When i record a video everything seems fine, except the audio, that shows up a very annoying noise. The problem occur while it's recording in 48kHz or into the default value in the camera app settings. When recorded with 11kHz it's ok, but the quality of the audio it's terrible.
Here's a exemple of this problem:
If the youtube video won't play, here's the link: http://youtu.be/SJfhhG0rSI8
I've already tried to look into build.prop or media_profiles.xml but i don't exactly what to do there. Please, help me, i need this function of recording audio a lot.
Thank you.

Yes. Actually, the app i used in the video was JB camera+ which offer the option to change the default value for 11kHz. With Snap camera the problem goes away if i choose the option "use alternative mic", the audio is recorded very well in 48kHz, but the rest of this app has so many bugs that makes me really run away from it. Same with LgCamera, besides the awuful design.

The problem still happens. I guess it's something wrong with codec, idk.

I'm testing the fulll version of it. Works fine, with some more options that the defaul Android camera doesn't give, for example, recording videos in .mp4
aac decoding audio recording... its imposible for stock camera..
i'm happy with that...
more option resolution and frame rate

Video doesn't lag (as is with LGC), and audio recording IS AAC 44.1 mono 128kbps... Only problem is fact when you end recording camera app is "frozen" but u need just close it with homekey and video will be saved...
For me it gives much better results than using LGC...
Is there any way we can gain 120 fps video recording, with a mod or 3rd party app?
The hardware supports it natively, and this shouldn't be impossible to get really..
Use stock camera, it supports it. Check build.prop line:
ro.media.capture.slow.fps=120
Use Video Modes, if you dont have this option set ro.camcorder.videoModes=false to ro.camcorder.videoModes=true in build.prop too.

Well, I got video modes up there and I got slow and fast mode.
However, the slo-mo video is 14 fps and doesn't appear to be recorded at 120fps at all
Something I did wrong?

That value (14 fps) is the playback speed, BUT the phone IS recording 120fps, you can check the time, it records 4 seconds each Real second.

I recorded ten seconds of winamp playing music, and while the recorder says 30 seconds (should've been 40?) played back I only get 10 seconds, mpc says 14 fps too.. I'm guessing the app only think it's recording in slo mo, because movements look normal. :S

Fast forward mode shows slow recording in the camera app, but the actual file is 30fps regular recording.. For some reason it isn't doing what it should.

Use Slow Motion the Last Option, button like this "ll>"
Can you show me a clip made with your phone, and what firmware you are running?
My files end up normal speed.
Hello, I've tried all of the above options and none of them worked.
After modifiying build.prop and rebooting the phone, the stock camera app remains still the same, no slow mo or 120 or anything.
I have tried other options such as modifiying the resolution but no luck. The only modes that appear to me are: Normal video, Video Message and Time lapse.
I've also search in the play store for other camera apps that may have this function, which I have found none.
How did you manage it to work? Please help me.
And also, does anybody know if there is a camera app that supports this recording?
Hey there, i was using AICP rom, and installed Moto Camera. It allows me to record in slowmotion, but for some reason the slowmotion doesn't work, it records in 60fps but without audio... and that makes me question something... This framerate can be added when you record a video normally? I mean, is there an option or mod, or something to change to make the 60fps recording work when you record a normal video?
Have u given permission to app to use mic?

Yes, the thing here is:
When i record in normal mode, records with audio and everything but in 30fps.
When i record in slow motion mode, records without audio (it's normal) but in 60fps
and i was thinking, if supports recording on 60fps, there's a way to add it into the normal recording?
Sorry bro..I don't know. I solved the problem just by giving permission.
Is that true 60fps? Move your video to pc and check it on VLC if it's really 60fps. I did once but it was 30fps l, showing in the VLC media player.
Also I don't think there's any mod to record 60fps in normal mode.
About the audio, they doesn't seems to get recorded in the slow-mo videos :/
I've seen a lot of video recording in youtube and I noticed a ****ty sound .. like it was all too compressed.. :crying:

It was fixed by an OTA update..updated mine right after I bought it.. Didn't have the distortion in video recording.
Not fixed fore me. Sound recording quality is terrible
My use case: The tablet will mostly be idle, sitting on a table. I may pick up the tablet to show someone a video. ONLY when I pick up the tablet to show the video, I want to record a "reaction video" via the "selfie" camera.
What I don't want is an hour or two of video that's shooting nothing.
Are there any apps that are good for this?
Bump? Any ideas?
Starting with Android Nougat you can launch 2 apps at once: In the outlined scenario both the videoplayer and the camera app.

Would that require a split-screen? I want to have a full-screen video player, with a video-camera app "invisible".
I'm not sure if there's a video-camera app that can do that, in addition to only recording when I'm showing a video.
Basically, I think I want to "pin" the video player app, so I can open that with a button-press, and also have that (or motion detection? or something else?) start the video-camera recording.

To achieve this I guess you've to create such an app at your own.
