I have done several factory resets and flashed the official MI5 thru odin several times and I cannot get the binary back to official. It is stuck on custom. I can download the updated MJ4 Rom but when I install it keeps failing to install because my binary is not official. Please help. Never mind both statuses finally became official this is bullcrap, I wasted 2 hours trying to get this back to official status. I wish I could have done it faster.
How did you do it... I been trying ad ant get mine to change to official.

Got my Note the day that the local ATT store had it in stock. Rooted it the next day with Odin with no problems. I updated to the official ICS this morning but now its no longer rooted. I am sure there is a simple fix, and mabye I have become delerious in my frantic search for a solution, but everything I have tried thus far has not worked. Obviously I was probably supposed to return to stock before updating. Any lamens termed help would be appreciated. This is the third phone I have rooted, but I dont keep up with this stuff after I get them rooted.
Thanks in advance!
Root it the same way you did before. First you need to install clockwork through odin. Then install SU through CWM.
Unless I missed a step, Odin gave me the "Fail" indicator.
You are not mixing up the CWM tar and the Superuser zip are you?
I need help from you guys. I have a tmobile galaxy s4, I was rooted with cm11 4.4.2 and I tried to unroot to stock with odin and a firmware, but I fail and got a soft brick the first time. I download different odins and firmwares and finally got it to work, PASS I have stock 4.2.2 m919uvuemk2. but when it restarted I tried to delete wipe cache partition and reboot like it ask me to but it didn't work. Every time I reboot phone it gives me a message before it turns onit says kernel is not seandroid enforcing and set warranty bit kernel. My phone works fine except the wifi, it doesn't turn on. the devise status still say CUSTOM and I can not software update it says your devise your devise has been modify. I checked for root access and there is none. what can I do to fix this problems, should I reroot and use triangle away to delete the BINARY AND KNOX messages and after try to use a 4.3 firmware instead of 4.2.2. I want to have a complete stock phone that I can do OTA updates. Can some one please give the steps and point me in the right direction so I can take care of this problems. Thank You...
My SGH-I337 (ATT GS4) has been rooted for a month or two now but lately it's been having issues so I tried to restore it to stock. But, I manually removed the root via SuperSU so I would be able to update to 4.4 (I've been stuck on 4.2.2 because I was never notified 4.3 came out). Every time I update OTA it fails at 25%, so I tried via Kies. My firmware isn't even supported to update like that. I tried unrooting with Odin but that also didn't work. I've restored it to factory settings now, but the boot image still says custom and I can't use Yellow Triangle because that doesn't support locked AT&T basebands (which I read is unfixable). Is there ANY way I can fix this and get 4.4????
TL;DR
My phone is too rooted to OTA update but not rooted enough for Odin to work and I want KitKat

Ok I desperately need some help here. I first got my Note 2 February of last year and quickly rooted it and loaded up Scott's Clean Rom (whichever version was available at the time). I kept going through the updates for Clean Rom and had no issues and was still running Clean Rom until a few weeks ago. Since he was no longer making updates to it I decided just to return to stock since I didn't need root capabilities anymore. I went through the steps in this post, [GUIDE][VZW Edition]How to Root/Rom/Return to Stock the VZW Galaxy Note II! to flash the Official VRAMC3 4.1.2 update to return to stock and had no issues. Everything worked perfectly for several days. Then a friend of mine let me borrow his Note 3 out since I was thinking about buying one. While I had the Note 3, he accepted the latest factory update on my Note 2. Now I'm soft bricked, hopefully not hard bricked.
When I boot up the phone it just sits on the Galaxy Note 2 logo. I can't get into recovery but I can still get into Odin mode. I first tried using Odin to flash the pit file to repartition the phone, and even though I knew it probably wouldn't work I then tried loading the Official VRAMC3 4.1.2 update again. Of course it failed. I've tried multiple times since then to load the Official 4.3 updates, even the newest one that just came out a few days ago. No matter what I have tried I still cannot get the phone to load past the Galaxy Note 2 logo or get into recovery. Also when I go into Odin Mode here is exactly what it reads.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can't buy the Note 3 like I want to until I'm able to fix and sell this phone, so I'm currently stuck using my old HTC Thunderbolt that barely runs at this point. Thanks in advance!!

Did you try to go into Odin and flash this:
VRUEMJ9 4.3- http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23269279319197589(ONLY USE THIS IF YOU TOOK THE 4.3 OTA!! There currently is no bootloader unlock method for 4.3 which means you can no longer flash custom roms, recoveries, or kernels!!!)
with the pit inlcuded.. If not do so.. Then report back.. If you can not get past "Note 2" screen then see, now, if you can get into recovery.. Press UP+HOME+POWER.. and then proceed to do a Factory Reset.

That was the first thing that I tried and I still could not get pass the logo or get into Recovery. I will try it again though shortly and let you know what happens.
Just tried it. According to Odin everything Passes, but it still won't go past the logo screen and still won't go into recovery. Any other ideas?
So earlier today I had some time on my hands and decided to try and root my Rogers Note Edge phone. I failed miserably and now my phone does not seem to have an operating system and continuously restarts. I tried to restore it back to its factory settings, via Odin and Factory but with no success. Can anyone help me?
Not without more details.
What build number of the software were you on?
Which method to root did you use?
What else did you do to it (just rooting should not remove the operating system)?
What build number of the software did you try to reload with Odin?
Did the Odin flash work or did it fail with an error of some type?
i used everything in this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-edge/general/easy-steps-stock-odin-n915tuvu1anjl-sm-t2943993
-Odin3 v3.07
-twrp v2.8.6
odin failed and then passed twrp, on reboot my phone died. once charged it kept rebooting over and over. I can still get into download and recovery mode again but now twrp says i have no os and I also noticed while it charges it says "kernel is not seandroid enforcing", "set warranty bit:kernel"
You said that you used everything in that guide, but you made no mention of trying to load a rom. That's the next step... If you have no OS, you've got 2 choices. A rom or reload stock firmware via Odin.
Thanks for the support. I made it back to my stock os through smart switch, finally! But Im no longer rooted and Knox is still 0x1. I plan on trying again, should i use the same guide? Just wondering because it seems more based for American carriers , and I'm in Canada.
That guide is for Tmobile version, not yours. That's why it wasn't working right. I'm not aware of a method to reset the Knox counter. You can just install TWRP and use that to install SuperSU from Chainfire for root access.
Well if I can get root tonight I'll let ya know if triangleaway works for Knox reset. Had it recommended from a friend, guess you can get it off the play store.
