I purchased a iPhone 5s clone from China a month ago. Out-of-the box i could make and receive calls, but i didn't get the mobile internet working.
Anyway, I tried rooting the device using MTK Droid Root & Tools, but the program told me it couldn't do it and linked me to this guide: hxxp://forum.china-iphone.ru/viewtopic.php?p=502084#p502084 (It's in russian, but Google Translate does a good job).
I followed the guide and successfully installed CWM and rooted, but when I booted up the phone I got nothing but "No service", and when I tried to register the phone on any mobile network it always said "Unable to connect to this network at this time".
Now this sounds like an IMEI issue to me, and stupid as I am, i didn't check the IMEI of the phone before I started the root process. If I now enter *#06# in the dialer, it displays what looks like a correct IMEI. Since it is a clone there is no physical IMEI on the device. There is one on the box and I tried changing to that but still got "No service". Again, since it's a clone, the one on the box might no be correct.
Is the problem I'm experiencing an IMEI issue, and if so, is there anything I can do?

ROM Bluebo B3000
I see you have flashed your rom. My B3000 stopped working suddenly and only shows and android screen.
Dutch telephone shop told me that a newly flashed rom would probably solve the problem.
However I cannot find a suitable rom (they did not have it to).
The phone comes in recovery and can install a zip, so that is what I'm looking for.
Can you tell me where I can find a suitable rom (or I have to return the phone to China).
regards Han

hi
need some help on my galaxy S4 :crying:
model: SAMSUNG-SGH-I337
android version: 4.2.2
1. why i got 0 (zero) on my IMEI ? (I can make and receive calls)
2. why my phone perform reset (No predefined times) - I think when is in effort - But not sure about it
3. How do I know the phone is not fake ? (I bought it two days ago)
thanks in advance
What carrier you on ?
Just guessing but if its gsm phone then its all maybe on your sim.
China is building phones can do both cdma and gsm at same time dual sim i think
That's probably the reason why they sold it.
They ruined it ur phone.
Solve:
Reinstall stock firmware through KIES.
let me know if it works.
(I had the same)
I think flashing modem files are pretty enough

You need efs pro if you had done a backup of several qualcomm radio modem earlier. Read more. http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...ol-updated-08-12-13-efs-professional-t1308546
Then you need QPST software, also it is from qualcomm. It is a diagnostic tool but you have to activate the com-port within your phone with some tricks or usean apk called phoneutils.apk.
If you search you'll find. Me to had corrupt imei when I tried som things inside my phone, for example I deleted the NV-build (the golden build) and thats I it happens. I tried to unlock it. In this forum XDA, it is not aloud to tell you how.
In short you have to be
rooted,
usb-debugging enabled,
installed free version of busybox.apk.
installed software on your pc (efs pro and qpst)
and phone-mode in usb-modem-diagnostic. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1626638&page=11
You probably have lte so it is qualcomm. But don't trust me, search by your self. Do you have the original backup or the original imei-number left in the box you bought?
I made a restore from my friends backup and putted back the imei when the com-port was connected, With Efs-Pro manager in the link I wrote.
Good luck!
Dont forget to thank me if I helped a little, I haven't checked if you have qualcomm (4g) or exynos chipset (SoC) systemOnChip
Hello everybody, some wweks ago i traded an iphone 5 for a samsung galaxy note 2, then i discovered that the phone is refurbished as on the back says a imei and model n7100 and in settings apper to be n7105 and a different imei. When i try to connect to internet, i always connect on edge, if i pick 2g only, it's Edge, 2g/3g/4g it's Edge, 3g only it's No service....What can I do? I flashed 3 different stock roms, i flashed cm 12.1 i tried anything, setting are right... Thanks in advance
I'm betting he changed the IMEI to a none 3g device or the face that the IMEI has been flagged. To be honest there is not much you can do short of sending it in to Samsung to be fixed.
Hello, i checked imei on a site and it says it is Model: GM203
Brand: G.M
and this brand doesn't exist...Can i rewrite the imei with nv tools? Or at a service can they repair it?

Well that could mean a few things. It could be a knock off device. Those normally have invalid IMEI (as in can't find a brand)
The only legal way is to send it to the oem. They will want to replace the main board which it would be cheaper to get a new phone.
Hallo xda note 3 sprint people.
I live in the UK and bought a phone here via ebay.
Initially the info within the phone on the about phone part of the system said N9005.
antutu checker said that I had N9005
I rooted the phone using towelroot, flashed twrp and flashed 4.4.2 x-note rom v18
This installed the phone info app and checking this saw that it had conflicting information.
Hardware revision n900p.12
Bootloader N900PVPUCNC5
PDA N9005XXUFNF4
(see attached pics)
Underneath the battery the phone says SM-N9005. (see attached pic)
It has the same imei as when I dial the code.
I put this imei into
http://www.samsungwarrantycheck.com/
and it said I have SM-N900PZKESPR
which again conflicts with what is said beneath the battery.
Considering the evidence, which phone do you think I have?
Is there any other way of confirming this.
I want to upgrade the phone but don't want to flash an incompatible bootloader.
Many thanks.
Same problem
Hi!
I live in Russia.
I have almost the same problem (e-Bay, fake model â„–...).
In addition, a few days ago, Wi-Fi stopped working.
When I try to turn on Wi-Fi it endlessly displays the status "Turning On ..."
Please let me know if you find a solution to your problem.
Go to download mode and see model there.. But i think your variant is n900p... I

I have same phone 9005 but modem version is N900P, your phone is sprint , you can verify it by restarting on downloading mode, you will see your real model
This phone come from china, its original but for sprint (USA). You can install only sprint Stock rom, and 4G LTE will not work, because sprint use Band 25, 26 and 41. Only 3G will work.
Becarful when installing stock rom, because its possible to lock your sim (i have same case and i unlock it by SSU.apk)
The goood solution is :
1- Install TWRP 2.8.7
2- backup your current rom
3- Install custom rom like this :

or

I used my galaxy mega 2 on AT&T's network for about 4 months without any problems until I decide to root it with either Kingoroot or Kingroot and since then i've been network blocked because it changed my IMEI. I want to change it back to what the sticker under the battery says but have had no luck. So far i've tried flashing it using odin and the z3samsung tool. It was 4.4.4 but now it's 5.1.1 KitKat because I can't try to downgrade because the "repair" firmware 4.4.4 always fails. The bad IMEI 350050500009692 i was told that this imei was a default when your imei gets erased by some mobile tool pro via email. I won't publish the good/true imei that's on the sticker. Baseband G750AUCU3B0H4 , Build number LMY47X. G750AUCU3BOH4. Also I get an error when using the z3tool to write NV data, it says "security damaged". Being the bright person I am I didn't back up anything prior to the first attempt but all I need is the IMEI restored everything else seems to work fine. I'm stumped and need help.
Thanks to all or anyone
