
* Lock Screen Mod
* Many Wallpapers
* Performance Control
* Application Permission Controls
* Carrier Label Options
* Background Style
* Lock clock widget
Contributions:
* Thank you to Cyanogenmod for device and hardware repositories. Without this, porting Gummy to QCOM devices would have been nearly impossible.
* Thank you to Google for the best source code.
* androidfilehost.com for hosting our file servers!

Have one big problem. This is set up at 160 DPI. Themes don't like 160. When I change the DPI to 180 so I can change themes, I lose my hardware keys!!!! Any suggestions?

Noticed a couple things... boot anim needs resized and BT is not happy. I'll try to remember to get these fixed.
This ROM is very smooth. Not as much customization as I'm used to, but is much smoother than anything I have tried.
Sent from my NookColor using xda app-developers app
I agree, this ROM is really smooth and fast. Is it possible to disable the lockscreen or change the number of homescreens with the stock launcher?
Hey, tdm. Nice to see you around here.
Note BT range is quite limited due to the lack of antenna.

It's been a long time. How have you been?
I've built ROMs for all my other devices over the last couple years but always left the nook on cm. And I've always preferred aokp. But now, due to various recent events, I'm pushing hard for gummy, omni, and pacerom.
pacerom is my own rom which I haven't built for the nook yet. It's pretty much stock aosp plus all the hardware work that I did for omni (check http://omnirom.org/contributors/). There is also a plus version with just a couple essential features.
Tdm, does Netflix work on this ROM?

I have been developing just kernels lately, EVO 3D, Nexus 4, Galaxy Reverb kernels are the current projects. Nexus 7 and SGS3 are waiting in line. With the latest devices I have worked on, ROM development was not adding much to the device. Performance and battery improvements were mainly achieved through kernel and the stock ROM was just fine after some debloating. I might go back to ROM development when I have a device that would need it. But after using Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 with AOSP, I think, I will always prefer stock AOSP instead of other custom ROMs with so many features and settings. In that sense, kudos to you and your team, omni seems to follow AOSP closely.
See you around
Yeah, great to see you both in here, tdm and mrg666!
Tdm, there's another thread that in here, AOSP 4.2.2 that mentioned by doing xposed module and a bunch of stuff, it should get the Netflix going. I'll get those links in a bit. You think it would work on Gummy?

Here's the link

Its by "pastordl" and that link is on post #62.
Not sure if that would work on Nook Color or even on your Gummy ROM.
Looks complicated in my point of view, since its based on his research to make it work. Maybe I'm reading too much in between the lines.

I had installed the NetflixPersist zip referenced here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2405995 a while back, Netflix has been working as well on this rom for me as on CM.
Thanks tdm, nice smooth stable rom, good work
I'm not really a regular nook user it's mostly for the kids, and I don't run Netflix on it. If someone can explain the fix I'll put it into the build.

FAQ
Q: Why can't I click on Install when installing an apk from the SD card?
A: Disable HALO by double tapping the HALO but hold your finger down on the second tap, then drag it to the X and let go. The Install button should work now. HALO may be reactivated after by clicking the blue circle at the top of the notification shade.
Q: How to I get rid of the dual-pane in an app?
A: In Settings, go to Hybrid properties, tap the ParanoidAndroid Settings at the top, and then go into apps. From there, you can modify everything to do with the tablet/phablet hybrid settings for individual apps. The Size tab and the Layout/UI tab are the two of the most interest. Setting size to 320 and Layout to 360p will make the app look stock. Size controls the size of the text and the size of certain UI elements. The Layout tab controls the actual UI layout. Generally, 360p is phone, 600p is phablet, and anything higher is tablet. You can use that to make any app think it's operating on any screen size. Some of them don't have any alternate layouts, some of them have several.
Q: Why does my screen go black when I'm on a phone call?
A: Your proximity sensor is being incorrectly triggered. Most of the time, this is calibration problem rather than a sensor problem. To fix, download Chad0989's Rezound Proximity Sensor Calibrator app. You will see a "NEAR" reading on the screen. Slowly increase the High Threshold until you see a "FAR" reading. Increase the High Threshold by 3-5 more than it takes to trigger a "FAR" reading. Test the new settings by covering and uncovering the Verizon logo on the front of the phone. The reading should switch between NEAR and FAR. Check "Set on boot" and close the app. If this fix does not work for you, your proximity sensor is bad, and you will need to contact Verizon for a replacement phone.

There's still a risk of someone finding a way to Bork their phone with it but I'm giving my approval because it's proven quite stable for me in testing many various builds.
You guys and girls, Shrike has put a ton of work into AOSP along with several of our other devs. Releasing this is always a gamble because the dev takes some inherent liability of having to hear whining, so please keep things respectful and realize that you've been warned of bugs.

I saw a thread comparing both beans rom and cleanrom. Beans being AOSP and cleanrom non-AOSP. What is the not so technical definition of AOSP and what are the benefits and downfalls of both AOSP and non-AOSP roms?
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app
Technically they are both touchwiz.
Beans has an AOSP look.
Neither are true AOSP.
AOSP is android a it was meant to be.
Everything else has add-ons on top of android. Touchwiz. Sense. Blur. Etc.
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda premium
Is there any "true" AOSP roms for the note 2?
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app
CM10 under Original Development, and AOKP, Pacman, and Paranoid Android under Development are all AOSP(Android Open Source Project)
These ROMs are still in their alpha stage though on this device, so be sure to read through the threads to find out what's working and what's not. They are actually excellent builds for only being alpha, but they do have bugs that may make it unusable for some as a daily driver. Just give them some time though, they will be rock solid before too long.
The cool thing about any AOSP ROM is they all have tons of customization options, from status bar clock and battery tweaks, to lock screen modifications, built in performance options, System and per app DPI changes, etc.
The main downside would be it's no longer TouchWiz, so you're going to lose some of your motion options like swipe screen to do screen capture, direct call, smart stay, and will also lose the S-Pen tricks such as air hover, long pressing on the screen while clicking button for screen shot (which you can immediately draw on and share) and all of the other neat little things TouchWiz integrated, but there are a lot of apps on the play store that can replace these functionalities, and the pen still works fine as a normal stylus.

Just a friendly suggestion - I would try keeping it at the stock slim DPI for a while, you probably will learn to love it. I always changed it to stock android myself but once I kept it on the 361 DPI, I got hooked. I would never change the DPI now.

This IS a Unified Build, so in theory it should work for Sprint, T-mobile. Others I am not sure of, make a back up of current ROM as well as EFS. Most issues I am aware of, keep that in mind before flooding the thread with audio crackle posts!
Why is the ROM download on Goo and not Slim Website?
this is beta, build may be updated every daily, not only weekly.
Is this Official?
YES
Must I do a Full Wipe?
YES
Will this kill kittens?
No kittens were harmed in the making of SlimROM.
Hope I can take this post
Great work bro I don't own note 3 but salute to your hard work man:highfive::victory:

Power went out in my neighborhood before I could finish updating links and what not.
Hope its somewhat stable for you guys, I've been running it for a couple days and it seems OK. Audio crackle is kinda annoying , lol.
Enjoy, it will only get better from here!

Not really an issue but I noticed after rebooting my phone the wallpaper switched from a blue to a white slim logo. I only see one wallpaper to choose from and it has a white logo.

That changes with the toggling if TRDS (The Real Dark Slim). White is toggled on, blue is off.
