There is no 4.1 custom rom for this device.I think you got trolled by build prop.edit
There is no 2.6.3 for ace.Flash any stock rom (2.3.6) via odin instructions of which you can get from stickied threads of Ace I forum.

YProDuos GT-B5512 - flash new ROM + why update kernel?

Hello all,
I always make sure I say: I'M REALLY A NOOB, BUT LEARNING
Meanwhile, I've managed to root my Samsung Galaxy Y pro Duos (GT-B5512) and, recently, wanted to make something to "boost up the phone", as I'm having a problem with a missing original rom app. So... as I have to flash a new ROM, and I was thinking:
I don't know how to flash a new ROM, and I don't wanna risk making a brick f my phone. I've been reading a lot about some custom ROMs for Galaxy Y Pro Duos, but some doubts remain:
1) I've read about a compact Kernel for this phone. Should I update/ change the kernet?
2) Should I try to restore the stock ROM? Or should I go for one of the two custom ROMs I've found for B5512?
What are the advantages of putting these custom ROMs?
3) Any sugestions on what should I do, in what order? (1st kernet then ROM?) Any ideas on what should I do to the phone so it doesn't reboot twice a day, as it is rebooting nowadays?
I say again, I'm a noob, so any and ALL you help will be really apreciated.
Thanks Android fans
:good:
+1
Flashing a custom rom and kernel gives loads of extra features mostly required by power users like init.d swap overclocking
and in case anything goes wrong we have Odin at rescue and
this should most probably fix the reboot issue
As You said you're learning custom rom would be great as they are deodexed and modding apps would be a breeze on them

Thanks for your answer sak-venom.
I still have a lot of doubts on what to do... can you help ?
1) I have Odin, but what ROM options do I have for Galaxy Y Pro Duos (is there any stable and bug free custom ROM)? And what Odin version should I use to flash them?
2) What is deodexed and modding apps?
3) Should I just flash a new ROM, or must I first put a new Kernel, and then flash a new ROM?
4) Should I backup with Titanium and the flash, restoring the Titanium backup after??
A lot of doubts.... a close help would be really important...
Thanks

[Q] Help with a galaxy GT-S5830c

Hi guys, yesterday i tried to put a ROM on my SGA GT-S5830c using this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1840645. I followed the steps and after finish them my cellphone was now a SGA GT-S5830i. I installed the Ace-i-Sure rom but the wi-fi wasn't great so i tried to recover my system using CWM and ClockWorkRec5830i.zip. Okay he turned back into SGA GT-S5830i. I tried to put another rom but the cellphone bricked so i unbricked it using odin. One more time he's now a GT-S5830i. I'm trying to restore to my original FW and nothing is working. Please guys help me to restore to the original FW GT-S5830c i'm desperate.
Thanks in advance!

No, it's not. Ace "C" is the same as Ace "i", So it's the right section.
I don't know if i can share links outside of XDA, but if yes, i'll point you to original s5830c firmware.

Do i9100 ROMS work with i9100p?

Thinking about replacing my RAZR I with the s2 due to much better ROM support. Want to get one with the NFC (i9100p) but will all i9100 ROMs work with it? Or cant I use them/ I will lose NFC if I do/
Sent from my XT890 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Yes, but no NFC with I9100 roms 'as is'; there may be mods that enable it, not 100% sure on that - do a search & see what you dig up on that score.

Well i'm not sure about this. As i don't have this device.
But you can check by flashing roms on your phone.
No, you will not brick your phone if you flash I9100 roms on an I9100P. It is the same device except for NFC capabilities, which as I've already mentioned, and as the OP already knew, won't work straight off the bat with I9100 roms (and may not work at all).
And I'd expect RC's to know this stuff (if you're guessing, don't post in the first place).
Sorry for that mate. I edited my post. Thanks for this .

Ok thanks a lot! And oh well everyone makes mistakes. Thanks for all your help guys. If i asked a question on razr i forum would take a good 1 or 2 weeks for a reply due to low development.

No, there is NOT the best ROM. Some may like highly themed ROMs, and some may like Lite ROMs. Some may like blue and some people do like red. There is nothing best!

Asking something like best rom is against xda rules.
Head over to Ace 5830i development section. Compare features and looks of some roms and see which rom you are comfortable with.

Every Rom is Good. Especially CM11 for the HTC One. Try flashing it on your ace. It will turn it into a HTC One,
