It is possible to block all the background work dolphin do with ads and the other uneeded service wich use data and battery?
Suppose you leave dolphin open on a simple page while you are readind he is continuosly using your system even if you don't need...It's really heavy specially for the battery.
The layout and options as auto Fullscreen are amazing but i would like it working as the stock browser without connecting in the background with the dolphin server without permission...

I have greenify but this is ok only if you want to freeze the app running in background and is not the case of dolphin. The problem of dolphin is if you open it without browsing any page it start to work collecting your data. Also if you are reading any page it work a lot in background connecting with Dolphin server monitoring your info ecc...I would like to skip their server

Well, you can try to use lucky patcher, it've got many useful functions and maybe with lucky patcher you work out your problem.

Hi
When changing the foreground app via the taskswitcher, the new foreground app most of the time (if not always) has to reload/rebuild it's screen content. For example à web browser has to reload it's page (from the internet). This is slow..
Is there a way to configure things in a way that it keeps it's page in memory so that when switching back to the app, no reloading is needed ? It would make task switching à much more fluent expérience...
How to do this please ?
Thanks

You can use JKAY framework and lock the apps you want in memory
Sent from my GT-I9305 using xda app-developers app
The apps are reloading because they are being killed, stock browser for example is a fat ***** (a smooth ***** but FAT nonetheless). A few tabs can easily make it take up 100mb-150mb of ram and thus it gets killed by android and when you go back to it, all the tabs have to reload. Another scenario is android killing other apps (like contacts, or messaging) to make room for the foreground app (such as the browser), you then switch to messaging and the browser is killed as a result, to make more room

Thanks for thé idea... But for me the installation of this framework seems complicated.. And I understand that it requires à specific rom and does not work with my stock rom (international s3) 4.1.1 (and soon 4.1.2)? Is that right ?
So it would be nice to have a easier solution to keeping some apps in memory (including their graphic pages)
Anyone ?
Thanks !

Anyone tried cydia on play store? Needs root. My note 2 is not rooted yet.
Would love to see Zephyr on my note 2.

Cydia is only a download manager..
This lets developers edit closed-source apps.

Well, actually it's a substrate to build extensions, similar to xposed framework

so had to boot my phone up holding vol+ to disable cydia and than deleted it
im using Phoenix Rom 11 with exposed framework
Dont try this App. Some guy want to use the popular name of Cydia to get some downloads. No one know what it is inside in this. Maybe a virus? High advertisements?

I don't think it would be a virus. Just not ready yet. I'll not be in a hurry to try it now thanks.

WinterBoard is definitely "not there yet", and it is not unexpected that it would die on your non-stock ROM if you are trying, for example, icon themes (which I only really would claim work on the stock Launcher). For random resource replacement themes (a la Theme Chooser), those can cause the process to crash if they replace something like a layout with an incompatible layout, which is somewhat likely to happen if there is a large skew between the setup the theme was designed for and the one on which you are loading it.

Correct; I'm definitely not "some guy" wanting "to use the popular name of Cydia to get some downloads", I'm the developer of the Cydia platform, and I've done a port of Substrate to Android from iOS: much of the code (all of the C/C++-level function hook support) is shared between the two platforms.
I've tried a few different methods and this one app i tried to use said it was incompatible because I had an emulated storage (not sure about what it means). If anyone has any surefire methods I would be very appreciative!
I haven't been able to install anything and I have a 32gb memory card.
I'm using foldermount app from the store and it works great.
I had a reboot issue but is documented on developers site faq

Mind listing out some directions for me? Thanks a lot
Download adblock plus for Android here: https://update.adblockplus.org/latest/adblockplusandroid.apk
Install it
Go to Settings > More > Cellular Networks > Access point names
Select your APN. Set proxy to localhost and the Port to 2020
Hit the menu and save it
To block ads while on Wifi
Go to settings > Wifi > long press your connected Wifi connection and choose Mofdify
Set proxy to manual, scroll down and set the proxy and port to the same as above
Load up adblock plus and ...
Profit
Alternatively you can install block this apk from below
https://block-this.com/how-to-install-blockthis.php
Block This blocks in app ads as well as in the web browser
Nice work mate:good:

did you save the apn after editing it?
Ty!
Trying it on my nexus7 2013 Wi-Fi, and the main thing I've noticed is that the pictures/videos won't load in Instagram. Any way to "white list" an app? Otherwise, so far so good!
*edit* Also noticing ads on YouTube. Not sure if they would be impacted or not, but figured I'd bring it up. Great work otherwise!

I did. I think ABP is just missing some of the ads I see most often. After a reboot apps and web pages look the same on WiFi and cellular.
Adguard..
Thanks bro

Nope, anything that allows blocking ads is against the ToS and will be removed.

Just removed root from Android N DP4 as it might is the reason for my device lag and freeze. Installed Adblocker Plus, configured proxy, saved APN. Opened Google News and got pop-up ad in ten seconds.
Thanks this was much needed
