Anyone notice this? It's like the keyboard does stuff on its own. I like the stock light Grey on light Grey keyboard the one that has been enabled somehow is weird.

The keyboard changed themes when the new mj4 update came out, not sure why though.

Any way to get that particular theme back? I liked it as well!
Anyone know the answer?

Hello. I've noticed almost everyone have been mentioning the gray statusbar. I was under the awareness that it is supposed to be gray/de-contrasted?
It was balck but with jb Sammy made it grey. So we have to live with it or install mod.

Would anyone be kind enough to upload a screen shot of the grey status bar?

Black or grey does it matter so much that the phone cannot be use. Lols. It's doesn't matter at all.

Hello to all,
Besides the Android Keyboard, the Optimus G came with an LG keyboard that was very similar to swype. After changing back and forward from the LG keyboard and the stock android keyboard, I decided to give a try in my new Optimus G to the Swype Beta that is free and doesn't have a time limit or any advertising/spamming adware.
Long story short, I find the Swype Keyboard the best and most accurate for me in the Optimus G.
Try it, and let me know if you consider another keyboard better for the Optimus G.

Hope it helps.

I use Thumb Keyboard on all my devices. I love the themes and the Pinned Text option. It lets you save text and input it with two taps (great for emails).

I love Swiftkey too, if only they would add the saved/pinned text feature. I would be all over it.
Swype beta FTW ... I've tried to stop using it several times (because of their PITA install/update process) but I always come back.
Edit: the now testing the new SwiftKey Flow.

The flow through space part needs some work, but swiftkey word prediction is definitely second to none.

Out of curiosity, did you notice in settings you can change the flow thru space behavior? Maybe that will help you out?

Here's what I am using. It was a big pain in the a$$ but if I posted my systemui.apk it gives the white status bar and toggles, dialer is ExDialer and same for contacts then gapps I added inverted ones and re odexed....that was quite a few apps.... big pain like I said. If I get a stock deodexed ROM out are there even any themers that are willing to make some???

I would love to learn how to theme, I know there are guides available. I just know I would still probably need some help. I think I have a few decent ideas for some things but not sure if I'd have the time to update crap every time the ROM's updated, you know? I have no problem working with png's and modifying them or creating my own custom icons. It's just where does it all go, blah, blah, blah.
Sent from my LG-E970 using xda app-developers app
I probably would have had a theme out already but i honestly think stock looks nice and finished. So i have about no motivation to retheme it. Only thing other then mms i debated was the lock screen.
Stock + nova launcher + ics plates glass icon pack = nothing for me to theme.
Awesome.
But why black and white with such a brilliant display??

Yeah it helps (more with AMOLED) but I like opening apps and people getting blown away when I put on Netflix or YouTube, etc I just keep my homescreen minimal and clean looking. Sometimes I switch to a darker blue and black but I have a NS4G. I have been seeing the holo blue for what seems like 2 years!
Oh, also I really like white status bar icons because you have no problem seeing them with brightness low

I gave up on GO so long ago I can't even remember all the things that I hated about it. Probably the most annoying thing was it becoming nagware to try other GO products, and placing an alternate notification for updating apps.
I seriously recommend trying Nova or Apex, they both have free versions and have a similar feature set to one another. Sorry I can't help with your original question, I just wanted to post and possibly help you see the light.

Apex and nova, free versions included, have more customization options than go. go is straight nagware (great word for it) for their other products. it feels like I'm running advertisements for my homescreen lol.

Not just the nagware, they can and WILL install apps on your phone to their markets etc. The day they started that I dropped them faster than a dress on prom night.
