Hello,
The past few days I've been experiencing random shutdowns and reboots. It just randomly turns off then displays the splash screen of "Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300". It displays that for about 4 seconds then turns off and displays it again. Most of the time when I try to go into recovery it just restarts as soon as I get into recovery. When I eventually do get into recovey I press reboot system now and it says "Fix root - /system/su" or something along those lines. Now it just reboots when I press it. Right now I'm running the latest version of Archidroid. These problems started happening on the latest version of SentinelROM. Also now whenever I press the power button in any rom it either locks, comes up with the menu that shows up when you hold it down or just turns itself off. What can I do?
Thanks,
Lachlan

i recently tried to flash hatka battery life after reading a guide, saying it was okay to flash the rom first now i am stuck with my droid dna not being able to turn off and only restarting. can someone please help me i am able to get to lockscreen and settings but the screen is black and i get android htcdialer has stopped when it opens. whenever i try to adb it says error
If your phone is frozen on a particular screen, keep holding down the power button, you will see your bottom 3 icons flash repeatedly, Keep holding the power button until it powers off (restarts), the hold time varies-sometimes you need to repeat this process. Once off (actually restarting), hold the volume down key in and it will re boot into fastboot/recovery, you can scroll to recovery and then restore (hope you have a backup)
i was on cm 10, then my phone stopped turning on, so i used odin to get the phone back to stock android, and it still wont turn completely on. i think my boot loader may be messed up? i have no idea.
when i press the power button, first thing i see is "Samsung galaxy gt -I9000" then a screen that says "Vibrant" then screen turns black and nothing happens. i know its strange that it says gt - i9000 but thats what it used to be with the cm 10 roms.
i get to the download screen by holding volume up + power button. i can not get to recovery which used to be volume down + power button.
please help!

The reason you see Samsung Galaxy GT-I9000 when you boot your phone up is because you have somehow flashed Gingerbread bootloaders to your phone. GB bootloaders allow you to boot to download mode with UP + POWER and recovery with DOWN + POWER. This is a good thing though, I have GB bootloaders too and its much easier to boot into recovery or download. From what I can tell you need to flash back to stock again, make sure you have repartitioned checked, correct files can be found from this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=849028. If it still bootloops then you may have a kernel problem, you could try to flash one of Fishman's 2.2 ROMS (Odin versions) and then flash a 2.2 kernel (Odin version), maybe this will boot your phone up.
I have just rooted my S# GT-I9305T using SkipSoft program and worked fine. I then tried to sideload SuperSu as I had 2.01 version. Now I did that the phone keeps rebooting showing the S3 screen then tries to go into Teamwin and loops cant get it to boot up. Can someone please help. If I hold the volume button and power button and home button it boots into a screen that says Warning Custom OS can cause problems.....Volume Up Continue Volume Down Cancel If you goto Up then a screen pops up and says Downloading and looks like nothing happening. Goto Down and starts to loop again
Hi I need some advice please.
I have a Samsung 64GB S6 Edge, currently received an official update on Three UK Network.
I ran the update and during my phone restarted and now constantly restarts to the "Three.co.uk" screen, freezes then restarts again over and over.
I looked up how to factory reset but none of the combinations work, when I hold the volume menu and power button it brought up a "custom OS firmware" screen. I had the option to volume up for download OS or down to restart. Volume up goes to a download screen and freezes on that. Volume down sends it back to square one.
Can you advise me on my next step please? Is there a way to connect it to a PC for a forced update or reset.
Much appreciated.
Update, I allowed the phone to die. plugged it into the charger and volume, power, menu worked this time. i performed a factory reset. issue still occurs. restarts to three screen and freezes for a while until it restarts again

Use Samsung smartsync to do an emergency firmware recovery on a mac or PC.

whether I release power button, release and re-press or keep finger on power button or release all three buttons.' SAMSUNG appears for a half a second and the screen goes black
ROM Toolbox starts to a failed root check, then predictably gives the 'an error occurred while processing the command' message on reboot recovery
(FWIW it DOES go into download mode but is never seen by XP so I cant get to first base with Odin)
I am trying to clean out the cache after I tried to update and received the YOUR PHONE HAS BEEN MODDED error message

Are you experienced with going to recovery in your s3. I hold it usually longer than required.
Maybe yiu should try that because the s3 isn't that much of a beast.
I usually keep holding all three buttons and when samsung logo appears i leave the power button but keep holding the vol and home until twrp shows up. Try that. Might work.

yes, I am
I have tried that method about two dozen times and wondered if there were any other tricks?
Hold home and vol+ while tapping the power button until you see the screen light up and let go of power but keep home and vol+ pressed.
If you can get adb you can type: adb reboot recovery (adb must be enabled in dev settings).
If you have a rooted stock rom installed it wouldn't hurt to flash the stock recovery via mobile odin and go from there.
