hi
I am thinking about to buy the galaxy note 8 [n5120 ]
I had the tab 7 7.unfortunately it is broken.
I would like to know which rom is best or better for n5120?

1. Wrong forum. This is dev only.
2. I'll never understand this question. It's always going to be personal preference...

It's very easy. First step is don't be an idiot. Second step is don't make accounts on forums just to ask your question. And now you can go to step 3 and 4 and 5... These steps are for example using search, get to know android, buy a book about it maybe etc. You get my point.

[Q] Which ROM is most likely to get ICS stable first?

Hi guys,
Sorry if this has been covered, but I couldn't find anything. Also, this question is not "when will ICS be released"
I've never used a custom rom with my SGS, so I was wondering which ROMs are considered the most stable, and which devs usually get new versions out quick with few bugs. The reason is I can then follow the thread for that ROM and see who pushes it out first
Cheers!
Your question is still stupid. Nevertheless, most probably teamhacksung will be the first with their CM ROM. Most other AOSP ROMs just use their work to create their own.

I'd recommend following these 2 forums, and you will definitely get the 1st version of ICS available on this site...

It was perfectly relevant. I can't tell you what you're going to like. You need to do what most other people do and try things for yourself. If someone offered you vanilla, chocolate or strawberry, would you ask them which was best or just try them?
Anyway, your question was...

No-one can possibly answer that. Watch the development forums and find out like the rest of us.
Anyway, it will probably be available AOSP before any "flavouring" is done, as the Nexus is AOSP.

I would suggest that you try to find a i9100. But as far as the I9100g, why don't you take a look in their development forum and see if you like any of their stuff

Thing is, i777 has it's own forum. So unless someone owns both an i9100 and an i777, then an i777 owner probably isn't going to read this

Omg ppl if you can't help me is better to not answer! Here is the ppl that have i9100 exynos and i9100g TI OMAP. So i777 is the same as i9100 chipset so that's how ppl can help. Sometimes is better to stay quiet. Ty for your help :sly:

The point is, you're not bright enough to understand there isn't anyone likely to read this that can give you an honest opinion. Anyone who does give you an opinion is speculating, and if you value someone else's speculative opinion over your own considered research, again, you're clearly none too bright.

I don't own either, and certainly not both (as others have pointed out, the likelihood of you finding such a person is slim), how do I vote?
Maybe a moderator will add "best device" to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1612881 which really should go without saying in a device's subforum.
One can only hope.

Isn't the same thing, the thing is that KERNELS/ROMS can be obtained for anyone here, phones not, you have to buy it or knowing somebody that have it, so if any of you haven't those phones is ok i'll keep waiting for someone that can help me like the first person that post here. So like i said if anyone can give me a answer to this post why you waste your time answering anything that meybe doesn't help me? (I'm not saying that you did that) Cheers..

The guy who posted from his I9100 in the I9100 forum told you he recommends the I9100? Shocker. Must have been really useful information to you.
Look, I'll make this as clear as I can. Your post asked for people's preference between the phones. That would require someone having owned all three. The chances of finding someone who actually has owned all three of the variants you are inquiring about would be, as oinky stated, slim.
Get whichever one you want, they'll all perform fairly comparably. Just be aware that firmwares and kernels tend not to work between them, so stay within the forum for whichever device you get when looking for such things.

Hi,
This isnt a "" which is the best rom" question. I just asked if users have anything in mind regarding a clean touchwiz based rom. i ve seen some on my self but more experienced users may have an advice to give.
Thank you

We will let the mods decide .
But the essence is that you have not bothered to even read the roms descriptions .
Plus you ask a question in the wrong forum .

Yeah, these types of threads are not allowed. Yes, you are saying it's not a best rom thread but what you are asking is available in every rom's description. No offense but being too lazy to do the leg work yourself isn't going to make you win a popularity contest around here

Diagram of Order of Operations

Question: Does anyone know if there is a diagram of some sort showing "how customized Android works"?
Meaning: You have ROM's, CMOS of some sort I use called TWRP, the OS itself, etc.
Assume: There are tons of hard core computer people out there, many even Linux people....who just never really "got into phones" by choice, but always appreciated and followed them...and would like to understand how things work.

Its a question, therefore q&a
Development is for a release of some sort, not asking for stuff
Schematics or flow charts?
Do you also wants flow chart of kernel lineage?
Thanks for writing.
I'm just looking for something simple that a 5 year old could understand.
Like a Photoshop picture or something with like blocks that tell me what leads to what, and what does what... Assuming you're rooting your phone. Meaning...If I root my phone, I need to understand what the ROM does, what the CMOS (whatever it's called) does, which is most important to do first, etc. Flow-charty, yes. etc
But...anything you have is fine.
Thanks

In all seriousness, someone asked a similar question last week and basically what you're looking for is not available. Maybe a Linux/Android book may have something.
