I was in the middle of this http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2301259
as i was flashing the file in ODIN 3.07 it said "FAIL" and then it was stuck downloading and then became stuck in Emergency mode... It boots into emergency mode no matter what i do... even after pulling the battery, holding VOL+ or VOL- +power and home button... what do i do now???
The only thing that was on the phone before trying to do that wipe was safestrap...

What rom and build number were you on before you odin? Google Pit file of Verizon galaxy s4 or you can use Verizon galaxy note 2 pit file either one of them will work on it and then just odin PIT only, it should restore your phone to whatever it was on. Try that first and let me know.

I was not using a rom, but I had SuperSU and used unroot within that program. The only thing left on the phone was/is safestrap. My build before oding was MI1.
I will google for those put files and let you know how it goes.

I think if you install safestrap apk and then click on safestrap icon to uninstall. I don't use safestrap but it should be a way to uninstall otherwise if you want to get back to stock, you need to download stock tar and odin it.

[Q] Help With Phone Recovery

So the other day i rooted my Samsung Galaxy S2 SGH-I777 and i ended up not liking it. So today I tried to remove the root by a factory reset using the settings option. While in the process it froze, so I removed the battery(BIG Mistake). It wouldn't turn on so I tried recovering via samsung kies which ended up not recovering due to "unexpected errors". Ok, then i tried Odin with a stock version of ics for my model, itjust keeps saying failed. At this point i'm frustrated and don't know what to do. All i'm trying to do is to get back to ICS 4.0.4 with NO root. Can somebody please help me? Any help is very much appreciated.

Root won't be removed by factory reseting. At this point you have or you are very close to bricking your phone. STOP, and answer these:
Can you get to the download mode?
Can you get Odin to recognize your phone in download mode?(does the COM port number light up in Odin?)
Do NOT have the repartition option checked in odin.
Use Odin 1.85 or 1.87 and leave all the options on default and loadup your Stock ROM in PDA section to get a clean flash and don't disconnect while flashing (big no no)
After Odin reboots your phone, disconnect the cable and pull the battery. Put it back in and do a full wipe/reset, and let it boot
If Odin fails to flash STOP messing with it, your next move should be to try the "[Heimdall][Odin][Stock][Root]UCKH7/KK6 Return/Unbrick to Stock (or Root)" by Entropy512.
Cheers and good luck, It happens to the best of us (learning is fun, and try to get something out of it too)

why does your Odin say epic 4g? try this odin ... attached. And check update bootloader.
Your stock ROM file is .tar stock right? you might have to download it again if this fails it might be a bad tar file.

Samsung galaxy S4 sch-I545 stuck in Download mode?

After installing TWRP restore via Goomanager (on the play store) I pressed reboot to restore. the phone rebooted to to download mode. I Pulled the battery for 40+ seconds, and pressed the power button, but whatever I do, the phone keeps booting into download mode.
Is it possible to factory reset my phone via Odin?
Phone:
Samsung galaxy S4 sch-I545
Thanks,
Bill The android
Yeah you can do that but dont try installing a recovery again. Im betting youre on me7, and currently its only rootable. No recovery.
When you said factory reset I thought you meant restore. But no, you cant reset via odin. You can turn your phone off and then use the key combo to boot into odin. Itll ask to confirm or deny booting and if you deny your phone will boot normally. Everytime you restart yoll have to do this so eventually youll have to restore through odin.

Did you try booting into recovery? If you get into recovery try rebooting back to system. Hopefully the phone will boot up normally. You could also do a factory reset if you do get into recovery.
I am having a similar issue -- I am stuck in download mode after attempting TWRP installation. Odin is not responding to my phone once plugged in (only says "connecting"). I am unable to enter recovery mode and am not sure what I should try next. Any suggestions?

You cant enter recovery because you overwrote the stock one and youre unable to flash/use a custom one because me7 blocked it. There might be a stock recovery posted on the forums but i havent seen one yet. I would try a different usb port, if youre using a pc a few people have had trouble with the front ports. If youre on win 7 try granting admin rights. Try a different pc. Try a different cable are some solutions.

I see -- I meant Kies was not connecting to the phone in my previous post (not odin). If I am unable to get it to respond, is the best way to restore to a stock phone using Odin?

I have never used kies so cant really say anything about that. But ya odin is best way to restore a phone to stock in my opinion. Like I said There might be an me7 stock recovery posted and that should fix your problem.

If you upgraded to MJ7 that link will not help you. You need to Odin a MJ7 stock. I had to do it last night problem is you will lose root. You cant flash back to anything yet if you were on MJ7.

get out of downloading loop
I have read all the different ways to get out of a downloading loop with ME7 and none of them worked for me. however, i did find another way that did work.
if your phone boots to downloading every time you boot. I came up with this method. I can only attest that it worked for me.
1. At the downloading screen, plug your phone into your computer
2. Run Odin (I used Odin3 v3.09)
3. Uncheck auto reboot and F. Reset Time
4. Select PIT and load a .pit fil ( I used a file called "SCH-I545.pit" that I downloaded from these forums)
5. Click Start
It will fail and your Message box will look like this
<ID:0/005> Added!!
<ID:0/005> Odin v.3 engine (ID:5)..
<ID:0/005> File analysis..
<ID:0/005> SetupConnection..
<ID:0/005> Initialzation..
<ID:0/005> Set PIT file..
<ID:0/005> DO NOT TURN OFF TARGET!!
<ID:0/005> FAIL!
<ID:0/005>
<ID:0/005> Re-Partition operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
<ID:0/005> Removed!!
6. Now uplug your phone from the computer and reboot.
The only explanation I can come up with is that the partition file info gets corrupted or lost and doing this either rewrites the partition info file or tells the system where to look for it. I could be wrong but it is the only thing that works for me.
good luck!
THANX!!
FIXED!!! thank you, i registered here just to say thanks for posting this. Ive been looking for hrs. and this was all I had to do the whole time. great solution for being stuck on the downloading screen with errors....thank you!!! I thought I ruined my new phone! =D lol:good:

tried to boot into download mode and reflash stock firmware via Odin?
another option would be, go into recovery (as far as you got CWM) and flash a rom over there.
Or read the Emergency Firmware Recovery thread .
Good evening,
I'm currently using a Samsung Galaxy S3 GT I9300 and my phone is stuck at the "Samsung Galaxy S3" logo and won't get into the lockscreen page of the phone. My custom binary downloads shows 6 times and I can't find a way to reset it without using TraingleAway. Help me?
Read and follow the guides, don't resurrect random threads that have no relation.

Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 Won't Boot. It Stuck at the Samsung SGS I9300 Logo
Hello All,
How are you all? I hate to do this to you all and i apologize profusely if it is a waste of your time. I have tried everything that i can think of but no joy so far.
I was on Android 4.3 when the phone went ape. It just happened out of the blue.
I can't do a factory reset through recovery mode. Also, i can't recover the firmware using Odin either. It failed every time with a write won't start error. I also tried to wipe the cache through recovery mode but it also failed.
I went through the threads looking for more info but getting frustrated with no fruitful outcome.
I tried a full firmware recovery using the below using Odin 3.04
Firmware downloaded from Sammobile.com
Model: GT-I9300
Model name: GALAXY S III
Country: Ireland (Meteor)
PDA: I9300XXUGNA5
Also tried the same (Full firmware recovery) through XDA but missing the PIT file from package.
Does anybody know how to fix this once and for all?
I can't do it through recovery mode as nothing works in there. My only option would be the download mode using Odin
I need all files (PIT, PDA, PHONE and CSC)
Does anybody have a link for a working full package that i can download for Ireland (Meteor, eMobile)
I would be much obliged to you all and thank you so much for your time and patience in advance.
Have you tried on samfirmware.com? It is fairly easy...

Downloaded to my S4 and it worked. Now i got the PIT file but still no joy flashing it. Followed the instruction to the tea but no luck. I don't know what else i can try.
Would it matter what version was i on before? I had 4.3 but i am trying to flash 4.1! I guess it wouldn't matter because the phone won't even boot up.

Guys
Has anybody got an error on Odin (3.4) saying re-partition operation failed when trying to recover the firmware to factory settings?
I tried using 4.3 and 4.1.2 but none works and got the same error message both times.

2. Odin KERNEL MODEM 6.0.1
3. Screen shot of phone info settings after I Odin Sboot and Kernel
3. Flash N9150BPE1-Binh24ROM.zip
Took 15 minutes on the LTE Sprint boot screen.
Took 3 to 5 minutes on the Preparing phone set up screen
Was not able to connect to Wi-Fi, and no phone signal, and Screen shot of phone settings after phone set up.
One thing i forgot to mention is that after all its set up i get a pop op aboit sd card being corrupt and to tap it to fix it/format it.
Do you want me to flash or Odin something before I put my back up, as my phone it only good for not being a phone right now?
Update. Now running my back up as i was not able to get a respond and i needed my phone. Thanks, will keep reading this tread to see what happens. Off to work now.
