Hi!
I would like to ask for your help in getting me to order custom-made icons for various applications in iLauncher.
I unpacked the apk, and i found some icons in the res/drawable-nodpi folder like camera, clock, gallery etc. I want to add some new icons, like viber, navigation, play books, etc. How do I do this?
I can make pictures, but I do not know, enough to have just the right name and put next to the others, or have to change something else?
How do I know what name to give him?
Thank you very much for your help! (p.s. sorry for bad english).

Hello all...
I've looked around and can't find anything to help me out, but I know this can be done. I have Luncher Pro Plus and have a dock background that i would love to see fully. To do this, I need transparent dock images, but don't want the stock ones that came with Launcher Pro. I would love to create my own, but don't know what file type to save as or how exactly to go about this. I know it can be done as the stock Launcher Pro ones are transparent! I have Corel PaintShop available to use as well as drawing software (CAD). So I can draw practically anything I want and save it to any format I want. I just don't know the process of making a white image with a black background to have a transparent background.
To put it this way; I want essentially my dock background (which is nearly solid black) to have a drawn outline of the phone, person, boxes, message, world (see attached image)... no gradient filler like on Launcher Pro ones.
If anyone can point me to a tutorial I am missing somewhere, or simply let me know how to do this, It would be greatly appreciated!! I'm trying to customize my phone and what better way to do it than with completely custom images!!!!
you have to save it as png or gif file (I recommend png, it's higher quality). I use photoshop so I don't know how to do it on corel, this is what a quick google search turned up: http://www.axialis.com/tutorials/tutorial-misc002.html
PS: an image with the grey and white squares as a background while in corel means there's no background (transparent)

I also found... It took me a while playing with corel but I figured it out!! I love having icons that no one else has.... I would recommend everyone playing around with custom icons!

GIMP works very well to edit these images. I have photoshop CS5 for everyday use at work, but when I edit anything in the framework, I use GIMP. Its free, just google it.
Hi, Im making a theme for adw launcher, and im making icons for all my apps to match the theme.
I followed this guide to make themes and everything went good until I got some erros compiling the apk in eclipse... but thats another question for another time.
In the time being, I edited a current theme, adding my icons, and resigning the apk just to test it, but the thing is, there are, until now, 2 icons which dont change at all.
I followed the guide and retrieved the names correctly, one of those apps its on the droid icon database and even with that name, the icon dont change.
Anyone with experience with ADW and the tools, could help me to determine the correct names for the apps?
The apps are these two:
Perfect Viewer
osu!droid
Thanks in advance.
BTW im using a rom based in 2.3.6, maybe the names change between version.
Building and theming a rom, Wondering a few things, And searching for things this deep doesn't prove too useful very often, And ya just gotta ask. I'm trying to get a first impression wow factor with my rom. Make it stand out.
I've themed quite a few icons, And i'd like to be able to have select icons, Specificly the one's themed together be in their place in the dock upon a fresh flash
I'd also like to edit the default place to be the 4x1 instead of 4x2, So it'll be something different from first look. Please help me guys!
I need to mod a tablet, organizing the homescreen icons.
But i need to do this for a massive number of devices, and i need to find a way to do it modyfing an apk or something like that, and flash it through recovery.
I already found how to change the wallpaper, but no clue about shortcuts on home screen...
Any hints?
noone? might be something related to trebuchet?
Solved
It's indeed into trebuchet app.
Decompressing Launcher2.apk you can find into /res/xml/default_workspace.xml all the necessary to setup your workspaces.
Hope it's useful for someone else too.
I'd really like to make a unique Icon Pack, but downloading the original icons to theme is a pain! As of now, I'm simply going to the app page in google play and saving the icons. Is there a zip with a lot of the original icons (preferably 300x300) already out there? If not, is anyone willing to collect a bunch of the icons from apps they typically use and upload it here? I'd like to cover lots of icons so the more I get the better it will be. And it will be free!
Edit: In case this does become something, here is a folder with all the default icons I currently have saved. Hopefully it will save someone the trouble of finding it all over again.
