Any word on nighties starting for CM? Is AOKP in the works for this device?
Haven't seen or heard anything, but I'm reallllly hoping something happens soon
Until all the bugs are worked out in the stock ROM I wouldn't expect anything soon
I saw something about CM 11 being uploaded, but there weren't any other details.

hey im sure this has been answered before but i couldnt find anything was wondering what the difference was between the two.. im stuck inbetween the two and dont know which to choose plz and thank you
You probably mean "icssgs release 4.2".
The icssgs rom, by Onecosmic and others, is very explicitly built from the basic android code, AOSP. it does not and will not have the many CM improvements.
The Passion rom and the CM9 kang are based on the Cyanogenmod 9 codebase and so will have CM features as they get ported from CM 7 to CM 9.
Hey guys!
I'm new to this forum and having unsuccessfully searched for the answer to my question, I decided to start this thread, maybe some of you will know. So, has any of you tried to flash the official CM 9 for shooteru? If yes, could you please share your experience?
AW: [Q] CM 9 official nightly builds
No, we had devil toast, which was -at least at that point- much better , less bugs, working cam, stable, fast
The official builds weren't that complete, maybe they are it now but we also have unofficial cm10(.1) roms which I would recommend to use (butter, Google now,....)
Some of the later cm9 builds didn't even have working camera... At least for me it didn't work lol.

Thank you guys. Just thought that since it has been updated weekly for a few months now, it may have gotten better.
I don't know the first thing about porting over a rom but was wondering if there is a possibility that this rom is portable to our device? If it is and no one else wanted to build it, is it very hard to build?

It looks like it has similar features to Pac-Man which is a mix of up CM10.1, AKOP and Paranoid, might wanna give that a shot in the mean time.
I must say, I've been curious about that rom as well.
I've been flashing custom ROMs for a few years now and I've noticed something that I've always been meaning to ask about. At first a lot of ROMs are great. As daily drivers they work with very few if any bugs. Now I'm talking "stable" ROMs, not beta or nightly. But over time it seems like they become buggy. Does anyone else experience this? Even if you don't flash the updated kernel or newest gapps.... it just starts to get buggy. Anyone else experience this?
Hello!
I have a problem with distorted voice, when i'm calling someone else on my Samsung Galaxy S3 with installed latest release of ICS version of cyanogen mod. Does someone know solution for this trouble? Solution which isn't installing other rom of course. Also maybe do you know any other ICS roms which perfectly works on I9300?
Thank you in advance!
Why do you want to use such an old release ?
Nobody is using cm9 anymore, so I doubt you will find a solution.
I highly recommend you to switch to a more modern rom like :
-latest official snapshot of cm11 http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/orig-development/rom-cyanogenmod-11-nightlies-t2529775 if you want something really stable
-this unofficial cm12.1 http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/development/cyanogenmod-12-1-t3345690 which is also stable
-The official cm13 http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...t/rom-cyanogenmod-13-nightlies-i9300-t3272811 even if it's less stable
I have a GS3 SCH-I535 and I use CM12.1 and TWRP.
It works for me (so to speak) and I plan to use CM13 as soon as it is ironed out a bit more.
CM9 is such an old ROM, I'm surprised anyone is using it but, to all it's own.
Good luck!
