I didn't want to clutter up the dev thread, but does anyone use the Uber taxi hailing app on Houstonn's AOSP 4.4 ROM? It keeps FCing on me. I tried wiping cache, nothing. Uninstalled and reinstalled, nothing. It's likely that the app needs to be updated for 4.4, but I wanted to see if anyone else has it working. Thanks.
FWIW, Uber is working perfectly with houstonn's latest 4.4 PA build. As is everything else! Lovin it.

Hey everyone!
How's it going?
I recently flashed over the stable build for cyanogenmod 10.0 on my vibrant and that worked really well. I was shocked at how stable and smooth it was!
I saw that 10.1 was put out yesterday, so I flashed that but I'd been having some issues. The gapps zip didn't work all that well and I had to manually install some of the apps. No big deal.
However, I've been having issues with poweramp or apollo crashing out when I'm using the stock browser. I am, however, running juicedefender and autokiller to manage my RAM.
Any suggestions to free up some stuff? I'm really hoping to make this work because it works pretty awesome, but I can always drop down to 10.0 if it doesn't work out since I wasn't having any crashing issues.
In terms of flashing:
I flashed back to stock with ODIN, then installed CWM, then flashed 10.1, did a wipe, then installed gapps. Gapps didn't 'take', but I was able to take care of it through the play store.
Thanks for any help!
RTC.
I think back stock w Odin,in cwm reset data cache as normal ,but in advance format system,& fix permissions, install 10.1 & gapps again, maybe works,T959 have 390mb,custom roms JB have 180mb+80mb gapps+apps cache ect. Im install JB roms and free ram is 60mb-90mb eccept slimbean. Or try another jb kernel with custom features like semaphore, only issue is video camera not work in bigmem(406mb)
Good luck! Im on Trigger/overstock.

Yeah, I totally spaced out on the kernel. I just updated to the latest semaphore and am ready to go. Things are already MUCH faster.
I never really use the videocamera anyway, so it's not an issue.
Do you think Zram would help at all? Semaphore doesn't have any.
If I get a class 10 external sd card, is there any way to use some of that as ram? If we can do that, it'd breathe new life into the vibrant like WOAH.
Or is there any way to run some of the necessary apps on the external SD card instead of RAM?
Edit: Tried to OC to 110% and the phone started restarting so I disabled that. Now the phone shuts down when it sleeps and the power button doesn't wake it up. I have to pull the battery and restart it. Anyone know why?
Here's the semaphore kernel I flashed:Semaphore_JB_2.9.21v.zip

What is slimbean by the way? Different rom?
I noticed that there were semaphore kernels for -SV which I guess were for the slim roms?
I have been using the Uber Kernel on the ReVolt ROM and it is fantastic. The only problem I have with ReVolt is my MMS doesn't work even after changing my APN's. I use the latest Padawan as my daily but would love the features found in Uber. With Uber being a CM based kerenl, am I correct in assuming that it will not work on a TW ROM?
you are correct it will not work.

Try carbon rom w/ uber and trickster mod and the settings in my sig. This rom cannot be stopped, blazing from day one, no RR's or FC's. Padawan 4.1.2 was my DD until I found this. Take it for a spin and see how you like it.
is there a way of intalling the halo thing that the PA ROM have? i am using CM10.2, i once tryed the PA ROM but i didnt liked it, so i was thinking if there was a way of moving halo to this rom or if anyone knows if it would work if i move it

Have you try PAC rom? Your PA mean Paranoid Android, right? It's source is based on CM so it has most CM features, include some feature from AOKP & PA. And if you don't like PAC UI you can adjust it in PA Preference. I don't see any difference between CM10.2 and PAC but additional features (and may be some bugs, but I haven't got one yet)
Use a xposed module known as xfloating app or something like that it works well

I have KK with the latest JBX hybrid kernel running smoothly, I just can't find any inverted gapps. I searched and searched, but only ends with regular 4.4.1 or 4.4.2, "core" and normal packages. I have the package with the OP of Gummy ROM installed, but I can't stand all the white! Lol thanks.
P.S. if no one has made these yet, please let me know!

Hey guys,
I'm running CM11 on my Verizon XT912 right now and there are a few issues. First of all, there's this big problem with the APNs that I'm seeing a lot of people having problems with, and I'm one of them. I can't send or receive MMS. Also, the WiFi reception is exceptionally weak.
This is the third rom I've tried in the past few days. First tried AOKP, then CM10, then CM11 - all of them were very cool, but gave me critical issues.
I need advice as to which rom I can install that isn't experimental, but fully functional. I don't require much, I don't have to be running the latest and greatest. It doesn't have to be a KitKat rom, it doesn't even have to be a JB rom, it can even be an ICS rom. These are my only two needs:
A. Everything works correctly without needing corrections / adjustments / editing config files, etc.
B. The rom needs to support the theme engine and accept CM type themes.
Thanks everyone
