Benchmark Scores (DEVS)

hope its not too much to ask but
it would be easier on some of the newer people if you guys could also upload the benchmark scores such as linpack and softweg (if not neocore) when releasing a newer version of your ROM
i think it would help your downloads a lot
what do you think? unless these dont neccessarily show us how snappy the Roms are?

[Q] Quadrant score question

Im going to apologize in advance for my newbness. But what exactly is a quadrant score, and why is it important to be high? I see posts where after the root and lag fix it goes up. What are the perks to a high score? Thanks.
Its a application that benchmarks all sectors of your phone.
Higher numbers don't actually reflect on your performance (since there are more factors involved), it's kind of a bragging rights thing. Some people argue that the lagfix doesn't do anything for them, some slower, some faster.. overall, its just placebo and results vary.
So high score doesnt mean better performance? So why all the hoopla then?
Noticed how I said "bragging rights?"
Edit: Read this article, it'll help explain things better than I can.

Thanks for the info and link!!

in your opinion what is the best benchmark app

so maybe this is a newbie question but I was wondering what everyone uses as a benchmark or if the modding community as a whole finds benchmarking archaic or silly. I downloaded cf-bench and passmark performance last night, any feedback on these two benchmarks, or recommendations on new ones, or even reasonable condemnation of benchmarking in general is welcome.

Benchmarks take the human factor out of the equation, and what we really want is a snappy response and smooth transitions (the human experience)... neither of which can be benchmarked.
I'm partial to Quadrant Standard myself.
I love the aesthetics of Quadrant more than most others but like the functionality of AnTuTu. I know the results really don't translate to everyday performance all the time with these apps but find myself using them nonetheless. Again, the cool graphics is probably why
All benchmarks are different, and none are completely indicative of real world performance

antutu score only 5000...why? - in thr right section this time!

so i posted my issue in the SII forums by accident!
I ran Antutu cause my keyboard was lagging.. I know people say don't trust benchmarks too much...
but i get a benchmark of 5212 on my S3.. i've seen like 10000K!! and that scores puts me BELOW the Optiums 2x..
i did a factory reset and the score did go to 6435.. but still lower then what i see on the interwebs..
anyone have this issue of low benchmarks?
that happen to me too when i did my benchmark with antutu...

OnePlus Two AnTuTu Benchmark Results

Hey guys, this is my first time posting on this forum and i wanted to start of by saying this forum has helped me improve my phone a tone.
I just wanted to know if anyone else was able to get the same result as me on the benchmark without overclocking. I achieved this benchmark with an under-clocked CPU and i am currently using the Boeffla Kernel.
My AnTuTu score was 85578 putting me 3rd on the rankings.
If have had greater results or would like me to help you get to my results, be sure to ask me via email [email protected]
Thanks
