Alot of us do not have the option of contacting sprint. So alternatives need to be created or mentioned. Help!

I wonder what unregisteredIRListener even means it's a security feature that's for sure.
Are there any developers looking into this?

It is something to do with the Infrared sensor, why would you think it's security related?
Looks like for some reason it keeps trying to unregister some watchdog for the IR sensor and it's not working, so it's caught in some infinite loop.

If you read one of the 24 other MSL threads, there's a sprint rep in one of them who can look it up for you.

Bad theory in my part it's because that same message kept on looping after su get prop ril.MSL command when using alogcat. I thought it was a security feature.

Well I didn't want to mention it being how xda are usually uptight about the topic of flashing phones i bought this bad boy with bad esn and i want to flash it to boost mobile but all efforts in getting the spc have failed and apperently changing the esn with qxdm is not working either.

Has anybody managed to get it working on a UK S3?
I've got installed Paul's (from Modaco) patched apk which removes the country and device check but can't get past the "initialising device" stage.
Anyone had more success??

I'd like to get this working too - any chance you can send me the file?
Also, have you spoken to Paul, he may be able to fix it?

Posted on the relevant Modaco thread but no joy. Hopefully, as more people get the handset, interest in getting this working will pick up.

Are you guys sure you've got NFC enabled? If it got stuck on 'initialising' then one would assume it's trying to activate the chip at that point. Going to give it a crack too.
p.s. The first time I installed wallet on another device I made the same mistake
Same problem here (same APK). Just sticks on initializing.
And yes, NFC is enabled

Post your unlock tokens

I need about 3 - 4 unlock_code.bins. I want to see if I can find a pattern. Also, PM me your IMEI number (or ESN if it doesnt have an IMEI). I want to see if I can find a pattern or anything. Don't get your hopes up. Just wanna see if I can find something matching or not.
Also, if you are willing to post your unlock token, MAKE SURE TO PM ME, DO NOT PUBLICLY TYPE YOUR IMEI/ESN!!
UPDATE: I also need the token info when you are the "fastboot oem get_identifier_token" command. I see somewhat of a relation with it.

Here's mine.
just an update. ive been busy today with school work. I made 4 unlock code tokens from my Amaze and I will compare it with the token Identifier and see if i can find anything. ill try a bit now before i go to sleep
minor update: The unlock_code.bin are all the same. Now I'm looking for a repetition between the identifiers. This will take some time.
Here's mine.
Thanks for your time fellas

Out of curiosity, what are you using to view the .bin files?
This is probably useless, but the HTC Aria has the same Hboot ver and this phone and it can be unlocked via Revolutionary's tool.

If you had an EFS partition backup, you could possibly.
But I know TWRP recovery doesn't have that option in the M8.
I don't know if this is a limitation of the device, or the recovery.
That really needs to get added to twrp for this device. Saved my previous phone (e970) several times.

They can do it on the m7 as there is a guy on ebay that does it and he uses good imei numbers from the exact same model of phone, but he cant as of yet on the m7.

Yes its perfectly legal because its being done to bring your phone back to its original carrier. I have had people that do this sort of thing say it takes a couple hours just to do the old model htc one. So I dont understand how it could possibly be that easy unless there is software or equipment out to do it.

Someone Get These Pricks!!!
I figured why not give calling em a shot. It was a thousand questions and then redirected to their security department then several more questions resulting in them saying "I'm sorry sir we do not even have a code to provide you and we do not allow or support device unlocking or rooting." I was like.. Byatch! What a mess! I should have researched this before buying... I looked it up, saw moto e was rootable and looked no further. Sucked in by the deal. Now I can't even return it. I've had it too long. I'm sure no one is even attempting it anymore. Think I might craigslist it for 40 and get me one to have a little fun with. Oh and not only that Tracfone has a site and under their name it says something like, when you have our phones you have the power. Ha! Straight talk just lost a long time customer. And this phone is just bloated out to the max with Google and Motorola CRAP! If someone out there in this mod world have this phone... Get it!!! Hit it hard! We can use this as a lab rat! I'm sure no one will buy it! Lol

So here's what I would believe, the CDMA version on straight talk is a cdma-v phone.. I assume that means its a Verizon phone, if I had a back up phone I'd be willing to try to root this one using the Verizon one click root app... Does anyone have any thoughts?
I would be willing to try it. Tried searching for it but couldnt find it. If you have link to the Verizon 1 click root app Ill try it asap. I just bought it and have a 30 day store warranty. I did try the LG Stump root 1.2 and did not work.

I will try it, I dont mind messing with my device, I can probably look at the apk as well and find the exploit to see what it is.

Is this the Version One Click root you were looking for? This is the updated version.
I found it via this article. Chrome detected the Verizon apk as a virus, but that's probably a false positive. The apk does come from XDA.
Blah blah blah, if you install that, I'm not responsible for nuclear war or bricked phones.
I'd try it tonight, but I need to be up for class/work tomorrow.
I don't have much to lose, although I do love this phone. Right now I use it as a server with VIM via Terminal IDE or as a web server with KSWEB. Although I recently converted an old 1.6GHz N270 Atom netbook to do the same thing, it's much louder and hotter, but way more powerful.
I'm just pissed what StraightTalk did to this phone. It's absolutely amazing, but those bastards had to ruin it.
