I have a problem with my s2, my battery down directly from 40% to 20%, always does the same, with all roms.
I calibrated the battery but it has not worked.
Please help

Use philz, apollo kernel. If your battery showing these results with every rom like cm10, aokp, stock then it must change your battery.

Hello,
I am new to SGA and didn't find anything in this forum about this "bug" in froyo 2.2.1 stock rom. The battery status is very inaccurate it goes down from 50% to 40% in less then 10 minutes without any use at all, or from 70% to 90% after 2-3 minutes of charging .
Is there any way to fix this problem without changing rom ?
Thanks.
m too new to this phone and i have not encountered a problem like this yet....its maybe ur battery or the phone n since there is no one facing this problem this is not a bug so it has to be ur phone....consider taking it to the repairing center

Have u flash your rom before? If not, maybe u should just try rooting and calibrate your battery..
The battery doesn't drop normally. You will see percentage jumps, I have had 12% jumps sometimes. You'll see the settings does not even include battery status and percentage while other phones will have it. This is one major dislike I have for ace, otherwise I love the phone.
And no you cannot solve this if you're on stock rom. Flashing another rom won't help too if it was based of stock firmware.
Im not new in froyo..
But i had not encounter ur prob..
Try to drop by to servce cntr wer u bought it..
Maybe they wil give u for new one..hoping..hehe

I am on CM9 nightly and kernel that comes with it, latest updates always!
And yesterday I charged my SGS2 to 100% unplugged cable and at the morning when I checked it, it was dead! tried to go in download mode, it sayed battery level is too low! and really it drain 100% of battery in 8 hours idle!
Is it possible to fix such a issue?
Yes, by seeing what's using the battery, not by making a new thread with no useful information.

With the amount of battery threads that come up on this site it is surprising you haven't bumped into the routine of downloading betterbatterystats and seeing what is keeping your phone awake. You should also see if this happens on a fresh install with NONE of your apps installed. Completely stock with your contacts synced.
your issue sounds reasonable my device was awake on the 4/29 build, its best to talk about nightly builds in the discussion thread, charge it up and see whats keeping it awake
you wont get help without this

Cyanogen9 is still deep in beta, that means it isn't finished, that means if you have a problem it's because the ROM isn't perfect. Why would you make a forum post about this? It happened once, not even a few times, why the **** would you make a post about something that happened once and you have done nothing to get to the bottom of it? Seriously what.
There are many stable Custom ROM of Android 4.0.x that you can use instead of CM9 'Nightly Builds'....

See this. While this isn't currently a "what's the best ROM" thread, the very nature of your question will result in the same debate those types of threads tend to generate.
Someone could really like a ROM and suggest it to you, and you try it, and you might decide it sucks. Try ROMs out yourself until you find one you like. Don't be lazy.
hey

I was using Canvas 4 Rom ported to our device, I had the same problem. My battery back up till 30% is pretty good, but when it reaches 30% in 5 minutes it drains to 15%. I thought the problem is with that Rom. So I flashed the p.18 stock Rom. But the same problem persist.
Is anyone less having the same problem? If so then what is the solution for this problem? Kindly help me regarding this.

Canvas 4 rom has no issues with the battery instead it gives very good backup. U try this.
Download battery caliberator from Playstore.
Charge the mobile till 100%
Open the App
click on battery caliberate
Once it clears all the battery stats remove the charger and drain the battery till 0 and then charge it fully i.e. 100%
and then use it.. It will solve ur battery issue
I will try
I'll try that. No one has encountered such a problem before?

It happens with some of the Roms. Dont worry.. It is not flashing issue.. Even i faced these issues in Jellyxperia 5.5 rom . I changed it to MIUI rom by JavaJohn .. then no issues.. Many users faced this.

No bro.. I used SGalaxy CHD 3.2 and Jellyxperia 4 . Now using MIUI by JavaJohn ... I didnot see these issues in following roms. If this issue with kernel then it should replicate these issues in above roms also.
Correct me IF i am wrong?
Oh! that's pretty sad. Can you post the kernel version of Miui?

no problem with rom or kernel... problem is battery not calibrating after flashing rom... i tried all battery calibration apps nothing is working..
THE PROBLEM IS BATTERY NOT FULL CHARGED, IF YOU WANT TO CHECK THAT JUST CHARGE FROM 0% YOU CAN SEE 60-70% TAKING MORE TIME, AFTERTHAT IT WILL TAKE 10-15MINS TO FULL CHARGE
Battery is getting full charged but it was only 50 cent through...... And in 10 min was 100percent
having the same problem
I have the same problem
Discharge from 30% to 15% in 10 mins and charging from 80% to 100% in 10 mins..
I have tried many custom ROMs and Stock ROMs with no luck
I have also tried calibrating multiple ways like calibrating when at 100% and discharge and tried calibrating from 35% and discharge..
No luck yet..
Anyone has better options to try
Thanks in advance
It's just a software bug, when the phone show's you 100% it's not fully charged yet, but it says so.
Just leave it connected to the charger for another 30mins, then it'll actually be fully charged and you also won't encounter the 30-15% drop.
On a sidenote, enabling forced gpu renderering in developer options increased my screen on time from 6 to 7 hours per charge. Why? No idea...
Battery probs
I too had that issue but after getting into miui by java john all was set i didn encountered that prob in the latest update 3.12.9

Last couple of weeks, with different ROMs I have a strange issue where the screen suddenly starts to flicker in within seconds the
battery drains to being completely empty.
I don't even have a chance to get into BBS and check what process is the culprit.
Any idea what might be causing this problem?

This happens on samsung based roms like Neatrom, Imperium & ARHD
also happens with CM11 OMNI and SLIM.
tested all these roms with full wipe and clean install.
Could it be a bad battery ?

First check if this happens with stock ROM not the stock based ones.. And if same happens with complete stock than yes it can be battery issue.
Your battery is inflated? If yes, I think that you need a new battery
