I see. maybe use tags too

Xposed framework is backported but there is no module for 2.3.6. So it useless right now..... But I hope we will be getting some modules for 2.3.6 in a few weeks.....

Thread closed as there is already one which covers the same topic.

Is it possible to have all inclusive themes?

So I've been looking through the i9100 forums for themes and many are "universal" for all Roms..I was wondering if that's possible on our version of the gs2?

Got links? Probably using vrtheme or similar - these MIGHT work on our device as is.
Yes its vr (unsure the exact importance) ill try to find a link and post as edit
EDIT:

That's one of a few I've seen ...thanks for the reply...you always are really helpful!

The themer in that case doesn't seem to know what he's doing - vrtheme can do some theming universally, but the jkay customizations are NOT portable.
Ill talk with them and see if they mind me bringing it over to i777
Hm if we could have these vrthemes that would be awesome!
It would probably be less work for themes in the long run too, imo.
Yea that was just one example I didn't read too far into it, thanks jivy, I'd help out but I'm not that knowledgeable yet...trying to learn...lol

It is interesting, vrtheme has existed for a while but this is the first time I've seen themes based on it.
Haven't tested yet, but this one should be truly universal and may work on UCKH7/UCKK6 based firmwares:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1429588
This one may work too:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1154252
The one linked above isn't universal any more due to including JKay - it will only work on firmwares supported by that version of JKay.

I'll try flashing Noed DarkBlueGray VRTheme once I take a nandroid backup and report back in a bit.
Looks like its "most" compatible with jkay 13.4.1, whereas icscrewed is still on 13.3.9, but I'll see how it goes.
EDIT: see below post. good stuff.
Did Nandroid backup.
Wiped cache & dalvik for good measure.
Mounted /data & /system.
Flashed zip twice.
No errors at all, worked beautifully.
Personally I didn't really like the look of the theme, so I restored back
Attached screenshots for reference.
This could be verrrry nice, it would instantly increase the amount of themes we have
Awesome! I wasn't too impressed with the theme itsself but I loved the idea of universal (or partially anyway) themes...I appreciate testing it out...are you on icsscrewed?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
Yes I am, haven't been on unnamed since the 1.x days. Though I'm sure if gtg added jkay, it could also work there
Anybody tried metamorph? From the second link entropy posted? Its a free app in market that is supposed to allow you to theme your own images..
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
I've tried it, but while on unnamed. I'll check it out again if i find a good theme worth the effort
ok, so is there a thread or explanation on how to use it? I'm running a hellraised ROM so I was considering installing one of the themes and using metamorph.
So i've looked around and found how to use it, but after i download a theme it doesn't give me the chance to install it, it comes out as a bunch of .apks....
Where did you get the theme you used for unnamed? and do you know what version? I tried criskelo (i9100 hellraised), unnamed and shostock and it ends up with the same symptoms.
Edit: Nevermind, it finally worked after completely wiping cache/dalvik running the kernel cleaning script ( i had recently tried miui...) and updating to entropy's newest kernel..was running the original kernel in hellraiser so it was an older one...maybe that caused the problem? Anyways thanks for the help

Thanks for the interest in my theme but with respect your wrong.
I haven't included jkay mod, just the images that jkay mod uses, this way I could keep the theme as universal as possible. The images will be pushed into your framework/systemui but if there not called they won't be used and shouldn't cause any problems.
Hope this helps,
Regards.

You state in your listed features:
"CRT on/off screen(enable via Jkay deluxe settings)" indicating that you are including JKay's theme elements. If you weren't including JKay's theme elements, this would say "Flash over JKay theme".
And in the ChangeLog
"updated Jkay to 13.4.1"
Now, if you updated JKay to 13.4.1 - that means you've included JKay, and thus are not a universal theme.
Where does it say that?
Were you reading the wrong thread lol.

The calendar is S-Planner!
He probably is looking for the widgets it came with most ics roms don't have them
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
I too am using a custom ROM that does not have the S Planner. Is there an apk for the S Planner found on the Stock Note ROMS?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
No on some of the custom roms its not using touchwiz which is only the one that uses it
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
Unless you are running touch wiz, you cannot use S Apps because they require the framework from touch wiz to work.
The same for widgets, if you run any other launcher you will lose the widgets for the S Apps until you revert back.
Maybe I'm losing my mind (or I've been up for 24 hours straight ) but if TW libs and framework is truly added to CM9/10-based ROMs as mentioned here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1876019
Then why doesn't a simple push of the SIMPlanner.apk, SIMPlannerProvider, and SPlannerAppWidget to /system/app (with appropriate permission changes, of course) work?
I flashed & have TW on my Note which BTW is currently running Collective's CP3, and the Weather Widget works just fine... but I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around why the rest of the Samsung apps that seem to rely on TW framework won't work, especially if by the weather widget working, the framework is installed and obviously working on CM10 (which some other posts seem to say won't work) ?

[Q] How to enable Soft-Keys?

Would this also work on the Galaxy S 4?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1960460

Sent from my SCH-I545 using xda app-developers app
As mentioned, Samsung removed all the softkey code from TouchWiz, so it's not a matter of just switching the thing on - you need a ROM that has specifically included softkeys. Dubbsy's Google Edition ROM has an option to include them when you flash it, and HyperDrive comes with a script you can run to turn on the navbar, although it's bugged in the current release and just makes the system UI crash over and over. I'm sure there are others, but those are the only two I've tried that incorporate software buttons.

Where is this script you speak of for softkeys for hyperdrive?
It's in data/media/HyperdriveROM/Scripts. But like I said, don't run it if you're on release 8.1. All it does is crash the UI constantly - you don't even get the navbar in addition to the bugs.
Why did Samsung remove it? (I'm currently using UDN as a replacement)
Sent from my SCH-I545 using xda app-developers app
I've played around with an app in google play called Ultimate Dynamic Navbar that was pretty cool. gives you a navbar that can be minimized. only downside is that it overlays whatever app youre in, so not a "true" navbar.
*requires root*
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mrbimc.udn.lite
U can use 3mint framework, there is an option where u can enable soft keys

From their point of view, why have it? The GS4 has hardware buttons; navbar code would be pure legacy if all you're worried about is supporting the stock OS.

It's not that easy: layouts have references in the R.class, that is a pre-built class that contains IDs of all resources. And you cannot modify a resource class.
Also, if you take the layout, you must take the activity that uses that layout, and we cannot use smali code to build an app.
So, it would be easier to do this ourselves.

How to theme your Tablet!

Hi,
I noticed that there ain't any themes for this tablet so here is an easy way to theme your tablet.
And of course you will need to be rooted to do this.
Also use common sense when messing around the modules. If you end up in boot loops from wrongly setting up the modules then there is always a Xposed disabler zip file in the root of our sdcard that you will have to flash in recovery to remove the bootloops.
First Install Xposed app.
Second Install xTheme Engine.
Here is a collection of xThemes i have collected and uploaded in one place to easier access them.
Fourth if you want to further mod you Tablet then try the modules here.
The Xposed Framework and xTheme Engine works on all roms. The themes will only do basic theming so do not expect to move mountains with it.
Happy Theming
I was wondering if you had any pics of the specific themes. Would help a lot to see which ones would suit my taste.

If you try any of the themes then you could help the community by uploading some screen shots for others to see

Oh man I can't wait
I just ordered my Note 10.1 4G 2014 and it will be here in a week or so.
Once I receive my Note 10.1 I will try out all the themes and delete those not compatible with this device.
If I get the time I will make as many screen shots of the themes I try out.
Please if you guys can do the same and upload your screen shots of the themes you try then you will help out the community.
Screenshots
I am a bit disappointed or maybe I did something wrong? I tried royal theme and miui sony theme and the only thing that changed was wifi icons and some stuff in the notification are. If anyone knows some full themes that would be great. Screenshots attached, first two are royal elegance and the last one is sony miui. I only took screen shots of what was themed because nothing else changed for me
I would suggest The guy who did True Icon (keygenSVK)

There is a post later that had this Link hidden...

There was someone that Ported that specific Theme to 4.3 OMEGA Rom. I've Personally Flashed it but only a few things changed, mainly App Icons. Nothing on status Bar Changed which is what Iooking for.
I've Used Wanam Exposed to change Colors at least.
