MPJ 8500 mAh Extended Battery - Galaxy Note 3 Accessories

The battery seems good and the reviews seem pretty positive. I was gonna get the 10k zerolemon battery but am thinking about getting this instead, will post a review if I get it... It's priced at $35 with free shipping. And if you want NFC, that is an extra $3.

Looks good! I think it might be hard to find a case. That's why I like ZeroLemon, the battery back doubles as a case with pretty decent protection and grip.

Mugen Power 3200mah Extended Battery

Saw a thread about this battery in the normal Galaxy S2 section, but not here.
I purchased this battery on ebay for about 85 bucks shipped. I haven't run any tests or even cycled the battery yet, but the results are definitely worth the money I paid.
I popped the battery in on Saturday, it was at 60%. I use blue tooth streaming music about an hour throughout the day, data on, face book and email syncing, etc. I got 2 days 20 hours before the phone hit 18% battery. I just fully charged today to 100%, made 3 15 minute phone calls, and some browsing. It took an hour and a half before the battery went down to 99%.
The Mugen Power back plate is actually pretty good too. The grooves give a really good grip. The kick stand is awesome as well, even though it does feel like cheap plastic. The added width to the phone makes it better to hold as well.
Best part, it's an NFC battery so no boot looping.
Only down side so far is there's definitely no case for this thing.
If you don't mind shelling out a few bucks to have your phone last a few days, GET THIS BATTERY! The added weight and size is really not that serious.
Man 85 bucks is a lot of money lol. I dont know if you can fuse 2 batteries like you could with the captivate but i would rather go that route as im sure you could.
there's a couple 3500mah batteries as well, and they are phenomenal! I've gotten 2 days of heavy use and over 8.5 hours of screen time. I agree with OP, worth buying. And I these are cheaper.

Yes I would also like a link.
I don't think Mugen makes a 3500 battery or a cheap battery if that's what your asking for a link for. I believe Slatestud is referring to the cheap Hyperion, GTMax, and other cheap Chinese batteries which seem to be performing well for the money. What Slatestud doesn't realize is that the OP is more or less against buying those batteries.

Yea. Extended batteries work great. Especially for the money. I love mine. Im getting about 2 days medium-heavy use, and 8-9 hours screen time with the GTmax. What about the Hyperion?
I got the GTMax 3500mAh battery for Christmas and while the tabs on the back suck (some broke off, the back needs to be squeezed on to the phone to work) the battery is absolutely amazing. Almost 2 days constant use without charging.
I did send bluemall an email about this and they replied with some horribly broken english response basically telling me to screw off when I asked for a new plastic back because mine was messed up. Here's a link to it but for $12, you cannot go wrong with this.

They all look enormous, the Mugen looks the least obtrusive but still I'm afraid I will hate turning my sleek GS2 into a humpback whale.. I wish I could see these 3200-3500mah batteries w/cases in person, I'd love to double my battery life but the photos of these extended batteries really turn me off
Here's a informative review of the Mugen on YouTube..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLLNFWehfl8&feature=youtube_gdata_player
Ive bought cheap batteries and ive bought the mugen. I wont buy cheap batteries again. You can easily get 4-5 days standby with minimal use, by the time you realise its been a few days since you charged your phone you still have 25% left, and it takes ages for this to go down, so I've never been stuck with a dead phone.
The added weight and bulk to phone is a bonus to me, in standard form the phone is too light and flimsy feeling, to me the extra weight feels better in the hand. Im actually selling my mugen (upgraded to S3), only 6 months of minimal use, still in great condition if anyone is interested.

5200mAh extended battery under $9 with shipping.

This looked like a good buy for me. 5200 extended battery for under $10! I used promo code SAVEMORE and got an extra discount plus its free shipping 3-5 days. I will post more when it comes in.

hate to be cynical, but a good percentage of the after market batteries are China made. Only the high end batteries are made from Japan. Even the OEM batteries are technically made in China. (even tho they like to write, "Designed in...." another country. Take Apple for example. or Samsung)
battery
The picture of the battery from the link you posted clearly says "made in china" I'd still like to know how you make out with this though. I think i have a defective battery from samsung because i don't seem to get nearly the time as everyone else seems to get on this site
Thanks so much for this link. However, I'm skeptical since it's so cheap. I'm gonna wait till some other order this and review it. I've always paid way too much for extended batteries from seidio for my former EVO phones and am tired of it. So I'm gonna watch this closely.
I have kept my GPS ,Bluetooth, data on all day. I watch over 2hrs worth of videos and been on the internet all day. I charged it for the first time last night and I want to drain it 100% today. 16hrs of extra heavy usage and I still have 11% of battery remaining.
Cons - cheep back cover very thin plastic.
Will update after a few days.

Just received mine today... the back plate doesn't quite fit correctly. The right side of the back plate doesn't clip in flush.
EDIT: after some aggressive pushing the the backplate it seems to have all clipped in. For less than $9, I can't complain on the fitment. Its pretty impressive. I'll report back in a few days after the battery has cycled to show results.

Ordered this also. For $10 shipped it's worth a shot. The tough to install back cover seems pretty common in these bargain extended batteries, but if it fits who cares. If it works as well as I hope it will, i will consider modding my Seido Active case. With the right application of heat and cutting, I may get something to work. Said it's shipping from their international warehouse whereas the other batteries I ordered for wifes tmo exhibit2 are shipping from stateside warehouse. Was hoping for fast delivery but that's out the window.
I will say this battery is pretty good so far. I'm at 17% battery and at around 5 hours screen on time. Full sync, all location setting on except GPS, etc. Not trying to save battery at all.
Does anyone notice the battery jumping up slightly? Sometimes it will go from 30% to 29%, then back up to 30-31%. Gonna ride it out till its completely dead and recharge.
Sucks that I have no case on it, so I ordered an aluminum bumper.

My phone was doing that on the first battery drain. After I wiped the battery bin I have not seen it again.
My last test was an 8 hr road trip with navigation on the entire trip. My battery level went down to 25% after 8 hrs of GPS full brightness and no charging.

I think I just got an awesome deal!

On ebay today I just won 2 OEM Batteries with a wall charger for my Note 3 for 15.99 with free shipping and also a black s-view look alike flip case for 6.99 with free shipping. It's from China though I probably won't see them for 20 days, but I'm happy!

Send those batteries back and save it for the Zero Lemon 10,000mah + Zero Shock case! Should only be around $40-50 if you don't mind the extra bulk. Or go with Anker 3200 (I can vouch for both quality products on ZL & Anker)

There's a very tiny chance of anything exploding. You'll just be very disappointed in how long the batteries last. The flip case also probably won't have the s-view functions unless it's a s-view enabled flip such as the Baseus flip case.
Plus you will likely lose NFC capability as it is part of the battery.
If it seems too good to be true it generally is, except for that free cruzer lite case on Amazon that one time-too awesome. guessing the true mah on those batteries are much lower than stock but let us know, maybe you got lucky. Hope it works out for you.

Extended battery cases

Heyo peeps
So here's the deal.
Battery life is pretty good, no question. But I finally got the itch to start hammering this phone for mega hours.
So first I got the Zero Lemon of course.
Battery is crazy awesome. No question. The case is... Almost acceptable. I love the overall design and protection. I hate the feel of the rubber outside, the screen protector (which I keep on for added Peace of mind and water resistance), and OMG the port covers.... So awful. The buttons are pretty terrible too.
And of course, the phone is insanely bulky and unmanageable now, but I knew that.
I LOVE my wife's otterbox defender on her stock note 3. The first thing I tried was to see if I could mod a defender to fit the zl battery. As I'm sure yall know, the answer is hell no.
So what I'm wondering is if there is some other REAL extended battery that might fit into some modded defender or similar case.
I've got one of those eBay "4500 mah" batteries that is the same size as stock. But since it weighs less than the stock battery, I'm certain the battery life is gonna suck. I'll be trying it this weekend for giggles. But Yea. When I sat REAL extended I mean one of those hyperion or anker 6400mah jobbies. Or the zl, natch.
So, any input? To recap, I'm looking for a battery that can fit a modded case that is good, preferably a otterbox defender, or similar. Or I'm looking for a GOOD case that is known to fit the zl, hyperion, anker, whatever.
Thanks!

7000mah battery for i717

Bought a slim MPJ 3200mAh battery for my S3 several months ago. A little improvement but basically on par with the stock, so I just paid nigh on 37 bucks for a I717 7000mAh battery+ TPU Gel extended battery cover. Gonna post result later.
Very interested, let me know. Good to see people still rocking the original Note, nothing on the market of new phones is impressive enough to warrant me spending money on them when this phone still has life enough to be my daily driver
Any updates?
