Yes it does once the date has not pass your fine but you shall wait a bit longer to decide for sure about the battery and also you should let your battery drain to zero and then give it a full charge if you haven't as yet.Not really being a noob, kind of xD

Xda II always charging, short battery life

My Xda II is always charging. Even when is not plugged in.
Battery life is around 6 - 7 hrs.
First i thought that is the battery dead, but i tried with a new one.. and got the same result. He eats like 10 % in one hour.
Now I have Sin.Merged.V.2.0 but is not the soft fault.
I hared that I have do a hard reset but I don’t know how.
Anybody have an idea what to do so will not be on charge mode anymore ?
it's normal for a himalaya to charge up to 100% then run of the battery untill it reach a surden % and then begin charging once more
Is always on charging mode. Even when is not plugged in.
Probably a short on the pins on base of phone. Get a magnifying glass and take close look.
up
is not this .. i checked...
does anyone know ? why it shows charging and eats up my xda2 battery ?
I have the same problem! My XDA II is always charging. Even when is not plugged in. And i think it needs more thime for charging.
Battery life is around 4 hours.

ME TOO !! please anyone knows something about this ? Why is always charging and eats bettery life time ?
ok, so consider the possibility your battery is on the way out and you need to buy a new one, obviously if you haven't had the PDA/Battery wrong, this shouldn't be true, but nonetheless a possibiliy
always charging and eats bettery life time
I found out that my qtek 2020 has some other failure than yust bad battery. I took it to the service and they try with other battery and also put on my ppc new software (upgrade) but no succes.Battery still always charging and eats bettery life time.
:?:
up
yes i tried with a new battery and also made a software upgrade but still the same problem...it always says charging...
anyone knows a solution ?
There is a green lite always on. Usualy it is blinking and while it is always on, it needs at least 10times more power than usualy. This is the reason why battery life is so short.
On monday i will try to diskonect the green lite and hope solve the problem with battery life.
:?:
mm
no... don't do that ... the green light doesnt eat the battery...
the battery is eaten because the XDA thinks is charging...is not the light
maybe the pins are touching somewhere... this is what should cause this battery eating
You were right. 4 days testing my qtek2020 and result was mistake in mother board. Imposible to locate short. It is not in the pins, IT IS mother board...
I have battery problem too,
I read it must be alive 160 hours but my xda is down more speed
I changed my battery 2700 mA battery new one same problem continue
it finish speedly
could this problem electronic battery assambly of my xda IIi?
,,
well i sold mine... but i never was able to fix the phone... i dont think it was the batteries, nor the software... i think the phone was broken... in one way or another...
i wish you all luck with this problem... i hope you'll all fix it
had the same problem before, its still under warranty wayback that time, they said its a problem with the board inside. anyway they fixed it and replaced the circuit board inside. the call timers were revert back to 0 and my imei had changed so basically just like a new phone.

[Q] what to do if my phone remains off for a long time?

hi people! im using e10i with mcm 7 2.1.5 na 06 and not the last one because its running perfectly for me now. my question is,taking into account i only can charge my phone if its on,what would happen if it remained off for a long time? how could i turn it on again? would it be a problem? maybe with the computer? it didnt happen yet but i was wondering that today in case i forget my phone for some days at home or something and i find my battery dead when coming back.
thx a lot people! im enjoing my phone as ever thx to ur work and answers.
Well, if you can only charge the phone when it's on then you could face a dead battery if you leave it off for too long.
A fully charged battery should keep its charge for quite a while if the phone isn't on but it will slowly lose its charge. Exactly how long it'll take to fully discharge, I don't know but you might get lucky.
I'd be worried about it only charging when it's off though. Your phone should charge whether it's on or off.

I konw man, but as I said I'm using previous version of na kernel (06) and custom rom (minicm 7 2.1.5) and it does not allow mini to charge while it is off... That's why I'm worried, because I've seen there are several bugs in new kernel and rom and mine runs amazingly, and I'm afraid to update, despite they allow to charge while de phone is off.
I suppose I will update finally or I should prevent my battery from dying if I don't want to lose my phone too.

SGA Battery problems

Hi!
I don't know why and how but I think the battery of my phone died. My phone is about 1 year old. It is fully charged then I remove the charger and then I start using my phone for about 15 minutes. After it the phone turns off with the reason battery is down. I plug in the charger(phone off) and it starts charging from 60-70 % and after about 30 minutes it says "Fully charged". Then it starts from the beginning. I tried flashing other ROMs, wiping battery stats... I think the detection of how much the battery is charged went wrong.. So if you guys could tell me another way which can maybe help i would appreciate it.. or the last chance is taking it back to service.
Thanks in advance!

I think you must buy a new battery as the same thing happened with my friend and he bought a new battery and the problem was solved.
otherwise check if your battery has any leakage
if it has leakage then replace the battery immediately with a new one.

Thanks for your reply! Don't you know maybe if guarantee covered the battery change?
The battery is old
Buy other
Or try calibrating
For future reference, the battery only indicates 100% but it's usually not 100%. I forgot the term but the reason for this happening is because the indicator
jumps up to 100% when it's actually (let's say) 95%, when it reaches to 100% (for real) it stops charging and will let itself discharge until it reaches
a point where it starts to recharge again. During the whole time it will say 100% even though it's discharing or recharging, when plugged in.
So therefore when you unplug it and it shows a lower percentage after awhile, that's when it is actually showing you the "real" power left.
("real", since the indicator isnt quite accurate anyway)

You say you bought a new battery. Do you still have the old battery and if used again, does it exhibit the same symptoms as the new battery?
Chinese battery...aye, hmmmm. I have read purchase reviews of cheap(USD3.80) batteries and they have been OK at the time the reviews was written, so it's not all bad at the bargain/cheap end of town. But I wouldn't pin my hopes on any old cheap battery.
Mugen Power does a VERY reliable 1800mAh battery for the XPERIA X10i
You can wipe the battery stats in boot recovery mode, which may better reflect the correct battery status when you reboot again.
Wiping the battery stats does NOT improve the state/condition of the battery, it just reflects the battery status.
Enter cwm it or xrecovery and advanced -wipe battery stats and reboot

[Q] Xperia u weird battery and charging problem :/

Hey so yesterday my xperia u's battery apperently drained out fully and it wouldnt come on no matter what .. neither did it charge, so i did alot of reading and i saw a post that said keep it on charger for a long time, so i did today
like two hours later i saw that my battery had started to charge but was charging really really slowly.. but anyhow i left it to charge to a 100%
then i disconnected from charger and used the phone and everything was normal .... until when the phone said low battery( it took just 3 hours ) i put it too charge but the phone said it was charging .. (at least the battery icon and the lockscreen said it was) but the device kept giving me the low battery sign until now it the phone shut down and it wont charge again ...
does anyone know a fix for this ?
ps . i am running AOKP rom with transendance kernal and the phone is like one year old now and unlocked bootloader and i used only the adopter and cable provided with the phone

have a look over here.but it requires root permissions :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1024867
Calibrate no root
Clear data of Eco mode controller in settings
Clear data of settings. UNPLUG THE BATTERY and put it back in and boot
