I am having a problem getting with my MD5 number matching so I can't flash to anything. MD5#d41d8cd98f00b204e9800998ecf8427e Is what my phone shows as my MD5#. Which i was told meant a bad download that i flashed via Odin a long time ago. Build#JDQ39.I545VRUAMDK , Baseband I545VRUAME7, Kernel 3.4.0-562219
Problems stuck with a reqtangle in the middle of my screen that never goes away even in the app draw(as seen in screen shots). No apps to sd function as I am back on MDK. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks in advance for any and all help.

That worked for getting that annoying rectangle off. Thanks Awesome sauce.
you have fixed one of the problems wooo hooo. What is your take on the other? my MD5 being a bad #? Is doing a odin flash to back to factory MDK before root my only option? Thanks again Ryno77!!! I would thank you but i can only thank 8 people a day so I will hit the thanks button at 12 lol. Hopefully you got good news for my MD5 being jacked up. I don't even have apps to sd anymore. But I don't have a brick positive!!

Okay, I just installed hash DROID to see what you were doing. After starting the app select hash a file then navigate to where you saved the file on your Sdcard then select calculate hash. It will then run for a minute while it calculates.
My result:
3f87aa047261a8bb8b7a1c14f62590d4
edit: Doh!...I just read your post again and saw that you do have the correct md5 hash for my roms file.
Nothing to see here...Move along.

My MD5 is from straight off my phone on Andys ME7 Rom. It appears i had a bad download when i flashed it and now my MD5# is jacked up. i am on mdk build as shown in the pics with loki and don't have recovery at this point(and cant make one). So i was gonna Odin back to orig MDK image and reroot and make a recovery again. Hopefully my MD5# will match than and I can get some of Old&Slow's rom goodness. I downloaded the stock MDK image and I put in odin mode and and use pda on it to flash this correct? And Phone for Modems? Sorry used to HTC Learning Samsung. Just want to make sure I do this right. Does everyone prefer CWM for recovery? Thanks looking forward to getting this done Thanks to all of you my phone is atleast working
I got it back to stock MDK build and firmware. It didn't wipe any of my data. I tried running motochopper exploit next and it just keeps saying waiting for Device. I have all the stuff that needs to be checked in Development and security but still nothing. I Odin'd the previous Kernel 2 times to make sure and tried again. Still can't get past Motochopper. I checked to see if I still had root and it says no. But yet if you use check the md5# it gives you that same one I had before. Any ideas?

did you flash these roms in recovery or odin?
follow section 1 of my guide...refer to the last part on going back to stock from any rom with odin. you need to flash the pit file and stock rom together.

Tried that 2. Downloaded both versions of the factory rom. One that puts you back 100% stock and the one that keeps your bootloader unlocked. I followed the instructions with the pit file and extracted the roms with 7-zip but the Odin md5 check hash fails everytime.....

But you can also debloat a rooted rom however you wish.
Please debloat it Santod :]

Exactly ! Isn't that one major reason/benefit for rooting ? That is, so the user can remove "bloat" ?
Know what will happen ? You'll create a debloated version and some will complain that you removed "that program" or "this program" !!
Noob question - Debloated ICS
This might be a dumb question and if so, please forgive me. I learned to root and flash ROMs in December, I'm currently running Liquid ICS v1.5 MR3.But I don't know a thing about kernels and I'm wary of flashing radios. So my question is - is Santod (or any developer for that matter) working on a ROM for the official ICS that you can just flash (without messing with radios and kernels and other steps)? Is that what he/they mean when they say they are working on a "build". I'm "ok" flashing ROMs and I'd like to have the "official" ICS, but if it requires that level of technicality, I'll unroot and download the OTA.
Any info you could provide would be helpful.

Thanks! I saw that when he posted it, but based on the instructions (as I read them) you have to flash the radio THEN the ROM. Am I not understanding the instructions? That was my concern - bricking it while trying to flash the radio.

Flash the radio through bootloader.
Then the rom in recovery.

if you got as far as rooting and flashing a rom, then you can flash a radio. don't be afraid of it. it's no more difficult than flashing a rom, and much easier than actually rooting.
Thanks

There are multiple mirrors on the host server.
Did you try any of them?
Nobody else has been having any issues.
Not one report actually.
Try from a different browser and mirror.
Downloading via mobile rarely works and is not recommended.
I tried downloading it from my phone yesterday...no dice. I was able to download it on my computer and transfer it to the phone though.

Tried all different kinds of things. Couldn't do it on the laptop usign wi-fi. So then I used the actual phone and I was able to do it in about 15 minutes using 4G. Thanks!
One other question. If I flash your NuSense Unsense ROM (but don't change the radios) will I have the basic functionality of the "official" ICS? I love the lack of data drops but I HATE the "sense". Could I use an "old" ROM and a "new" radio for this stability?

Either place the md5 for the rom zip on the sd card, or remove the md5 sum check that the recovery is doing.
There should be a setting to disable the md5 sum check in Recovery.
MD5 sum is a digital signature that verifies that the file is complete or not.
Just disable the check for it and you can install without it.

Probably a stupid question but I don't know so.. Thanks in advance!

Yes you can flash ROMs and then you can flash the radio to update the baseband to the newest version.

Evening folks! Thanks to an anonymous source we present to the community... the NE5 Stock tarball!
Main improvement on this build: Wi-fi calling has been enabled.
This tarball is verified to be a full restore. (Thanks @CNexus!)
It means flashing this will result in a data wipe.
I'll try to get a nodata version put together by the weekend.
Download Location:
http://www.rwilco12.com/downloads.p... Galaxy S5 (Sprint) (SM-G900P)/Stock ROMs/NE5
Instructions:
Download Odin
Download the tarball and extract from 7z file.
Flash in PDA slot in Odin
Profit!
The file comes from an anonymous source but has been verified before posting.
One clicks may not be possible unless this can be flashed in an older version of Odin.
It could be it may just need the old trick of unpacking and repacking - again, hoping to have more time soon to address this.
Enjoy!
Gonna give it a try!
Worked for me. I flash with Odin, got a FAIL! message but the phone booted into NE5 without a problem.
@garwynn
Full restore...cache commands:
Code:
--update_package=CACHE:recovery/sec_csc.zip
--carry_out=csc_factory
--wipe_data

The tar wipes everything already so you would be good. I just got an S5 yesterday so I didn't have a lot of time to play with it to tell the differences. I do know that wifi calling is added. The only other issue I was having was with LTE. I could not get a reliable LTE signal at home. And I could only connect at work if I turned on Connection Optimizer. The first thing I tried was disabling that to see if I could get LTE at work and it connected immediately. I won't know if it improved anything at home until later on this afternoon.

Thank you. Yeah I swore I wasn't going to purchase the S5 mainly because of the lack of 32GB internal storage but also because I didn't feel like it was a big enough jump from the S4. But my daughter has been begging me for a new phone for months and I finally broke down  She was still running my old S2 and never asks for anything so I had to.

Anyone try mobile odin for this?

Everything went well on flashing (via Odin) NE5. However, I still have a software/baseband of ND2 and a build of NE5. Am I good with this or should I ensure that I need those two showing ND2 changed?

+1 same for me.. Was hoping this would update everything.. So is the only way update baseband to odin back to ND2 stock and wait for OTA update to NE5? Thanks!
EDIT: Decided to wipe data/reset in stock recovery and then ran this thru odin a 2nd time and now everything is showing NE5 this time.. Thanks guys!
