[Q] Usb storage damaged (usb otg) - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys !
Whenever i plug in my 4GB usb stick into the phone (using usb otg cable) i get an error Usb storage damaged, please format. A month ago it worked perfectly now all of sudden i've got this error. It does work on the pc and i already formatted it countless times, even used different formats (ntsf, fat, fat 32, exfat ...).
Thanks for the help in advance.

USB Flash Drive partition

I've been trying to get my 16GB thumb drive recognized on my DNA, but had no luck. Using microUSB-to-USB adapter.
Formated it first to exFAT so I can fit massive 1080p Blu-Ray rips, but that wouldn't get recognized in Astro.
I would see "Unable to charge your USB device" or "It's safe to unplug your USB device" in the notification bar, but that's about it. Then tried NTFS, no dice.
Finally tried FAT32, which limits your files to 4GB, again, no dice.
Any suggestion is very appreciated!
Figured it out. Had to mount it first ... duh.... NTFS works.

[U] Noosy U-Disk MicroSD

Hey guys,
i bought a Noosy Smartphone U-Disk and received it today. It's a 4gb USB pendrive with a usb and a micro-usb plug and MicroSD support (it has an adapter under the usb plug). The pendrive itself works fine but i can't enter the microsd i inserted... Has anyone got an idea what i could do to get access?
back it up and format it to fat32 system
I already did it... I even tried it as ext4 :/
Do you mean you can't browse to USB disk if yes than use a file explorer like solid explorer press back button one time and you will see USB
Sent from my Xperia U using Tapatalk 2
I can browse usbdisk but i can't access the micro sd i inserted into the stick's adapter... i don't know if sxu isn't supporting it... i even changed vold.fstab (the line for ext_card was missing)...

[Q] Using USB OTG with external SD card reader?

Any thoughts/ideas on the following would be welcome. I have got USB OTG working fine on my HTC flyer using an OTG cable and Y cable for external power with a USB pen drive.
However when I try to use the same set up with a USB SD Card reader, I get the message "USB device not supported - The USB device you have connected is not supported. Please unplug both the USB device and the dongle.
Any thoughts on why this is not supported or any fixes?
The card reader works fine with the same 4gb sd card (from camera) on windows PC.

Slowdown/Freeze when copying to OTG device

When I am copying a huge file from my internal / extSD memory to a OTG usb stick, I am somewhat unable to use my phone during the copying process. It appears as if my phone has slowed down a lot or frozen.
Same happens when copying from my laptop to internal or extSD memory via MTP.
Any ideas how to fix this?
When I connect to USB OTG of my phone with a pendrive it says drive error everytime... what might be the problem ???

USB OTG Support

Hi guys. I am having trouble loading my Kingston 8 GB USB Drive via OTG. My Samsung SII wont load it. I have connected a 32 GB MicroSD Card and 1 GB USB (Kingston) and it was all good to go. My usb is formatted on FAT32 partition so it may be detected but unable to make it detected. I just wanted to ask that if my SII support 8 GB USB or not?. Just curious. Need some response about it. Thanks !
