No way u can recover to your older state if u don't have a nandroid mate. .
U should have opted for a nandroid.
1 solution....
Download the stock Rom zip file for ur phone.. (if it's available in xda)
I guess you have either Cwm or twrp recovery...
Pull the battery out...
Take out the memory card...
Put it in a card reader and from ur pc transfer ur stock rom(provided u find d it and download it... Or better download a custom Rom for ur ph from xda if it's available) zip file into ur mem card.
Put it back in the phone.
Put in the battery.
Boot into recovery(probably volume up and power key pressed together... Not sure for ur ph... Google it)
Flash the zip from sd card.
This is an alternative to going to the service centre.
But sorry mate o way to get the data back, except what was in ur mem car
You dont have to install any rom if you want to stay stock, just get in recovery mode and press wipe data/factory reset.your phone will lose all settings, apps and files except what you have in memory card,it will be just like when you bought your phone.

From what I found out there is no custom rom for your phone in xda. There is one for star mobile astra.
One thing... Rar file won't work...weren't there any procedures written in the forum from where you took it?
If not.. U can try changing the extension to .zip manually..
Then put it into ur so card and flash it through recovery

If it is a rom for your phone and the extension is rar then extract it, download 7zip and rezip it with that. If it is not the right rom for you're device then you will need the stock rom. Factory reset would work if you had the correct rom. I'm afraid that it is the wrong rom.

Flash the zip through recovery... I guess you have either Cwm or twrp.
At first take out your mem card, put it in card reader or any other ph.
Connect it to pc.. Copy the rom zip file to mem card..
Pit it back in ur ph... Start recovery... Choose install zip from sd card.. Choose the zip... Install it

You cannot root without custom recovery (clockworkmod or twrp)

Hey guys, I'm basically screwed right now. I deleted many major applications from the /system/apps drawer. I am running Mac 10.5 on my laptop currently and I want to know how do I flash a working ClockworkMod.
I know, there are plenty of threads about this, but none gave me a REAL answer.
I'm on a Mac, So I can't ODIN in. It needs to be done on 2.2 Froyo.
Everytime I instal a CWM, It boots into Android Recovery and When I hit "reinstall packages", It doesnt do anything.
Please, tell me how to flash a working cwm recovery so I can flash another ROM stable for my Vibrant.
Try not to send me links, because I've seen them all. but If you think that link is the one, please show me.
Thanks In advace guys.

ok so you can just download the cwm recovery and put it on your sd card and power your phone off then hold volume down and power it should flash the file itself if you cant get to the phone at all other then bootloader try mounting your sd card with another phone or with a micro sd adapter moving the file to the sd and doing what i told you before. that should help..
u might fail signature verification just doing update.zip
i think it should go like :
install odin in windows
flash 2.1
install clockwork
flash whatever u want
cant you use the rom manager from the market to install any fooxx.zip?

If you can still go in CWM recovery mode: Turn off the phone, remove the battery and external sd card and place a cwm flashable rom on it. Put back the battery and sd card and boot in recovery and flash the rom. If you can`t get in CWM, use a jig to get in downloadmode and flash a stock rom with Odin.

Did you use Rom Manager to boot to recovery? I don't know if it's the same on i9100 but the i777 has issues with Rom Manger, with the recovery part of the kernel. I know CM comes with, I haven't researched it but maybe something to look into...... It kinda sounds like you formatted the ROM. GL

can u suggest any possible fix for this??
Flash siyah kernel via odin and that should give you a fresh copy of clock work recovery if its corrupt?
Rom manager is nothing but trouble. It done the same thing to my x10i and my sg2.
It took several hours to get them back to running cwm(so I could restore my nand backups).
I think I used doom lords easy rooting kit for one and Odin for the other.
I've done a lot of stuff on several phones and I can state that after using RM it left the phones as close to full brick as you can get........lol

Yup, there's your problem. Rom Manager flashes incompatible kernel.
Simply boot into download mode and flash Siyah kernel and you will be back up and running.
Sorry mate it dint work... I flashed siyah kernel and now the phone doesnt proceed further from Siyah kernel logo...
can any one provide me way to flash a rom using odin...
i can use CWM... not even with the hard key combination...
only way left is i guess Odin..
Odin cannot flash .zip formats and all the rom downlodables are in .ZIP format...
is there a way out?

Wrong info, sorry OP for the confusion
Swyped from my Samsung Galaxy SII
hi guys, i have came here to ask for some professional advice since i am completely stuck.
i am new to android and custom ROMS. I did my research into how to install custom ROMS to my android though made a mistake.
I basically wiped my phone from the:
"ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO DO THIS:
no
no
no
no
yes
no
no"
.... its now stuck on either stock recovery mode or on the screen where it shows the colorful S and the words Samsung GALAXY S II screen.
What i did
I installed clockworkMod to my android since i wanted to directly install the cyanogenMod from the clockwordMod app. i watched some you tube tutorials and did some research on how to. I followed the steps up until it was time to install the CyMod. i cant access my phone anymore to be exact but an error message along the lines of:
E: cannot install this ROM
E: another failed install message
installation canceled.
(sorry it vague, i struggle to remember the exact messsages)
So i tryed it again and the same error messages came up. previous to this stage i had taken all the backup recommendations though due to a ...Mistake i wiped everything off the phone from the example above thinking it was a step before installing the new ROM. and now im here...
I assume this is a very noob thing to do but...well everyones got to start somewhere.
my phone does not get recognized by my computer so cant transfer files into it and reboot like that so i have no idea how to get it back?
any advice or help would be great.
thanks.
**EDIT**
i am also able to access Download mode (if this helps for a solution)

im not too sure how i would do this.
i can enter recovery mode and the options i have are :
reboot system now
apply from sdcard
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
so i chose apply from sd card and the list is:
../
update.zip
update1.zip
.adc/
.adobe
ETC
but there is no 'clockworkMod' backup folder or anything which i would assume the backup is stored!!
the update.zip and update1.zip is the CyMod that didnt work (failed to verify whole-file signiture)
?

I think you have to unzip that via recovery, not windows.
Hey everyone,
yesterday I made a big mistake with my SGS3. I wanted to full wipe it - what I did - but I also formated the internal storage. Now there is no OS on it.
It's still possible to get in the recovery and I was also able to push cm11 on the micro sd card, but I when I tried to install cm11 from the sd card, it wrote failed.
How can I fix that?
If possible it would be great if the instructions would be easy to understand.
Please help me!

Well you should toggle verification signature. Maybe will work.

Or install other rom, like one with the custom stock 4.3 and install rom manager and update your recovery. Try to install the last version of cwm

I tried to install cwm because this "toggle...." option wasn't in twr.
but now I can't even go into the recovery
It stucks in the Samsung Galaxy SIII logo
How you tried to install cwm? O.O. You did all wrong i bet... Download the stock rom from the sammobile. Just put it stock, you know how to do that? And root again, and install the rom manager of clockwork mod and with that install cwm dude. Simple and you will have an updated version of cwm and all roms will work. Make sure that you are downloading the right zips. I bet you have the gt-i9300 ?

After the download I put the phone in download mode
then I flash the stock firmware through odin
then root
then flash cwm
then flash cm11
right?
Yes dude... That's how i did. Stock rom -> root -> install rom manager on google play and in rom manager install cwm recovery. Then you go to recovery, already with the cm 11 zip in the sd card and so you do a wipe data and an install by sd card.

Install cwm manually, I personally don't trust rom manager.
