Hello everyone, I'm new..and i've a problem.
After a series of tweaks, my Sony Tablet S has obtained something like a soft brick, it remains stuck at the logo animation, an endless loop.
I've tried several wipe, and factory reset..the result is the loading of the system into the wizard, every ~30sec appears an error like "System UI stopped work", the status bar didn't appear each time.
Recovery says:
Code:
Android system recovery <e3>
System Utility (Rev.36 BL:0x000000008, EC. 0,73, master)
So, wipe and factory reset doesn't work, and, unfortunatelly, i really don't know which .zip for the system restore by SD.
The tablet model is:
Code:
SGPT114IT/S
Can someone help me, pp-please?

Please don't list your SN (serial number) for your own safety. It is not relevant.. You want to try Italy zips. See my signature for links and FAQ if needed.

I'm posting this so hopefully it would help others. I was clearing my battery stats in romracers recovery, and somehow ended up on the internal sd re-partition screen. Panicking, I tried to back out and ended up choosing 0MB. I finally got it up and running to back up my data:
Rebooting the device, it shows a long menu with all the boot options, saying it will attempt to boot in 5 seconds. In the OS at this point, the touchscreen is horribly messed up, and won't select things properly.
I reboot the phone again into fastboot. The serial number of the device shown is garbled. I first run 'fastboot erase recovery' and then fastboot flash recovery romracer-recovery.bin'.
At this point I'm able to boot into recovery and go to Advanced Restore. Using a previous Nandroid backup I was able to restore only the PDS partition. Now I'm finally able to get into my OS and use the touchscreen, I'm now backing up all my data and attempting to fix my boot screen. It still shows a long a text menu:
Serial Number: ###
Hardware Rev: 0x83f0
Build Date:
etc... showing all the boot options.
I've still yet to figure out how to get the Motorola boot logo back, but at least i'm able to use the phone again.
Just download a new boot logo from the Themes section, and flash it, youll be good to go.
hi,
I also went through this issue.
exact same.
I was saved by notorius and itdanno.
great people.
here is motorola boot logo.
http://db.tt/zUFTTuM3
usual stuff like wipe dalvik cache.
flash this.
you will get your motorola logo back.
However tragic this may be, this is the wrong place to post. This should be in 'General' or 'Q&A.'
Follow the advice above and see if that fixes.
My mistake, thank you.
And thank you for the logo
hi, i just did the exact same thing... i do have access to recovery and my backups but it wont boot past the long text menu.
any help is definitely appreciated
*edit* interestingly it appears the pds directory was wiped from my first backup listed but the rest were ok... i just restored from one of the other backups and im now up and running.
First of all, I would like to say hello, since I'm new on this forum!
So, to begin with, my problem is the following: I'm trying to install the CyanogenMod on my vodafone 858 smart. I followed the instructions on this forum:
-rooted my phone
-installed ROM Manager + Clockwork recovery
-in ROM Manager I selected Install ROM from SD card -> checked to make a backup, to wipe data and cache and to wipe dalvik cache
-phone rebooted into recovery mode -> could't see anything but the small hourglass
-waited for more then an hour, nothing changed, hourglass was still there
-took out battery, reinserted it, started phone and everything worked properly, but I still have 2.2 version of Android
-I tried to install CyanogenMod again, this time switching off my phone, and rebooting into recovery mode manually
-after rebooting into recovery mode, a message appeared, saying it is unpacking 1/2 (the process bar not moving anything not even after an hour) and below it states that the 'update has failed'
Could anyone please help me with this issue, I'd really like to upgrade my phone, but I can't seem to manage.
ps.: sorry if this has been asked, I couldn't find a similar thread.
Thank you!
HELP! My phone stuck on boot screen (or boot loop) can someone upload their backup of vodafone 858 phone (or system.img) file???
PLZ HELP My phone dont work...
Hi, I have a Window N11 tablet which is one of those cheapo ones but want to try and get it working for the kids to play with.
When I power on, it displays the 'N11' logo and then recovery system v1.3.35.
The next message is "E:check failed, Recover failed, please reboot and recover again!"
The only option I can select is 'Reboot system now'.
Remaining items that I can't select are factory reset, system recover, update from sd card and update from udisk.
Can anyone help please?
Dear community,
After the use of adb on my LG D-331, the phone shows a loop of the startup ( where's the logo ).
This problem appeared after I changed the build.prop file and rebooted my device.
I want any solution to make it usable ( whatever the solution, even if everything got wiped off ).
The recovery mode in unreachable. With adb, I did 'adb reboot-recovery' which lead me to a screen where there is the logo of android saying "Deleting"
After that, nothing new happens, still that startup loop.
I really need some advice.
Thanks in advance for your help !
EDIT 1: I managed to reach the recovery mode, where I was asked to factory reset my phone, I chose yes and yes then waited for the phone to reset, but the operation aborted and the screen goes back to the loop.
After soft-reset, the usual splash screen (with unlocked bootloader message) appears, then it disappears, the phone makes a single vibration, the splash screen happens again and it loops from there. Model number is SM-A202F/DS. I can't pull log files using ADB.
Can anyone help me?
UPDATE: Tried flasihng the latest firmware from https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-a20e/firmware/SM-A202F/XEO/download/A202FXXU3BTE2/344595/ and using the HOME_CSC file as oposed to normal CSC which would wipe /data. The flash was sucessful but instead of bootloop the phone entered recovery mode with "android cant be loaded" error. I've decided to wipe /data from there (most of stuff I have is either Google synced or stored on external memory anyway) and the phone boots normaly now. So now I have a new question - how can I integrate system app updates with factory versions without risking another bootloop?
