Hello,
I developed SuperBeam app which allows easy and fast file sharing between Android devices using WiFi direct. Devices can be paired using NFC or QR codes. Checkout the video below to see it in action:
Play Store link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.majedev.superbeam
Please refer to the original post on general forums for more details about the app: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2177133
Some users reported that QR code scanner is not working for Xperia P and Xperia U, and I'd appreciate if someone could test it and provide me with feedback.
Update:
Released version 2.1.1 with a workaround for Xperia P and U, by rotating screen automatically to landscape mode. Please test it and update me. Thanks.
Update 2:
As members reported, it seems to work better now. Although app icon and title is hidden, it functions pretty well and you can access options menu. This doesn't mean that I won't attempt to fix it, but rather leave it as-is until I get my hands on an Xperia U or P and solve it for good.
very good app and very fast
but in sony U i have a problem ,when i make a photo (qr code from tablet ) sony s monitor is black on half...
how can i fix the problem??
thanks

Thank you very much for reporting back. Actually you are not the first user who faces this issue, but I don't have an Xperia U to test on.
Could you please provide more details on the following:
- Are you running a custom ROM?
- What Android version is your device running?
- Could you please enable screen rotation, and try the QR scanner on landscape mode?
The app is very usefull but if we start in portrait mod it gives half-screen black but in landscape mod works like a charm
Running TerraRom V2
Android 4.0.4
If need any help just PM me!

Then it's either the ROM or Sony's kernel that is causing the issue. I'll make a workaround for Xperia U by forcing landscape mode on QR code scanner. Thanks for your feedback.
And is there a way to use this bettwen android and PC with XP?

Sharing with PC is already planned! It will be available through QR code scanning (if you have webcam) or by manually entering a code

Great
Great work!:thumbup:Really love it! Far better than any other WiFi transfer app...as said b4 by many others, the scanner is 3/4 black and the image can b seen only at the rightmost portion...but when I try to take a screen shot, the image is showin the scanner perfectly...in landscape,it looks better but the app name gets mis aligned...
Also, I have a request..please make the app toggle WiFi off automatically after receiving the file..I had mine on unnecessarily after using it to recieve files...

Thank you for reporting back.
The problem is that I can't get my hand on an Xperia P nor U. I've written a workaround by forcing landscape mode specifically for these models, and it should be uploaded today.
I'm looking into the other issue you mentioned, and will include it on today's update
I've uploaded a new version (2.1.1) with a workaround for Xperia P and U. It automatically switches to landscape mode on these devices. I'd appreciate if someone could test it and report back.

Yeah it's automatically switching to landscape mode on SXP. But I can't test sharing feature as I don't have another android device.

Now that's really weird :cyclops:!
How about when you press the options button, do you see list of options (use front camera, help, settings)?

yup. and those 3 options are working as it should.
Working fine, tested between XP, XS and XNEO.
Screenshot from XNEO with XP.
Thank you all for the feedback, it was really helpful.
As long as the problem is cosmetic now, I'll leave things as-is until I get my hand on an SXP or SXU and understand the root cause of the problem. I have some other cool features to work on
Happy SuperBeaming
New replay,
XS and XP freezing only restart helps, transferred files are broken, same on both devices.
Hello
I flashed Zperience™ V1 on my Xperia U, all running nice and smooth but, as reported in this reply:
here is what i have
if i choose pin lock the 0 ank the ok button are the 2/3 out of screen

Sure, I could post there, but since I'm not allowed to do so, I expect that maybe someone who uses this very same ROM knows or understands how to use stock lockscreen or something so that this doesn't happen.
Thank you.

it is a framework problem and you can fix it if you get a alternate framework. At present a fix is there but you will loose all the animations and the great texture
If you need lockscreen back and not the texture then flash Part B of the small apps addon
jatinrungta, thanks for the explanation. I will try that.
Besides that, I am very happy with your ROM, congratulations!
Nevertheless, just to be sure, you do acknowledge that that problem (keypad slightly out of the screen to dial the unlock PIN) does exist? Do you think in a near future you'll be able to fix that?
Thanks

Yes I agree with you that the problem exists and it is a framework problem as I already mentioned
I do not know the answer to your question as it is not my framework
Great that you liked it
Now if your work is done can you please request mods to close this thread
Hi
Did as you said (copied PartB.zip to internal storage and flashed it via CW), now I have rebooted a couple of times and used it, and, although stock "look and feel" has returned and my problem of PIN screen lock is gone (cool), I am seeing the message that appears on the screenshot attached to this post all the time. It causes the UI to restart itself, making the wallpaper go black and status bar to disappear temporarily.
Can you help me with it?
not too sure why this is happening but whenever I try to change the font in weather location it doesn't change,it shows the font name when selected but won't change the actual on screen font, anyone else had this issue ?

Have you tried reinstalling/clearing the data? We haven't picked up anything like that on our side. Maybe contact the support team at [email protected], as they might have a solution.
Sorted mine out ,I noticed that themer was reporting not saving to sd card, ended up reinstalling firmware now works fine, this is on the galaxy s2

I don't know if this is the place to ask but I have a problem, maybe someone knows something about this: the s6 sm-g925f edge that I have, had a option in the screen setting where the resolution of the screen could be changed and after a while that option disappeared. I tried a stock rom from smmobile for my country but the option is not back can anyone help me please
The option should be where the arrow is in the picture right ? https://forum.xda-developers.com/picture.php?albumid=14502&pictureid=56343
Please please help. Thank you.

Yes, like that, in my menu that option doesn't exist anymore.
Just as title states I'm missing an option in the settings, I had it on my previous Mate 20 Pro and my replacement doesn't have it. It was the option to turn the screen on when a notification comes in, I can search the settings and find it but selecting it takes me to some settings option without it. Screenshots attached to show.

Yes likely it is, so hopefully it gets fixed.
i noticed there is another missing option in settings, specifically the Appgallery assistant.
settings>apps>appgallery assistant.
somehow i realised some people have the option while some (me) don't have it, despite same firmware version.

So far still can't figured out why the app assistant is missing.

You're on a different version to me anyway, I'm on .122 (LYA-L09 model).
Weird, sorry I can't think what else to try other than a factory reset as last resort.
I also have this issue (missing option to turn the screen on for notifications) but I cannot find any place to change my lockscreen style to magazine. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?
