BRICKED - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Ok, I'm at work so don't have a lot of time to get into details. Here it is in a nutshell:
I used Josh's MI5 tar to return to stock so that I can get that MJ5 update (if that's what it's called)
That went through w/o incident. However, in my haste I went to Odin and attempted to use Chainfire's root method to regain root on MJ5.
Needless to say that was a huge mistake. It froze during Odin and I was forced to disconnectand pull the battery.
I'm still able to get into Odin but it will not accept the MI3 or MI5 firmware. It gets an error after a few seconds. If I try to get into stock recovery I get FIRMWARE UPGRADE ENCOUNTERD AN ISSIE. PLEASE SELECT RECOVRRY MODE IN KIES AND TRY AGAIN.
Anyone have any advice other than attempting to return the phone?
I'm so pised at myself for making such a dumb mistake.

Here's the website to download Kies from Samsung. Make sure you get Kies 3: www.samsung.com/kies
Good luck! I know how frustrating it can be. Please let us know how it turns out.

I had the same problem and this is how I resolved it.
1) Odin CFautoroot
2) Odin TWRP
3) Boot into recovery and either restore a backup or install ROM of choice.

Don't sweat it bro. Simple fix:
1. Odin Twrp recovery
2. Boot into Recovery right after Odin passes you.
3. Flash a Nand or Rom.
4. Good to Go!
*Also, if you don't have a nand or backup or don't have a Rom downloaded, just download one and put it on you sdcard and then flash it. No need to wipe or factory reset. Rom of choice at this point should be Freeza's Mj4 or any mi5 rom will do!
*Stay away from Kies, waste of time...

Starting to look like the mj4 bootloader changed. Probably to try and prevent the knox safe root method by not allowing downgrading.

OMG, thanks a million bro! I Odin TWRP and it immediately booted into my stock MJ4. I missed the opportunity to get into Recovery right after Odin TWRP. Now when I try to manually get into recovery it takes me to stock recovery.
I'm so afraid of doing anything at this point and am just happy to have a working phone. What would be the best way to go about restoring my nandroid? I'm assuming I should ODIN Twrp recovery again but this time don't allow it to reboot the rom? I'm so nervous I just need some more confirmation before I do anything!
I love you guys in this community...someone always comes through over here when I'm in utter despair!

Boot into twrp recovery and flash your back up. . Once you flash twrp recovery using Odin you won't have to do it again.

Are you saying that after TWRP is flashed via Odin you have to immediately go into recovery? Because after I flashed TWRP in recovery the phone automatically rebooted back into the rom. After this I turned off the phone and tried to manually boot into recovery but it took me to stock recovery despite having just Odin TWRP a few moments earlier. Hope that makes sense.

Once you flash twrp via odin you have to go into twrp recovery before your phone reboots. I usually hold power up, power, and home button right after I hear my pc beep (like when you disconnect the usb). Once in twrp, flash away!

Thanks bro, that did it! I was w/o a phone the whole day at work and really thought my shiit was permi-bricked!

No problem!

When flashing twrp in odin it may help to uncheck auto reboot. Then when it finishes boot it into recovery manually. That way you don't miss the window.

Flashing Recovery: Doesn't stick

I've tried flashing recovery via Odin and CWM Recovery and it will reboot into recovery just fine. However, when I let it reboot into android, turn it off, and then go back into recovery, CWM is gone. The phone, however, stays rooted.
Any idea what could be wrong or how to fix this?
Secondly, if I can get into CWM immediately after flashing, is it safe to flash a new ROM at that point or do I need to get CWM to stick first?
Anyone? Any suggestions at all will be appreciated

Sure... You can flash a rom immediately following the flash of cwm.... Did you also install busy box?
Which cwm are you trying to use? 5.8.4.7 seems to do me good....?

Before your phone boots after installing cwm in Odin do a battery pull then boot into recovery (Volume Up+Home+power) then flash your superuser/root package. It will stick then.

I tried using that CWM version as well as an older one. Both work and I can get busy box and superuser installed once it boots up. But when I power down and try to go back into recovery, CWM is gone. I do get to keep root though.

I tried unchecking the auto-reboot button on Odin 4 and 7, and going that route. Both allow me to get into CWM, where I try to flash the recovery v5.zip. Still doesn't stick unfortunately.
My flash counter is up to about 10 now, trying to get CWM to stick..

Thanks everyone. I used CWM toolkit, reflashed the stock recovery, then used odin 3.07 to re-flash CWM 5.5.0.4 and it stuck.

Bricked! Only booting to downloading mode!

I updated my phone to me7 and I followed a root procedure. After I used goo manager to install twrp and clicked reboot recovery but when it rebooted it went into downloading mode and won't let me boot normally! It says on the top could not do normal boot. Please help!!!
Yeah mine is doing the same thing. Not really sure what's going on, heh.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
**EDIT**
Nevermind...now when I reboot it goes into the OS like normal. Thanks again, man.
You cant install a custom recovery on the me7 ota. Theres a ton of posts on this already. To get past that turn your phone off and use the button combo for booting into odin(vol down + power). Itll ask if you want to proceed or cancel, hit cancel and your phone will boot. To fix you will either need to flash a stock recovery or use odin and reflash me7.

This got me back into the phone but now I'll have to reflash the stock img via ODIN?
Anywhere I can find the stock recovery?

Bricked my note 3? Please help

I have Sprint Note 3. I rooted it using ODIN to get superSU but i wanted to flash back to stock rom so i can get kitkat update OTA.
Something went wrong during flash...
Now when i open phone i get firmware upgrade entrenched an issue. please select recovery mode in kies and try again
Please help!
Try booting back into download mode (power device on from an off state using power+home+vol-down) and reflashing the stock MJ4 tar file. Hopefully it will reboot into stock MJ4. Then boot into stock recovery (power on device from an off state using power+home+vol-up) and wipe cache and do a factory reset. Then reboot back into download mode and reflash the stock MJ4 once again.
From that point you should be able to take an OTA update.
Note: when flashing a ROM via Odin.. Wait for Odin to show you how long it took to complete. Your phone may reboot. Pulling the plug early may result in errors.

tried to put new rom on went through the process of backing up which i dont thinhk worked, and wiping the sustem
tried to put on new rom using cwm and got an error on startup
so i tried to go back and start the whole process over again
using odin i tried to flash the phone and FAIL
i am stuck in a loop everytime i start normal or start in cwm i get a message saying firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recovery mode in kies and try again
but i can still use ODIN
What can i do
Thanks
I'd use TWRP if I were you and save yourself some headaches. From my understanding, CWM is hit or miss on our beloved Note 3.

First what version of KK where you on when you rooted your device ? Anyway pull battery then reinstall battery. Boot into download mode, then odin flash the version of KK you had before you rooted your phone.
Chances are the device won't boot. DON'T PANIC !!! Happenes all the time, just pull the battery again. Boot into download mode again, and odin flash the stock KK again it should boot the second time.
Once you get it to boot up, check and see what version of KK you are running and make the kernel , modem, and bootloader are the same.
At this point l would odin flash it again to make sure you have a clean install. Now you can root and install a custom recovery. I use TWRP.
IF you have any questions just click rom flashing basics in my signature.
Pull battery boot cold to download mode. From there attempt odin flash of factory tar image. Report back please.

Corrupted Recovery after Settings->Reset Phone?

Good morning,
so I was stupid enough to try to reset my phone by using the "reset phone"-function in the settings menues. This must have damaged my recovery (TWRP), which before was working perfectly fine. To make things worse, this was my girlfriend's phone - so I am "that stupid tech nerd" who destroyed her phone now.
The phone is in a bootloop into recovery. Samsung logo appers after pressing the power-button, then the TWRP-logo appears. The recovery however does not start up correctly, but flashes once every 5 seconds. From this I assume, that the recovery can't fetch its needed data on startup and is restarting over and over again.
The phone can still boot into download-mode. However I am not sure, whether I enabled ADB. Stupid question alert: Do I need ADB to be enabled in order to use ODIN? Because to be frank, flashing with ODIN with this phone never really seemed to work.
I tried re-flashing TWRP via ODIN without any success. I thought about flashing other recoveries (CWM), but wanted to ask for your kind help, before making things even worse.
Please help me on this. Any hints are very much appreciated!
No you don't need adb you could try flashing cwm with odin but I personally would just flash back to stock with odin and start from fresh.
