2. On Odin click Pda and Choose The MD5 file and then click start.

Download FeaMod Recovery from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1331164
This is the direct link to Version 1.2 for quicker access.
http://www.mediafire.com/?u9996yn6i7rc92z
Connect phone to your computer. Open the FeaMod file through the PDA section on Odin and then start the process.
After Odin installs it and you get a "PASS" you will have a custom recovery and you can follow the steps said above.

install CWM v5.5.0.4 with odin
Place the rom on the phone and get recovery mode:
wipe data/factory reset,
wipe cache partitions,
advanced/wipe dalvik cache
install rom
wipe cache partitions,
advanced/wipe dalvik cache
reboot system now.

use the steps detailed in the link above. IMHO it's the best rom to date for i9001 based on JB.
Let me know in a PM if you need any help understanding any of the steps.

[Q] How to downgrade CWM (5.8.4.5 to 5.5)

Situation:
Initially I have rooted my phone with the procedure here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1695238
It comes with CWM 5.5 CF 1.5
I then installed Omega rom 7.0
I installed CWM Rom Manager, which accidentally updated the CWM to 5.8.4.5, which has a bug, and causing large nandroid backup.
Now, if I want to downgrade from 5.8.4.5 to 5.5, do I need to flash the phone with Odin just as if I first root my phone?
Just flash with Odin or Mobile Odin the CWM tar.

The safest thing would be to re-flash the stock firmware for your region from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2550692
(using Odin)
Then re-flash the CWM through Odin.
Make sure that "Auto-Reboot" is NOT ticked.
When Odin shows "reset", pull out your battery, and reboot normally.
Download CWM 6.0.4.5 from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2552935
(This version has graphic issues, but it works okay)
You can later use "TriangleAway" to reset the custom binary counters.
Press thanks if I helped in any way :silly:

I think this is a CWM recovery you can flash from stock recovery. Let me know if it helps.
