You couldn't find one? Then you didn't to search very hard, as a 30 sec!ond search pulls up multiple sources for what you want. The stock recovery is of course contained in all of the full stock firmware images. So you could simply download a full firmware image from any number of places and use winrar to get the file that you need. Or a search would have also shown you that a member named toastido has already done so for you.

So it is. You're a little panicky though.. doesn't seem like you realize that it would work on the S5 nonetheless.
But we can't have the regulars panicking, so here is the correct file

No it won't. As far as I know (and tried) it won't brick your phone, but you will have to flash the correct file over it otherwise you won't be able to boot into recovery. Feel free to prove me wrong.

Am i missing something? The link in the first post leads to a blog full of oc mods for the tab?
Edit: I stand corrected, a small amount of digging around the blog turned this up;
http://droidbasement.com/galaxy/sys-backup/hc_31/hc-3.1_ota-full_sam_tab_10.1.zip
Guess you cant just have everything handed to you on a silver platter.

I found (and used) ODIN stock ROM at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1136958&highlight=loop (in Post #2 of thread)
This is for 7105 not for 7510 model unfortunately.

Doesn't need to, the method of flashing is irrelevant. The outcome is what matters.
well if you can only go as far as the download system menu it kind of does, I guess there is a way to push the zip to the internal SD using ADB but I'm not that desperate yet
The ODIN would be much nicer to have.

It was more of a ROM request/search hence I assumed appropriate for this section of the forum.

Are you referring to the link in post #7? I have the 16 GB WiFi model, which I think is 7510 (http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/galaxy-tab/GT-P7510UWYXAB), and I ODIN'd that ROM with no problem.
Not sure what 7105 refers to.

Galaxy S II Messed Up

Greetings XDA,
Lets say a Galaxy S II was rooted and then deleted some files from the system and edited some others. Then that Galaxy S II started malfunctioning and be useless.
How can you remove rooting and everything get back to original [ meaning like never rooted or edited files ] ?
Don't get upset i am a noob indeed and maybe annoying but i am a lawyer and i only play with papers. I gave this colleague of me my phone because he wanted to "see" something, at least that's what he said, and i went to the meeting, then he ran to find me and told me he messed it a little bit.
Can it be restored?
Will flashing firmware unroot the device and restore files back to stock?
Thanks anyone who answers or even view the thread.
Find your original firmware in intratechs thread and flash it through odin

You're sparse with info, like most lawyers..
If you can boot into download mode, do so and flash a stock ROM via Odin. System files will be restored but you'll lose root. If that goes well then you can re-root
Then you should boot your colleague in testicle mode.

My colleague still tries to find info on internet on how to restore it and keeps saying how sorry he is. Why do i need to reroot? I don't want to be rooted.
Does it need to be rooted? Because he rooted it i never wanted that.
Will doing so bring up all manipulated files?
A lawyer doesn't lie, just manipulates truth and info

You could download CheckFus to your PC and it will find the correct firmware and I think download it too.. A bit sparse on the details as I have never used it but heard good things about it

but even if i had it i dont have a clue neither what it is nor how to do it...
plus those different things drive me mad... i know a million of common laws and staff but this things are a new language to me... man i am lost..
Don't panic
I can't seem to log on to Samfirmware at the moment, don't know why, so I can't check the available firmwares or your link.
Is there a BOKK1 firmware for Cosmote there? If so, that's the one you want.
If not, is your phone locked to Cosmote?

its not logged..cosmote is from greece, but we try to import as many things we can so my country helps them. i am from cyprus as well. its not locked to Cosmote.
Please check the picture i will reupload to tell me what is it... if its bokk1 for sure...
If you're not locked, any Cosmote firmware should be fine.
For one last check, dial *#1234# on your phone and post what it says for PDA, Phone and CSC.

Well firstly, please use common sense and write logical topic titles. "Pls help" and other such silly titles mean absolutely nothing to people who are browsing the forum. Titles are supposed to be descriptive, ie describe the topic briefly.
Secondly you cant have looked very far because there is plenty of ICS based kernels in the Dev area. Just go grab the Siyah kernel and flash via ODIN and your done.

It's the link to Siyah kernel download site. Scroll down and find Siyah for S2 ver 4.1.5. Choose TAR ver (as you prefer).
That's it.

Maybe the forum rules arent displayed clearly enough. Should have an individual prompt message for each rule when someone is registering.
Then again, some would still not get it. Its fighting a losing battle.

The prompt before you post a thread is a good idea. But yeah, you're probably right, people would ignore it anyways.

the help is much appreciated as I had been hacking at it for two days. it was not easy finding the firmware but I eventually found it and it is now backed up in a safe place with a proper name. Tablet is running like brand new. although I like my new Nexus 7 a lot more. learning that I just had to install the firmware and not a ROM made all of the difference. I was about to give up but I have never given up in the past and I'm not about to start. I was a little more patient but I was finally able to get it back up thanks to your advice.

[Q] Anyone know where I can get I9300XXEMG4_I9300OXAEMG4_BTU.zip ?

I'm currently trying to download from Sammobile but they host their ROMs with Hotfile.com, and I currently have a wait in excess of 7hrs - unless I pay for a membership.
Does anyone have I9300XXEMG4_I9300OXAEMG4_BTU.zip in their Dropbox or something that I can download a bit quicker? Or know where else I can find it?
Better take a back up of another similar device's ROM and flash it.
I think you can't get it anywhere except from hot file.

Will be a .tar if flashing via odin, not zip.
All firmwares are on sammobile.com

It shouldnt take 7 hrs.

Thanks, I'm presuming the .zip will contain the .tar when decompressed.
I did search the forums first before posting and only came up with this thread which contains links to SamMobile and hence Hotfiles:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1646610
And this thread which just contains links to really old firmwares (I don't want to install and then have to update it, just want to do it all at once):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1671969
My current download via sammobile (and their hosting service hotfiles) is currently downloading at 25 KB/sec :-/
850 MB is going to take a looooong time, hence my posting this question.
If anyone can link me to somewhere else I can download the stated file quicker than 7hrs then I would be immensely grateful.

I've got a really old Three UK stock firmware, but I want the generic UK ROM on this phone before I pass it on.
If you can point me to a thread that I haven't mentioned in my last post then that would be great.
I've tried searching Google but only got links to hotfiles, sites blocked by my broadband provider, or malicious sites which try and get me to download an .exe!!
Spoof fw might be worth a try .

Hotfile has been taken down. Whats needed is another hoster for official roms. Samobile is ok but the hoster they use (Terafile), if you dont have a premium account, the download times are frustratingly long. Just tried to download a rom (I9300XXEMG4) and the download time is 5 hrs and Im on a 78mb connection
