So I rooted my att Lg-e970, and things were running great. But then I deleted the google books, and google movies, and then I rebooted it. Now when it tries to reboot I get security error. I can get to the factory hard reset but it says secure booting error Cause: boot certification verify. I cant get it into fast boot, only download mode. I downloaded LG KDZ updater but I am unable to find a firmware file. I tried Original LG FIRMWARE, but it never works for my phone and IMEI. I have tried a few, and searched, and pretty much frustrated right now! lol
So any help would be great!
Thanks in advance!!!
You need to use lgnpst and restore your phone. That will get you back to normal. It's happened to some people in here so you aren't the first.

Here is firmware link. Go to teenybin thread in android development for links and guide for lgnpst. If you want to delete bloatware you must unlock bootloader, use freegee app from playstore.

What events lead up to your bootloop problem?
If you didn't unlock the bootloader you should be able to get LG or your carrier to flash for you.

To tell you the truth I kind of don't know because it was working fine the day before this happens and when the next day came I try to check the time but the phone was dead.....
Then i relized that 2 days before this happen i tried rooting it which i wasint really good at or even knew how to root it so i download a kdz file and im guessing that is what probably caused but what i dont understand is when i try recovering it using lg support and when it gets to the update mode it keeps on stopping at 50% saying there was a problem between the phone and pc I tried using another computer and it told me the same problem.
P.s. I took it to a phone store they said it could fixed for 60 and they even said it just need an new kdz

Maybe try a different .kdz from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2107971
Sometimes files fail to download the way they should - maybe you have a corrupted kdz file and a new one will work?
Edit: Or maybe try the official update, you have instructions here: http://www.lg.com/us/support-mobile/lg-LGP769BK
P.S. If I was you, I'd simply unlock bootloader, flash a recovery and format from recovery. Then, I'd flash a ROM.

Hello guys,
I am new to android and xda. Recently I got unlocked At&t Optimus G E970. I rooted the device and then froze all the At&t bloatware and also some google apps. After restarting the phone it is showing 'Security Error' on boot screen. So I was searching for a fix on it and found this,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2010624
I can get the phone in download mode but how to download the KDZ file? I am using the software in the above thread for downloading the KDZ but its not working. Please help!!

You need to use a program called LGNPST to recover. Go to this link and study the section in "additional info" about LGNPST. In your case the teenybin files would only be helpful if you wish to flash a custom ROM , but the same process can be used with files for stock firmware.

Link to stock JB.

Your welcome, let me know if you have any problems.
Also should mention that unlocking boot loader with FreeGee app will disable security check.
So I rooted my phone with a locked bootloader using this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2173465 and went ahead and installed CWM recovery, and then tried to flash this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2428306
After my phone rebooted, I keep on getting this LG Security Error and cannot boot into the phone. I've tried to use the fastboot method to try and flash a new kdz, however I keep on getting stuck at the waiting for device part.. would appreciate it if anyone could help me to just restore my phone to factory settings?

Sounds like you made a serious error and didn't do any research before proceeding. Did you install the LG drivers prior to doing anything with the phone? If not, you have just bricked your device. L9RecoveryInstaller.apk is the ONLY way at the moment to successfully install CWM on the P769 if the bootloader is locked. I don't have all the answers myself as I'm fairly new to this device, P769, myself. There may be someone here with a little more insight as to how to fix your issue, but if you didn't install LGs drivers beforehand, I'd say your device is bricked. Sorry.
You'll need to use fastboot to flash ICS u and x. Then go into upgrade mode by holding volume up and plugging the phone to the computer. Upgrade mode should pop up and you're ready to flash any kdz using the offline flash method.

L9 P769 is a much different creature than the other P76X variants. CWM CANNOT be installed on the recovery partition unless the bootloader is unlocked. There are very few people here who have managed to unlock the bootloader on this device ( P769 ). Any attempt to modify the bootloader, boot partition, or recovery ends in "LG Security Error". As per my previous post, the only way to get CWM on this device with a locked bootloader is with the L9RecoveryInstaller.apk.

Do you have busybox installed and or do you have multiple copies of busybox installed?
If you don't have busybox, install it from the Play Store. Make sure it installs to /system/xbin.
If you have multiple copies, which I did when I had this error, use the busybox installer to uninstall all copies of busybox and then use the installer to reinstall busybox to /system/xbin.
You may need to run L9RecoveryInstaller again. It will say there is a recovery installed just reinstall anyway.
Reboot and try again.

Cm11 is available, yes some people can unlock the bootloader. Theres a few threads about removing tmobile bloatware, along with solutions to the other questions I answered. Simply search your question and you'll find a solution. THEN if you can't find the solution by searching make a thread to ask about it. Goodluck if you try unlocking the bootloader, its quite a journey!! If you can't unlock it or the process scares you out of trying search Kuma ROM. Goodluck!

Hi, I'm in a similar boat as the OP, successfully rooted the device but didn't realise I needed an unlocked bootloader to flash a recovery. Now I get Security Error.
Now, I keep seeing "ICS x and u" on this forum, and have no idea what it is. Yet people keep saying it like it's obvious.
Is this it? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=44144663
If so, obviously I can't follow the steps because my phone won't boot up past the splash screen. And said phone isn't recognized by ADB at the moment, because I can only figure out how to boot it into S/W update mode.
Currently I can't even use the L9RecoveryInstaller.apk, because, again, can't boot up. Help?

You'll need to use fastboot to flash the x and u images. They are included with the tools. Search the General section.

I may be wrong but you're probably going to have to restore your previous EFS. A couple months ago, after using the flash tool, that happened to me but luckily I found a way to do it, but I completely forgot how.
