Hi all,
I am using Android 4.3 and I have an issue with my phone in "Vibration" mode. All the notifications are loong vibration and I can not change it unless the applications allows it explicitly (i.e. Whatsapp)
The problem is that in "vibration" mode, each gmail mail or hangout conversation makes my phone a long vibration which I would like to be the normal 2 short buzz.
Do you know if I can change it? Am I the only one with this issue?
Thanks!!!

Hello,
Actually I have changed from Basic call -> Heartbeat but it just affect the vibration pattern of a received call. The notification is still long.
Thanks

The only way I can do it is to turn off notifications completely from messenger. I need audio notification but not the screen turning on.
In addition is there a way to give individuals different SMS notifications?

You're going to have to use a different SMS app for both of those issues I'm afraid.

There's already 2 of these threads. Do we need another?
Hi,
I've recently bought a MKT6577 Galaxy 3 clone - HDC S9380.
The phone is running on Jelly Bean 4.1.1
Whenever I'm making an outgoing call there is a call connected vibration when the call is picked up by the other side, the feature is nice, but the problem is that the person I'm calling is able to hear this vibration in their phone. Is there a way to disable this vibration, or delay the microphone initiation?
I already tried changing all the sound and vibration settings in the phone without any success.
Thanks for help
any ideas?

Have you gone to Phone app->Menu->Settings and looked there? There should be an option. I have it on CyanogenMod, I don't know if it's there in stock ICS or not.

Checked the settings already, there is nothing regarding vibrate on call connect
Moonguy75 - there is no way to contact the developer of the rom, it's a "stock" rom on Chinese phone
Is it possible to somehow modify the phone.apk, to disable this vibration?
Regards
I like to set my phone to vibrate so incoming calls will vibrate, but then like to configure so that incoming emails and texts do not vibrate. My gmail does this correctly but any text app I use (currently hello sms) will vibrate even though I uncheck the box for that in settings. I'm using a Nexus 5 and 4.4.2 based rom. Is there a fix for this? Thanks
Bump, any tips?

You have to make sure your phone vibrates or makes a sound when you get whatsapp messages. If your phone doesn't make a sound or vibrates, your watch won't either.
Try: settings, notification, message, vibration and select short or long instead of default in whatsapp settings.
Did the trick for me.

Awesome, thank you!:good:
Hi, I'm using the Alliance Rom, and since a couple of days ago, whenever I recieve a call, it automatically hangs it up after one ring. This morning, I saw on the notifcation bar when my mom called me, that the call was blocked. It looked like this:
Mom
Blocked (2)
Meaning that she called me 2 times. I already checked the call settings, and the only number that is blocked is some annoying number, and I have my call rejection settings (the auto reject mode) to "Auto reject numbers" and it's not set to "All incoming calls". So I don't know if that's why it's blocking the calls, but I always had it set to that.
As for the text messages, whenever I get a text, the screen doesn't turn on, or it doesn't vibrate at all (even though I have the vibrate feature turned on).
What do I do?
This may be a dumb question, but you don't accidentally have Blocking Mode enabled do you? Happened to me one time.

It definately wasn't a dumb question lol. Thanks to you, I fixed my problem for some reason blocking mode was turned on. You saved me a bunch of work, haha. I was about to restore everything back to it's previous settings and that would of been a hassle. Thanks again man :good:
