Best video Player for Low Quality/Resolution Movies - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi.
My Tablet "Lenovo Yoga 10" screen 1280x800
I watch a lot of Manga/Animi and they are low quality/resolution and look very blocky when playing at fullscreen, I have tried MX Player Pro and Dice Player.
Is there any Video Players that smooth the image or upscale or enhance the video during playback.
Thanks
John.

Did you try Rock Player and/or VLC?

Cant we play 1080p video songs in razr?

not able to play 1080p videos smoothly by default player. i tried playing 1080p mkv .im getting video without audio??? any players to play 1080p? i think we can use dice player .Other than dice player???
Suggest me guyz
Thanks,
I'd like to know this too.. im aiming on getting a RZR and want to know what player plays .mkv files the best.. well 720+ videos atleast.. i tried on my TB and just stutters and plays like crap..
i had no problems playing 1080 mp4 music video in the stock player. the video's been downloaded from youtube. however.. there seems to be a problem with mkv audio so if you want to play mkv videos, use MX Video Player. it works just fine and it's free... it's one of the most popular video players on android and it has great performance. if you want to play avi files, you have to switch video to SW mode tho.
Using MX video player this phone is capable of nearly everything. The only thing swedroid had problems with was the bird scene from planet earth in 1080p high profile and ac3 sound.

mx player is a good choice
Hi!
The Best : MX Video Player !!! - is the first video player that performs multi-core decoding !!!. for dual core - performance improvement = 70% than single-core .......what you want more ???
these app store freeware video players are all heavily infested with spyware especially MX i would use VLC as its clean
Mx is good, but
For ac3 audio mx player is an answer on the phone. I usually watc movies on my full hd tv and videos with 624x352 reulution became choppy, They're smooth in mobo and bs player, but they can't use sw for audio and hw for video. In a forum on moto's website that they're working on the ac3 audio codec. That was on 9 november, last year.

HD video playback?

I've always experienced stuttering HD video playback on all my devices. I've used dice player and Mx player. The hardware and software acceleration used with my gnex, never could I get HD video to play stutter free. Hoping for some better results with the GS3.

I've have watched a few 720p videos in the stock video player stutter-free. I even tried the pip feature, and the phone wasn't lagging when changing homescreens while the video was playing in a floating window on top. I have also streamed some hd movies in the plex app without any stuttering.
Playing 720p stutter free works on my 2 year old vibrant too. I guess you should check 1080p high profile videos with high bitrate video and audio. Also i wonder how sg3 handles multi channel audio formats like AAC, AC3, DTS etc
Sadly Snapdragon GS3 , doesn't handle HD videos to well , worse then my GS2 , specifically 60fps HD videos , it skips and stutters horribly ,my old International GS2 plays them smoothly. Kinda bumped about it , im guessing Samsung SOC has beefier hardware decoder.
But, if all your 720,1080p videos are only 23~30 fps you will be fine.
When I get it I'll mess around with encoding some videos to play well with it. If anyone finds a sweet spot with encoding videos with handbrake post some details please. Thanks.

How do you add videos to your Galaxy Player and watch it?

So I have some videos I want to save onto my Galaxy Player 5.0. When I play it, its super laggy. running at about 4 frames per second. What video resolution of the highest quality, and be able to watch smoothly?
The resolution of the display itself is 800x480, so I would personally downsize any 720p or 1080p movies to 480p/800px width to save space while practically preserving quality.
Though I'm no expert, I would recommend trying a different video player as I assume you're using the stock player. It might not help since the stock is hardware accelerated to my knowledge, but I've had framerate issues with video players that software decode certain videos, and worse when it's high-resolution. Dice Player is a great free app that has a good menu UI and versatile hardware decoding support and has given me smooth playback on all of my videos, even with HD, on my 4.2.

[Q] 4k Video Player?

Sorry if this ends up as off-topic, but I'm trying to find a good video player that supports 4k playback. I've recorded quite several 4k videos on my s5 of beach scenery. I have a windows 8.1 laptop. VLC is choppy as f*ck. Windows media player plays the video super slow and lets the audio get out of sync. The Video app can't even start it. So just asking what video playing software can i get that supports the 4k resolution vids?
Powerdvd and windvd for PC play any vidro and 4k too.
I dont no for andtoid

If vlc is choppy your laptop GPU might not be strong enough. Laptop GPUs are known for their power

Video player suggestions?

I've tried MX and vlc. Are there better ones or are these the best options?
MX Pro is what I use.
It's pretty much perfect IMO.
I use BS Player for mkv. It plays pretty much everything I throw at it
I've been using MX player for the longest time now.
Mobo player is the best I've seen.

I've been using archos video player. Plays pretty much everything and supports DTS-MA and True HD if your mkv's are encoded as such. Great UI and can pickup my network shares from xbmc.
I've used MX Pro for several years now on several Android devices. It plays everything in my huge digital film/personal video collection without any hiccups or crashes. Subtitles? No problem.
