Samsung is emailing a 50% coupon to those who register their phone online. The crappy thing is its only good up to 50 bucks. All the good stuff starts at 59. But if you want a stylus, battery, battery charger or wireless charging cover then its the way to go
Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
Thanks for the heads up! I just registered and got the email within a few minutes. I've been wanting a second battery. Although, I don't know why since the phone charges to full in like, an hour.

My understanding is that the IMEI number is the serial number, although you might want to confirm that before using it.
To find the IMEI and ICCID numbers, go to Settings > About Phone > Status

That was my point. I tried both of those and it wasn't what they were looking for. It says those weren't serial numbers

That's weird. I used the IMEI number and it was accepted. I got my 50% off coupon in email about 5 minutes later.
It wouldn't accept either of those numbers for me and no matter what I put in for a date it wouldn't accept it either. Gonna try from a PC later. Maybe my phone and chrome don't jive with Samsung website
Sent from my GlaDos Baked Potato
I just called Samsung because I couldn't register on the website. They said Verizon hadn't sent over my phone info and that's why the IMEI didn't work. They put a ticket in for it and said it should be fixed tomorrow.

Registering my Note 3 using my IMEI worked just fine and I got my 50% off coupon in my e-mail almost immediately!
When I signed up at the Samsung App Store with my Note3 it automatically registered my phone, without even telling me. I didn't even know I had registered till I got the email. Im going to wait for more accessories than they have now. I have 85 days left.

I'm trying to find a locking app similar to the lock on my iPad, when the phone is rebooted or sleep for more the 2 hours the iPad requires a code to unlock. But during normal use it's just normal unlocking. Anybody know of a Android app that would be similar?
Thought my note slipped out my pocket the.other afternoon while working on my truck and didn't realize I didn't have it till later that night, the last time I used it was outside my apartments with my truck and I automatically thought it fell and somebody found it and took it. Tried to call it but it just kept going straight to voicemail so that definitely made me think it was stolen since my.phone wasn't off before. But I.found it later under the seat in my truck haha. I want a.locking app so if it does get taken and the person turns it off and tried to turn it back on then it will ask for a code and lock them out

I don't know if it supports 2 hours as an interval, but the stock rom does this. Home, menu, settings, security, I think. Somewhere in there is the option to set the time after which your PIN will be requested.

I wish we have something like HTC sense provides. Locate phone and if stolen you can delete contents of the phone from the HTC sense website.

A while back I lost my streak and I'd call it and it ring and go to voice mail except once someone rejected the same call and I knew someone had it. Lookout has an app that's called plan b that you can install remotely and will activate your gps so you can find it. Long story short I retrieved my streak and the guy who took it and wouldn't return it ended up with a broken car window. I also believe there's an app out there that'll completely lock your phone down too. Check lookout's suite of software, they may have something for you

Try out Cerberus it can remotely take pictures using the front or back camera and it emails the picture to you, bad guys face is there and also can use the back camera to figure out where they are. GPS locator remotely wipe SD and phone memory and also can set up other people's numbers (that you trust obviously) that you can send a wipe message to your phone from as well through text.
And its only $4 for a lifetime license.
I upgraded to the note from infuse and I always install Mr number. Well for some reason play store thinks it does not work with note. I had to get black market just to download and install it. Works fine for me in case anyone is looking to use it.

Well there is a catch. To enable the lookup of mobile phones you need to share your contacts with the mr number database for others to search against. At least that's the way it was, I am unsure if it has changed

Phishing
Sounds more or less like a data / number mining scheme to me, I don't think the majority of my contacts would want me to share their cell numbers with a company. Land lines (except unpublished) are pretty much a given anyway. But to share cell numbers with a company? I bet debt collectors use this route to find peoples cell numbers to harass them.

You can get it from there website , they are dealing with google pulling it from the play store. They wont tell the reason , but i installed it and not a few hours later i started getting hang up calls which ive never had before from random numbers. Its a popular app but i dont trust it.
Well that would be a problem but the app also allows u to report spam to block calls with single tap. With my phone being my business phone I like the control of blocking suspected spam without answering. Also when first time callers call and I need to save their number the name and info already there just one tap and saves me time. And time is money.

Book the memory exercise course (for 950 GBP + VAT only) and after 3 months you'll have a diploma, and you should be able to remember this number:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:
Aosp roms have the option to enter your number manually in people or contact app, don't remember which one it is:banghead:, but once done you can see your number in the status on all roms

Any idea why I keep getting this text msg? I've received it 3 times today.
I think Verizon is sexting you. Have you tried responding with a sexy selfie?
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Tapatalk 2
It's Verizon's Backup Assistant being stupid. Not recognizing your phone. Try uninstalling the BUA app from the phone, and log into your MyVerizon account and turn it off. No harm doing this since you have an android phone and Google's backups are much better than Verizon's BUA.
Go to your my Verizon account, remove all email addresses from your vz backup feature in "manage email settings", hit apply. You will then get a text saying VZWUEP: DELETE. This confirms the texts should stop.

Friend of mine dropped her AT&T S3 phone and cracked her screen. I have not seen the phone yet, best I can tell she took it to best buy and they said the screen is cracked and the digitizer is broke. She of course has a pin code and is unable to unlock it, I thought when a phone was locked you also couldn't access it from a PC. Her phone is not rooted, is there any way to recover her contacts, text messages, and possibly any pictures?
THanks!

she's got a Google account, but since not everything is on her replacement phone I'm betting it's not sync. I was thinking maybe Android lost, installing from Google play Web and seeing what I could do.
