I rooted my phone with an app called KingRoot, and it worked, but then I switched to SuperSu and then tried to uninstall KIngroot. After that my phone turned off and got stuck in a boot loop. And now I'm having trouble trying to unbrick my LG G3 (Verizon) with the LG Flash Tool. I keep getting a "model information check fail" message. Someone please help

Follow the instructions in the following thread to downgrade. Then root, flash recovery and one of the 35b ROMs.

This firmware file takes you straight to JellBean on LGE970. There is no need to do the OTA if you flash this.

just wanted to add another confirmation that LGNPST'ing to the 11c in this thread does indeed let you get the JB update. it gave me the update option on the first try.

Exactly , the update popped up instantly when i booted the phone. Problem. you cant root!
Finally!!! After re-locking, un-rooting, and still getting errors, this worked. Thanks.
Okay, after going to 10o and nothing, plus getting a soft brick because I re-rooted, then LGNPSTing again to 11c, I still do not get an update! Now the phone says wait another 43hours to try again. What's going on? I am at home on WiFi and my AT&T Microcell.
So I am making an attempt to LGNPST to the linked firmware and it seems to be stuck at 2%? I have only used it once before and that was some time ago and it seemed to go much faster. It has been stuck for 13 min
EDIT I had a bad download got it to flash with the new download.
Could somebody post the md5 of the file from mega? *EDIT* nvm. I finally got mine working. If anybody else is interested, my md5 is 4d6bc49a7d4ab865c7bf55ea6fb4963a
:crying: back to 11c but not jb update:crying::crying::crying:
I have the program. The program does not recognize my phone. It shows up as unkown with no info filled in. I tried running the program as admin, regular and even tried to restart my computer and no luck. I installed LG drivers 3 times.I have the Bin file. I found the DLL for e970. I tried selecting the bin from lgnspt no luck. Only one shows up. I tried putting my phone in download mode and selecting the DLL from the file tab and the main one where you select your bin to and no luck, still just the original DLL shows up. I tried selecting the original DLL and the BIN I download and it tells me all of my phone data will be erased. So im like oh hell naw not just to get jelly bean on my phone and come to you guys for help. What should I do,this is some serious trail and error. BTW i have to now wait 130 hours before I can try again and I adjusted the clock multiple times which is why that has happened.
Argh. My 11c ota failed on Monday (I must have pocket-initiated it and I wasn't ready). Kind of annoying that it won't retry.
I still have the dlpkgfile from that update but I'm not sure if it's complete. And I'm not sure if this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1803090 will work with our phone either. Anyone have the dlpkgfile and can verify the size/md5 and/or the method to apply it?
Stupid questions that a lot of us are going to have: I am rooted but never unlocked the bootloader and would prefer not to at this point. If I LGNPST this file what is the effect on my phone? i.e. what gets reverted to stock and what stays as I had it? Will it un-root, and if so, can I use OTA rootkeeper to reapply root on 11c, or should I re-root the original way?
stuck on lg logo, these are the things i tried and the results i got so if you know where i went wrong please tell me asap thanks in advance,
first i tried hard reset which was volume up+home+power this would just turn on and off the phone,
second i got it to go on s/w upgrade mode which it work then i tried downloading kdz file on it using lg recovery and it would get stuck on 50%while it was updating.
i tried using those kdz files and they just keep crashing i tried it on different computers with different windows.
if you still need more info i could post up a video of the whole thing i just explained.
can it be fixed???????

To tell you the truth I kind of don't know because it was working fine the day before this happens and when the next day came I try to check the time but the phone was dead.....
Then i relized that 2 days before this happen i tried rooting it which i wasint really good at or even knew how to root it so i download a kdz file and im guessing that is what probably caused but what i dont understand is when i try recovering it using lg support and when it gets to the update mode it keeps on stopping at 50% saying there was a problem between the phone and pc I tried using another computer and it told me the same problem.
P.s. I took it to a phone store they said it could fixed for 60 and they even said it just need an new kdz

Maybe try a different .kdz from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2107971
Sometimes files fail to download the way they should - maybe you have a corrupted kdz file and a new one will work?
Edit: Or maybe try the official update, you have instructions here: http://www.lg.com/us/support-mobile/lg-LGP769BK
P.S. If I was you, I'd simply unlock bootloader, flash a recovery and format from recovery. Then, I'd flash a ROM.

So I rooted my att Lg-e970, and things were running great. But then I deleted the google books, and google movies, and then I rebooted it. Now when it tries to reboot I get security error. I can get to the factory hard reset but it says secure booting error Cause: boot certification verify. I cant get it into fast boot, only download mode. I downloaded LG KDZ updater but I am unable to find a firmware file. I tried Original LG FIRMWARE, but it never works for my phone and IMEI. I have tried a few, and searched, and pretty much frustrated right now! lol
So any help would be great!

3. Download and install LG Bridge for drivers. http://www.lg.com/us/support/product-help/CT10000026-1438110404543-preinstall-app
4. Turn off your phone, hold volume up button while plug your microusb cable, It will set your v10 to download mode.
5. Run lgup executive file, chose upgrade, in bin file select the kdz downloaded from step 1, then CLOSE lg up.
6. Reopen lgup again, chose refurbid, the kdz file still linked in bin
7. Press start and wait. When it finished, u're on stock MM v20e.

Nobody reads anything anymore. The thread that was linked literally has a pdf in it called "how to unroot"
When these unroot methods are applied, do they get rid of the "your device software cant be checked for corruption" prompt on bootup?
I think only relocking the bootloader removes that message.

I ask because I'd like to trade in this phone for the V20. I just don't want to embark on all this effort and still have a phone with "root evidence" making it un-tradeable.

flash the phone with root stock and then while in fastboot mode run the following command: fastboot oem lock
That will lock the bootloader and get rid of the annoying message.

But how can we edit build.prop? The device is in MM already and it can't be rooted.
Only root can access and modify the build.prop file.
Do you have a method to flash the verizon firmware to the refurbished device renamed as H900 AT&T device?
I tried to flash it with LGUP it says KDZ file is invalid. With LG Flash Tool I've also got an error.

Try oldest one as it will ignore all restrictions
i have not tried it myself but here is the method to edit build prop without root.
adb pull /system/build.prop <path to save file>
Now edit the file you just extracted and save it
Push it back to your phone via adb
adb push <path to your file> /system/build.prop
You're not done yet. You need to set permissions too
So open she'll via terminal
adb shell
Now from shell, set the right permissions
chmod 644 /system/build.prop
And you're done

Everything on this thread seems to be a bluff...
I could not find any evidence of anyone actually being successful flashing the VS990 rom on to an H900.
Until someone has a well-described process and proof of functionality, I don't think anyone here should believe what is being stated.
