I am not sure if this is just my unit or is it a general issue with the Mega 6.3
I have the i527 (at&t ver.). And in this post, I am using specifically about the front camera. The quality looks pretty decent in the camera app, but the taken photo is just so blurry. I tried taking a screen shot while in the camera app to compare, and it looks a lot better.
Anyone experiences the same issue? Is there any workaround to take better photo with the front camera?
Thanks

Still havent gotten mine (cmon friday!!) ,but after comparing my og to the 3vo, ive noticed the launcher (the arc above rather) on the 3vo is not as defined or rounded. It looks very ''choppy'' ..so to speak. Not smooth and round like my og. Is it just the stores demo device, or is that the way they all look?

Yea, they didn't put anti alias around the edges, looks bad.
How can they overllok stuff like that? Seriously, it was the first thing I noticed. Also, did anyone have to re-teach themselves to hold a phone because of smearing the camera lens?

Yeah I rub the lens constantly.....I knew it was gonna be an issue before I even for it.....I know its gonna be scratched to shot before i know it ...but I love the feel and look of this one....the OG was neva tough for my to hold.....to me this one is even better 4 me tho

I think HTC did a terrible job with the graphics on Sense 3. Most of the icons don't even look like they were converted to the correct resolution so they are not as sharp as they should be.
Also, why can't HTC use HD background picture's for Sense? Their background pictures always look faded and subpar quality when you apply them.
I've scoured the interwebs/googled this to death to no avail, so i decided to ask here.
Would using two magnetic, camera phone lenses on the Evo 3D's cameras work. it seems no one's actually tried this.
I ask because, after watching a few GoPro 3D videos, i realized that GoPro cameras have a permanent wide-angle lens on it, and go curious as to whether it'd work on my phone as a less expensive solution.
I have one magnetic lens already which i use and love but i'd rather know it works before i spend the money. i don't understand the workings of stereoscopicy when using wide angle lense.
any help appreciated!
It would work as long as both lenses are identical. But I'd be nervous of bringing anything magnetic to any of my electronics. That's got a reputation of bad things... But maybe it's safe for a phone?

A lens that attaches magnetically, lol.
Lol i cant post a link because ima noob so ill just say that it's like i simplified camera lens that is smaller and made for cellohones. So instead of screwing it on like a regular camera, you stick a metal ring with adhesive around your phones camera and the lens has a magnet that sticks to this ring
I remember seeing something similar for the EVO 4G, and it worked pretty well.

Yes, it was a magnetic macro lens. It did wonders for the 4G.
Hello all, got a I9300 recently, and I couldn't help noticing how narrow the viewing angle is. Screen gets a tint (purple) as soon as I tilt it a little bit. Almost looks like the gorilla glass is at fault here. I dont know, is this common?
Thanks.

I am pretty sure your screenguard is at fault here.

Pefect viewing angle here. Maybe it's your screenguard.

Viewing angle is fine over here. It's either your phone that's fked up or screen protector as some have mentioned already.

Thanks for the response. I'm not using a screen protector. screen is naked. it's sort of like the problem described here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1752847
The viewing angles are one of the main disadvantages of the Super AMOLED screen...

Yea, I came from a Samsung Vibrant, so maybe I'm just not used to it. It's not like a SUPER bad tint. Just a slight reflective glare. So it's pretty much normal for the Super AMOLED to act like this then?
Hi,
Is it possible to change the default main rear camera from the top one to the lower one (when held vertically)?
The clear plastic cover has developed a crack right over the top lens making photos blurry.
Can't afford to send it for replacement at the mo, but can't figure out if it's possible to switch the cameras instead...
Thx

Perhaps it would be easier to remove the plastic and rotate it 180 degrees so the cracked part is then on the bottom.

Yeh, methinks that rotating the glass is your best bet. Actually switching the cameras would require a considerable bit of coding

I have just tried the toothpaste trick, convinced that it wouldn't work (and would probably wreck my phone)
5 - 10 mins later, rubbing toothpaste on with my finger, then wiping it clean with a damp cloth.
Astonishing difference! Not only does the camera now work brilliantly with no more mistly, milky lens flare, but my phone smells minty fresh (and still works).
Seriously, give it a go - 10 mins effort tops, and you can still send it in for repair after.
The obvious difference was that the coating on the lens was rubbed off, and I have noticed only good things as a result.
YMMV, but what have you got to lose?

Okay I'm starting to get this effect on my phone but I'm scared that if I rub off the coating, the lens will get permanently scratched afterwords.
Has anyone had any problems like this after this procedure?

Its been almost two weeks, the lens is still perfect even though I have been traveling
Hi,
I also just "cleaned" the lens with some tooth-paste, and removed the scratched/worn-off lens coating.
Now the lens is visually clear again, and my pictures are fabulous as usual!
Don't know where the coating was used for exactly, but removing the coating doesn't seemed to influence the picture quality at all.
Thanks for the great tip!
Grtz Mark

Hi,
Great idea, great result!
I found that my pictures start to be foggy and blurry. Camera lens wasn't scratched, but it's look like to have some tiny dirty scratched film over it.
I tried this cleaning idea, and succeed!
Thank you. My pictures are great again!
In the end I did it as well and the results are amazing.
I'm sad I didn't do it before I went on holiday, all my pictures would have been of better quality.
thanks worked great!
incredible. it worked perfectly for me!
thanks a lot!!
It's almost 2016 and it worked for my Z1 Compact
