Hi guys, I'm using a HTC One x +, It was bought from AT&T and unlocked so I can use it in the Caribbean. My question is, can I update the Android version? If yes, how do I do that (I went into About and selected AT&T Update, it either says "Service Unavailable" or "There are no updates"? Its currently running 4.1.1. Also,I don't see an option to switch the 4G off or switch to 3G, any help will be appreciated, thank you.
-Its unrooted, Can I do the update from my computer?

Hello..
Please developers solve this problem for me..
I have HTC one X at&t version running 4.0.3. Whenever I want to update my phone software service unavailable error. I am in Pakistan.
Tell me how I can update my phone to latest one.
Itz boot loader shows locked and I don't know what is this.
I kinda have a similar problem. Mines open a box saying "Checking for updates" but then closes and nothing happens. My phone is an AT&T HTC one.. please help us!!!!
Hey guys. I couldn't get AT&T to unlock my s3 so I downgraded to android 4.1.1 to do the free unlocking method. It worked, but my phone has AT&T apps in it, and when updating it says crap like updating from AT&T server or w/e.
When using ODIN, was I supposed to install the AT&T or the T-Mobile version of the 4.1.1 android?
I figured since it's an at&t phone I have to reinstall the at&t so it doesnt mess up the drivers or anything (I totally made up that conclusion myself).
Also, I don't get 4g LTE now and only get E internet. Do I have to do some settings so the phone cooperates with T-Mobile?
As always, thank you very much for the helping hands.

You're probably going to need to setup the apns for Tmobiles network to work for your phone fully.
It automatically made one called tmobile but I dont know if I have to edit it.
Was I supposed to install android 4.1.1 for at&t or tmobile?

As far as i know you should be fine on the at&t rom, You're just going to need to edit those apns probably.

Well, how about this? I install the T-Mobile rom. Shouldn't that have the proper apns?
Now another question comes to mind. Since this is originally an at&t phone, will installing the T-Mobile rom mess it up?
Anyone? Help plz
Hi all,
Because I did not find the answer in the other thread :
Has anyone:
bought the ATT version
Unlocked it by att
Or: unlocked it through a vendor (please state which one)
And: is successfully using it with a T-mo SIM? Paired to their T-mo main phone? Does voice/text/data/forwarding work when remotely connected?
Also, I know one user here bought the ATT version in store and it was unlocked.
Anyone else? Was it white or black?
Thank you so much in advance!
Hi guys,
I need your help please. I bought my htc one m7 a year ago in USA. the phone is at&t branded but internationally unlocked for any SIM card. I went back home to Serbia and phone works fine with my Serbia SIM card but the problem that I'm having is that phone is not updating at all. I still have 4.3 android. In the settings the option is not saying software update but it says at&t software update, just to give you a clearer picture. So I don't know if I need at&t SIM card for it to be able to update the phone or what. Is there some other way to clear my phone like its not bond to any carrier?
Thx

at&t phone can only be updated using ot aupdates if they are connected to the at&t network.
To de-brand your phone you will need to s-off and flash the dev edition ruu.

Hello, people
I just got an HTC M9 and it is from AT&T. I'm located in Dominican Republic and I've been told that it is unlocked. The thing is that I'm not able to update the android. It has 5.0.2 and I know that the HTC M9 allows to upgrade up to Android Nougat. I don't know if the phone may be flashed and get a new android OS installed on it. I'm really newbie in this subject and I don't know what to do. When I go to Settings > About > software, nothing shows up to update. The only update option is "AT&T software update", but it always says that there are not updates. Now it says: "network is not ready". I've thought about selling the phone cheaper and get a new HTC M9 factory unlocked or Verizon, but that would take some money. I didn't knew any of this when I got the phone... What would you recommend? Is it possible to flash the phone or should I get a new one?
You can download the 3.38.502.XX ruu from htc... Nougat I do not believe will be released from ATT... You cannot update the ATT software unless you are on ATT network, I would suggest converting the device to the developer edition and then you will get at least Nougat and security updates.

Thanks for your answer. However, I already bought a new HTC M9 T-Mobile version, which got updated at once. I tried to flash it and install several android versions, but none of them worked.
Att has released 7.0 Feb patches. I haven't got the update yet but this is great news for our phone finally
I stand corrected then... This is good news for you guys...
