[Q] Anyone know where I can get I9300XXEMG4_I9300OXAEMG4_BTU.zip ? - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm currently trying to download from Sammobile but they host their ROMs with Hotfile.com, and I currently have a wait in excess of 7hrs - unless I pay for a membership.
Does anyone have I9300XXEMG4_I9300OXAEMG4_BTU.zip in their Dropbox or something that I can download a bit quicker? Or know where else I can find it?

Better take a back up of another similar device's ROM and flash it.
I think you can't get it anywhere except from hot file.

I'm about to sell this phone and want to return it to stock by flashing BTU via Odin. So I need this particular ROM.

Will be a .tar if flashing via odin, not zip.
All firmwares are on sammobile.com
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/
It shouldnt take 7 hrs.
Or just get it from the stock roms thread in general :/

With zip file, can we flash it in recovery ?

Have you looked in the stock roms thread or do you not have a saved original firmware have you tried Google .

Thanks, I'm presuming the .zip will contain the .tar when decompressed.
I did search the forums first before posting and only came up with this thread which contains links to SamMobile and hence Hotfiles:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1646610
And this thread which just contains links to really old firmwares (I don't want to install and then have to update it, just want to do it all at once):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1671969
My current download via sammobile (and their hosting service hotfiles) is currently downloading at 25 KB/sec :-/
850 MB is going to take a looooong time, hence my posting this question.
If anyone can link me to somewhere else I can download the stated file quicker than 7hrs then I would be immensely grateful.

I've got a really old Three UK stock firmware, but I want the generic UK ROM on this phone before I pass it on.
If you can point me to a thread that I haven't mentioned in my last post then that would be great.
I've tried searching Google but only got links to hotfiles, sites blocked by my broadband provider, or malicious sites which try and get me to download an .exe!!

Spoof fw might be worth a try .

Try this if you want, its from my own personal backup and is the file you are asking for, extract the MD5 file and flash using odin
MEDIAFIRE

My friend told me to try 'zbigz' you have to give link to them and they will download that file and you can download the file from them with high speed and resume capability also

Hotfile has been taken down. Whats needed is another hoster for official roms. Samobile is ok but the hoster they use (Terafile), if you dont have a premium account, the download times are frustratingly long. Just tried to download a rom (I9300XXEMG4) and the download time is 5 hrs and Im on a 78mb connection

[Q] Re upload the vodafone australia csc

Hey guys,
I was just wondering since multi/megaupload are both down would it be possible to re upload one of the Individual CSC Packages from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278 onto a different website that is still accessible. specifically the vodafone australia ones. it would be greatly appreciated as i am still a noob at flashing
Actually instead of the CSC for vodafone australia, could someone just re upload the official vodafone au carrier software that normaly came from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1113928 because i need the whole file and im guessing all that use vodafone in australia will also really appreciate if anyone can help us Btw the latest version would be preferable (DUKJ1) but all are good
Do a search on here for Checkfus.
You can use it to download KJ1 (as this would also normally be available on Kies). I did this myself a couple of weeks ago in case I need to return my phone to stock for whatever reason.
I really need vodafone au stock rom. My phone turns off automatically. Any one can guide me to the specific links.
Many thanks

You got a free thanks due to my fat fingers As per my above post, search on here for Checkfus, download it (small app - couple of hundred kb, takes 30 seconds to DL), then use it to find/download Voda KJ1 stock. Flash this package in the PDA section of Odin (follow the guide here)

Is there a relationship between multiupload URLs and URLs on the various download sites? All the files must be up somewhere, even if megaupload is down.

Galaxy S II Messed Up

Greetings XDA,
Lets say a Galaxy S II was rooted and then deleted some files from the system and edited some others. Then that Galaxy S II started malfunctioning and be useless.
How can you remove rooting and everything get back to original [ meaning like never rooted or edited files ] ?
Don't get upset i am a noob indeed and maybe annoying but i am a lawyer and i only play with papers. I gave this colleague of me my phone because he wanted to "see" something, at least that's what he said, and i went to the meeting, then he ran to find me and told me he messed it a little bit.
Can it be restored?
Will flashing firmware unroot the device and restore files back to stock?
Thanks anyone who answers or even view the thread.
Find your original firmware in intratechs thread and flash it through odin
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
You're sparse with info, like most lawyers..
If you can boot into download mode, do so and flash a stock ROM via Odin. System files will be restored but you'll lose root. If that goes well then you can re-root
Then you should boot your colleague in testicle mode.

My colleague still tries to find info on internet on how to restore it and keeps saying how sorry he is. Why do i need to reroot? I don't want to be rooted.
Does it need to be rooted? Because he rooted it i never wanted that.
Will doing so bring up all manipulated files?
A lawyer doesn't lie, just manipulates truth and info

ONE LAST QUESTION, CAN I CHOOSE ONE OTHER MEANING OF T MOBILE EVEN THOUGH I AM COSMOTE? OR AN OFFICIAL ONE OR EVEN THE LATEST OR THIS WILL DAMAGE THE SGS?
You could download CheckFus to your PC and it will find the correct firmware and I think download it too.. A bit sparse on the details as I have never used it but heard good things about it

I can't seem to log on to Samfirmware at the moment, don't know why, so I can't check the available firmwares or your link.
Is there a BOKK1 firmware for Cosmote there? If so, that's the one you want.
If not, is your phone locked to Cosmote?

If you're not locked, any Cosmote firmware should be fine.

New Rom, No Back UP, What now?

So, I installed a Rom without a backup and I'd like to go back on the factory stock ROM.
I'm in Canada on Telus S3 SGH-i747 factory rom…can anyone help??
I did go on the samsung site but the feature to find the proper version based on the country doesn't seem to work on my phone (To obtain them simply open dialpad and type: for PCode *2767*4387264636# and for PDA/PHONE/CSC *#1234#.)
Now, I'm stuck with this ROM that isn't working too well, I don't have a backup, KiES won't recognize my phone in windows, what to do?
Anyone have a factory ROM for the above model? What are my options?
(PS: I learn my leason - back up!)
1. Search for checkfus
2. Download it
3. Use checkfus to download stock rom (use google and xda to find out how)
4. Reflash stock using odin
No worries and good luck

If you feel uncomfortable you might just search for a link in the forums (personally I prefer to get the stock rom from samsung).

Firmware; if Samfirmware, AndroidFirmwares.net or Samsung-Updates.com don't have what you need, you're either out of luck or you'll need to use something else.
re: rooting this phone - search. This phone was released almost 3 yrs ago, and it would take you ten lifetimes to read every instance of this question being asked & answered on this site during this time. You've been here more than long enough to know this.

Try another internet connection (work/school/internet cafe/whatever) or you'll need to use another firmware, the chances of someone reading your thread who has that firmware is very remote. Why not upgrade to stock ICS or JB & then root ?

You couldn't find one? Then you didn't to search very hard, as a 30 sec!ond search pulls up multiple sources for what you want. The stock recovery is of course contained in all of the full stock firmware images. So you could simply download a full firmware image from any number of places and use winrar to get the file that you need. Or a search would have also shown you that a member named toastido has already done so for you.
