Voice quality - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3

I didn't have any of the problems with call quality that some of you but today I noticed a problem that I am hoping one of you may have a solution to. The call quality that I hear in my ear all of a sudden today became very tinty sounding and a little distorted. However when I listen to the call vis the speaker or a headphone the quality is okay. Is there another speaker that could have gone bad or a setting that would impact this?

Miui phone call quality

Am I the only one who is experiencing absolutely dreadful call quality with that rom? Either you can barely hear the person or they sound like a blown speaker pumping out digital noise.
Is there a fix for that for miui?

It is a known issue right now with no current fix. The devs are working intensely on resolving this issue as soon as possible.

Better call quality

Hi guys,
I've been having some issues with audio, people could not hear me. So I stared looking for a solution.
This is what I did:
Phone, menu, call settings, un tick noise reduction, in call-sound EQ set to clear sound.
Let me know if this worked for you guise, definitely worked for me

Since I got my SGS3 everyone I speak to over the phone tell me that the microphone quality is so good that it sounds like I'm right next to them speaking directly into their ear. It sounds the same for me too.

Jb update and sound quality

Has anybody else noticed the sound quality has gotten a lot better with the last update? Music is louder, crisper, and frequencies stand out more.
Thoughts? Or is it just me?

I generally only listen to music in the car over Bluetooth. It definitely has improved.
Yes I have noticed a big jump in sound quality and I like it way louder can bearly keep my volume up to max for to long

Yes, I've noticed. However, it only got bad after the last update, so I assumed that they just fixed what they broke last time.

Phone speaker to play on videos

Does anybody know of a way to hack the phone speaker to work when playing videos or music? Even if the volume was lower then the speaker on the back I think this would create a nice fill effect that would help the sound.

When you watch YouTube videos the speakers is on the back the the sound isn't the greatest. I'm wondering if there is a way to have the phone speaker play the audio for the videos as well as the speaker on the back? I think this would really help out when watching videos or playing music.

Dafuq?
I think when he is referring to the front speaker he means the one used when making phone calls. If I understand correctly, you are asking if there is a way to have audio from music and movies play through the rear speaker and the front, telephone speaker.
I have never seen anything like this but I'm sure there is a way somehow. However, the telephone speaker isn't meant for the kind of volume the rear speaker is and I don't imagine it would enhance the sound in any way. Also, you might cause damage to the telephone speaker if you were to try something like that.

This is what I meant. I know the telephone speaker wouldn't be that loud but I just think it would help. The telephone speaker would act like a surround sound speaker in a home theater. It's not that loud but it makes the entire system sound better.

Here is a cool video of an Element case that channels the sound from your back speaker to the front of your device. Pretty cool.

The speaker on the back of this phone is leaps and bounds better than the one on my rezound (with beats by dr dre). It may have something to do with the fact that he only impersonates a doctor and is not in fact a real doctor. just sayin

Low ringing sound

Is anyone feeling that the ringing sound is very low compared to the music played through the speakers?

same feeling here.
This......not so good!! Had a few phones with low ringtones, very annoying. Was hoping the Z2 to be on par with the G2 as I found that ringtone volume excellent!

How is the overall call volume? Is it loud enough?
Why do manufacturers do these dumb things?
I wanted the loud speakers mainly for the loud ringing advantage, as I set my phone down in one corner of the house and often miss calls as I can't hear it from the other rooms.
Hopefully there's a fix.

Apparently call volume is low too...
Everything was looking so promising for the Z2...[emoji22]
Can't be doing with a phone with low ring/notification sound...remember on the Sony Ericsson X1 the amount of calls and SMS I missed due to low (and poor quality sound).

Seriously, I don't know why every review I've read so far talks about the power front facing stereo speakers when the volume is really so poor. What's the use?
Looks more like a software glitch to me.
One more bug I find was the volume indicator which appears when you press the volume rocker doesn't seems to be moving continously the correct volume levels. Again, not sure whether it's just me alone with this bug.

Well it's a complete deal breaker for me. Seriously thinking of cancelling my pre-order
My opinion. Both call and ringer volume are more than sufficient.

Well, it depends on you, but I feel it's a software issue as I could hear loudly when I play music. So it can't be a hardware issue. It could be a matter of bug fix update from Sony to fix it.

Again, it's sufficient.
Web tests put the M8 at 85db and the Z2 at 82db.
I don't use my phone to blare music at high volume levels.
