My new Otter Box - Commuter Series. I find it far better than Spigen case, the feeling holding it is awesome! Recommended, well protect and not over bulky.

It came with free screen protector but I never use it as I hate SP. Hehe.
I buy at Malaysia. I believe mine is genuine, If not I not sure what to said already.
The shop I went is listed under http://kwsdis.com/location.html and KWS is listed as Malaysia Authorised Distributor at Otter Box official site.

What does the back feel like? Is it slick? The last Otterbox Commuter case I had was slick as snot and I couldn't use the phone with one hand

It's "brushed" plastic with side grips.
If you put it on a kitchen counter, and try to operate the phone and swipe the keyboard, does the phone spin? If you put it on your pant leg, does it slide off easy?
That thing is slippery as heck. I took mine back after trying it on in the car. Good lip on it though for screen protection. I also like the cut out for the S Pen, very easy to get to. But this isn't the case for me.
I also think it's very slippery. I'm going to return mine and keep using my incipio dualpro. The otterbox is fantastically tough but it's too slippery for me

I always put my phone at desk camera face up, so no slippery for me.
It is nice hold in hand than Spigen Slim Armor, but yes it is much slippery if you put at desk camera face down.
this otterbox is looking really very nice....this is not available on amazon and ebay.....did you get it from the official web site..????
I got mine from a sprint store.

I buy at my Malaysia local store.
Got mine today...it is a little slick, but love the thing...hardly any addition of bulk at all. For me it is a keeper.

Thank you for sharing the pictures.
I have a more clear idea of how bulky the Commuter Case is.
Related
Bought it as best buy for 35 bucks. Kind of expensive but i really like it. It has very nice soft touch finish to it and it feels great in the hand. With the case on its only a tad bit thicker than the epic 4g. Kick stand props up nicely vertically and horizontally. Theres also a nice soft fuzzy material inside the case to prevent it from scraping against the phone, and it protects your camera lens when you set it down on its back. It doesn't get in the way with anything and it fits great in my slim fit jeans
$35 bucks at best buy. Kind of steep but i had my 50 dollar preorder giftcard so i just used that.
UPDATE: It stands perfectly in portrait as well!

Holy over sized pictures, damn.
edit... here ya go, not a bad looking case, I definitely wouldn't mind having a kickstand.
ahaha thanks! i just uploaded them to picasa before i saw your post lol
Looks like that case adds a lot of bulk to the phone :/
protects the camera? can't tell it kinda looks flush
This looks 3rd party? The official HTC case has the kickstand oriented so the charging port is on the top. With this case it doesn't look like you can kickstand it and charge it at the same time.
What brand is that? Is it best buys platinium series? I like how it goes together, in my experience that style(comes apart as top and bottom) is by far more durable.

Yep, that's a Platinum Series case. Most of their stuff is made by Seidio.
I plan to mozy on over to my Best Buy today and see if they'll sell me accessories.
I went and checked it out. I'm going to wait for Seidio though because I need the combo with the holster. The only holster option BB had is for the rugged case which is too big for me...

I just confirmed my concerns with Customer Service, This is their answer:
Thank you for contacting Seidioonline.com. The kickstand on our SURFACE case for the EVO 3D does not allow access to the charging port when it is in use. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at 832-204-1118.
thanks for the update - I was told this item was sold out and Sprint wouldn't be getting it until days after the release date of the EVO 3D - Best Buy, here I come tomorrow.
Yeah it's not bad except I need to access the charge port when in use. So, I'm taking mine back.. I do like the feel of it and the fact it does add a little more protection around the camera
bought this same case and was suprised to find out that the kickstand is plastic and not metal. just fyi
Here is another case I found during my search for unique, high-end cases for our phones. The company who makes it is AG Findings. They own Ballistic, so it's not some no-name company. It is a TPU case with a leather inlay on the back that adds some sturdiness and refinement to a standard TPU case. I actually ordered this case and it should be here Thursday. I'll post pictures when I get it.
Again everywhere I've looked says it fits I777...so we will see.

That's a fine looking case right there. I'm getting a SGSII today hopefully if they come in stock so I'll also be in the market for a case.
I use this case, it's holding up well. AT&T actually carries this one in the store, which is where I purchased it.

I see it for $16 on Amazon w free shipping. I already have a couple of other cases, including the Casemate pop stand (white) and Incipio Featherlight case. While I liked the Pop up stand, it's a bit bulkier than I'd like. Any idea how this one compared to the Casemate pop up case? I like the look, guess I'll do some more research before pulling the trigger on this one.

I think its about as slim as you can get while still having reasonable protection. Id say its definitely slimmer than the pop. Its a classic looking and understated case and feels great in the hand. I'll try and get some pics up tomorrow evening.
Any luck with taking some pictures?
Right! Sorry about that...here's the pics:
Nice! I dig that style.
I may have to pull the trigger on one.

Yeah it is nice. It fits pretty tight and feels good in the hand. The material is smooth to the touch and doesn't snag in pockets. I found it on Amazon for around $12 if I remember correctly. The hole at the top for the headphone jack may not work with some headsets. For example in my car my AUX cable has to be shoved into it with some force to get it plugged in, but once in it stays there. You could always use a hot nail to open the hole up a bit.
I'll probably bore it out with my Dremel
Got my case in today. So far, I'm really digging it. The buttons are a little tougher to press, but I'm getting used to it.
The case is a little tough to get on/off, at least at first. I do like that the case is VERY snug. The case has a good feel to it, although it could have a little more grip to go with the texture. It's also surprisingly light.
I also have a Case-mate Pop Case and an Incipio Feather Ultralight Case, so I decided to take pictures to compare all three.
The Incipio Feather case is by far the slimmest, next is the Magnate, then the Case-Mate case. I paid $25 for the Case-Mate, $21 for the Incipio, and $15 for the Magnate, although the Magnate said $35 on the box and arrived in the official AT&T store packaging.
While the Incipio case was the lightest, it also offered the least protection. I'd probably rate the Magnate case and Case-Mate the same as far as Protection goes. I couldn't be much happier with this case.
Has anyone tried the Trident Kraken cases? They're $15 on Amazon and I was considering giving it a try.

I would highly recommend the Otterbox Commuter case...
http://www.amazon.com/Otterbox-Comm...XKUS/ref=pd_sim_sbs_cps_6/181-3010289-8058026
You can find it cheaper on other sites. I put tried trident on my phone at a BB and wasn't happy with how the rubber was not tight, just like the Otterbox Defender case. But if you end up pulling the trigger, post a few pics as I possibly could have tried one that someone had returned.

Trident update
I've been using this case for about a week and a half overall impression is that it would definitely protect my phone if I dropped it. The Silicone sleeve fits a bit loose but once the outer case is on it's secure. The screen protector caught dust faster than any other one I've put on so I'm not using it. It bulks up the phone but that's the cost of the protection. It almost hides the Verizon tag on the front but would rather have all or none.

It's just a little thinner than the trident. But I hate to say the rubber has gotten extremely loose. So much, I can pull it almost off on the bottom. I will post some pictures when I get a chance.
Nick
The Kraken adds about 75% to the thickness and just a few mils around the edges.
I have had the otter box cummunter case for over a year. It did get loose around the bottom.
Otter box has a great warranty. If you go to there website, you can file a claims witch will include 2 pictures. They will send you a new replacement case.
The cummunter is a little thinner other there defender case. I'm currently trying out the defender. They sent me the wrong case and told me to keep it and re-sent the commuter case.
If you do get a otter box case and its getts loose but don't want to use there great warranty. Then you can just put the rubber part in hot to boiling water for about a minute. Followed up with ice cold water. It will tighten the rubber right up.
I haven't had a trident case. They look like about the same size or slightly bigger then the defender.
The Kraken is only $10 on Amazon now I picked up a second one with a black sleeve and a mount so I can toss it on my bike to replace by bike computer. Everything has held up well and it takes falls well....
I just received the Poetic Case and they have definitely made improvements over the last case that I owned from them (Nexus 7 2012 Model)
We are all familiar what Poetic Case's look like, not much different except for the Logo. The new logo is quite stylish.

Another great addition over the older model that I had is that they have magnets built into the front cover so you can fold it up and it latches together.
I absolutely love this case for it's minimal yet stylish design, Poetic has done it again. And yes, the cover does have the open to wake functionality. Also the magnets are strong enough that the cover won't flap around.

I bought 2 styles from the manufacture website and the Slimline arrived with that dead fish smell but I did not use it for about 3 days and now that smell is gone. The other one I got from them was the GraphGrip and I love that one more.
I have this exact case in FULL Leather
so the one I have looks EXACTLY the same however the only difference with mine is the entire case is leather, not plastic in the back, and it weighs 7.13grams. hope that helps. And i Love it as well, looks and feels great, not heavy at all, and definitely NO bad odors. lol

I bought the poetic slimline case also. After having the samsung case on my note 8 I didn't like the poetic case. It doesn't sit the tablet up well in landscape mode and it's also a bit bulky. Makes getting to the volume and power button a little bit of a pain too. So I bought a Samsung case for my tab pro. Much happier now

This case is great except that when you fold the cover back the sharp edge is a bit uncomfortable on your skin - I.e., its sharp. Also there is no stylus holder and a stylus comes in quite handy to keep the screen clean.
Hi guys,
one thing that annoys me is the rounded back of the nexus. When you lay it on the table it turns left and right when scrolling onehandedly....this is really nerveracking.
At the moment I use one of them TPU cases but this has the same rounding and thus the same turning.
Are there any (non-flip) covers that tackle this?
Cheers
check out the ringke fusion case. I love it and solved that issue for me
look at diztronic case, is not totally flat but helps to make N6 more stable
http://www.amazon.it/Diztronic-Matt...=1449071789&sr=8-1&keywords=diztronic+nexus+6
Cheers guys...but both cases are rounded too, how does it solve it?
The Poetic Revolution has a flat back. It has some pegs on the inside back wall that are holding the phone in place. Great case, except for the flat buttons but you can get used to those.
I had this one...
http://www.amazon.com/Evocel®-Prote...merchant-items&ie=UTF8&qid=1450211642&sr=1-31
Makes the phone flat, but pretty bulky, and no longer feels like a luxury item in this case.
Hi guys, thanks again for all those tips....
Got myself this one now :
Nillkin Slim Armor Bumper Rahmen-Schutzhülle, stoßfest, für Google Nexus, 6 https://www.amazon.de/dp/B00T2R9V7A/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_hnACwb693RZ0W
It is perfect, no rocking and turning, the phone lies firmly on those two bars running from the backsides' top to bottom.
Only downside is that you now can see the white back case which I bought accidently but kept.

The Ringke FUSION has a ring around the nexus logo that effectively stabilizes the phone. It is not perfectly stable, but ends up being fine for light usage of the phone when it's laying on a table. See this picture (found via google image search) for a better view of how it works.

Is that frame around the Nexus-Word indented? If so then yes, that should indeed work as well.
I'm sure someone could 3D print a case with enough incentive. I would pay decent money for a case that flattens the phone so I wouldn't have to give up my airdock

Indeed. If it had a matte soft touch feel (like the Nexus5), and if it filled in the curves without adding much height to the hump on the back, that'd be great. It'd be thin in the middle, thicker on the sides of the back where the curve goes up.
The problem with the Nillkin Slim Armor Bumper is that it does add some height above the back area. If it had half the height off the back, it'd still be a fine case. Sometimes I'm tempted to find a belt sander and smooth it down a bit on my own.
Evocel and Ranz on amazon are both flat backs
That Ranz case is the worst piece of crap I ever bought. I threw it away immediately after I got it.
