IMEI lost after jellyblast v3.0 Rom on Ace i - Galaxy Ace S5830i Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Recently I flashed jellyblast v3.0 on Ace 5830i .
Amazingly my IMEI was lost but Galaxy toolbox can see the correct IMEI but the phone itself shows unknown and the Galaxy toolbox can't restore IMEI .
when I restored the cwm backup my IMEI was there.
So can anyone tell me why this is happening and how fix it.

Jellyblast needs to be flashed with a Kernel and Modules zip, that's what I know and it worked when I had it.

Hit ThanX if I helped, it won't hurt, maybe...

Flash this Ril.zip
I have the same problem, Just now but then i got the ril.zip files
You have to flash any one ril.zip file and check is the imei detected.
If the imei is still blank then flash another one
Here is the link please read the post and i am sure that you will get your imei back

-give me your ROM and kernel details
-do you have a backup for your /efs?
Swyped from my Samsung Galaxy SII
If you have a backup of the folder efs made at a time when everything worked and then all of the information therein are correct in 99% of the cases by replacing everything returns to work well , if the problem remains flash rom stock clean the problem should disappear ......

check if u have ur efs folder in root
u can use es file explorer (with root access given from setting )
or use root explorer
If baseband number is also unknown, then the problem is in phone (modem). Just flash modem through Odin.

What about your kernel? .
Siyah always create a backup of your efs folder anytime you flash it.

If you can return your phone back to stock, and send it to service centre, they will help you repair it.

This is from the Omega thread OP..
1. Make sure to make and keep in a safe place an efs backup - nadroid backup - titanium backup - etc, in case you ever need to restore!
2. With the new firmware from Samsung for the S3 they have changed some security code that will disable the use of older modems, the new update changes the EFS partition which makes it impossible for an older modem being use without upsetting your IMEI (No Phone Signal), please make sure you do have a backup of your EFS in a safe place before you flash to the latest Omega ROM.
This is what Samsung has done, and it seems that its being done to all the new Modems on all the high end devices.
More info
3. Flash with No Full Wipe only from v43.x and previous Omega 4.1.2 versions - if

[Q] Galaxy s3 - IMEI after rooting

Hi everyone,
I hope someone can assist me.
I rooted my i9300 device using Samsung Galaxy S3 ToolKit.
After installing a couple ROMS i decided that i wanted to revert back to the original / stock Samsung rom (Downloaded from Sammobile)
What i discovered after restoring the stock rom is that my IMEI number had changed to 004999010640000 and am no longer registered on my network.
I then rooted my phone again and noticed that Omega rom is correctly showing the correct IMEI number and i can make calls and send SMS's
I have tried backing up my efs after flashing the OMEGA rom and then restoring it after installing the stock rom and that didn't work.
So basically:
I get the wrong IMEI number when running stock android from Samsung.
I get the correct IMEI number when running OMEGA rom.
Can someone assist me with this?
i think if u install custom rom,u will have an EFS backup..if u have EFS backup, plz google how to restore it..

No the only common clue is that the less posts you have made the more likely it is to happen .So what do noobs do wrongs is still the unknown factor and we get zero feedback to investigate .

Well this is what i did:
Rooted my phone with Samsung Galaxy S3 ToolKit and TWRP.
Installed a couple ROMS (CM 10.1 and Omega)
After flashing from Omega rom back to CM 10.1 or Samsung stock rom i discovered that my IMEI number was wrong.
The only rom that shows my IMEI number correctly is the Omega rom.
I managed to get my stock rom showing the IMEI number after installing the emergency modem supplied earlier in the post.
Thread moved to proper forum
At some point you flashed then booted a rom later or equal to EMG4, which changed the format of information in the efs folder.
Only you know what you did, we can only guess. You're lucky you didn't do what many seem to at that point -panic flash until you brick it.
No IMEI after trying to go back to 4.3 from 4.4
I attempted to go back to the stock 4.3 after upgrading to 4.4.2 My phone was previously rooted 4.3 using RootNoKnox and was working great. When I attempted to go back to stock 4.3 . At first my SIM card wasn't recognized then I noticed no IMEI. Tried other things & nothing works. Pretty much in a bind. Will include screenshot (taken w/another phone). Any answer will be appreciated.

You Flashed DEVIL KERNEL?
If you did http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/orig-development/kernel-devil2-2-3-2-omni-cm-samsung-t2528624 the first flashers LOSE Their baseband too.
Try to read the thread on how they fixed the problem. Are you running on CM? Dual Boot?

Bump for me
Flash the full stock rom for your country with Odin then factory reset in recovery. If efs is not read by the stock rom then restore your efs backup.
No backup then you'll have to pay for a repair.

If your IMEI is 0049 or null, try to use a patched MG4 modem first. Revolutionary roms don't have modem in them so that can cause some issues occasionally.
Let me know if it works.

Hello There,
I think the problem is the rom itself, i advise you to degrade your phone to its stock rom/orig rom and find a better rom.

- I would recommend never to post imei anywhere
- If the imei matches then all's ok.
- Stock rom depends on the country. You can search on sammobile and flash with Odin. 4.3 not recommended if you like flashing roms.

I advise to flash patched modems
You should try 2

To check work both efs versions
If you don't know about efs stuff I advice to read imei thread in the sticky. Good luck with flashing modems :good:
