I have just unrooted and gone back to stock because of loads of problems, anyway I need an app deleting thats in
data/app/eu.chanfire.supersu-2.apk
because I can't watch Sky Go, its saying that im rooted which im not.
So what I need is the ADB commands so I can temp root and deleted it, if anyone could type out process for me or point me in the right direction It would be greatly apreciated
Kev
looks like you did not unroot properly, the easiest way is to do through the super user app.it has an option to unroot, so root again and unroot it

Last night my phone restarted and seemed to have reset everything... I no longer have internet (because all of the default APN settings for ATT in the US DO NOT exist)... My 'home' button does not work correctly. The device will not lock even if I try to setup the lock for it.
I had Gingerblur 6.something on there... I've been trying to read about "flashing the sbf" but I don't know enough to get this working... Can somebody point me in the right direction? Also, can somebody post their default APN's? I would really appreciate the help as my phone is really messed up atm...
can anybody help? it really sucks not being able to use my phone
Sounds like you need to do the SBF. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991072) Its not hard if you follow step by step. What part are you confused about?
I actually managed to get it SB flashed but I cannot seem to get 1.5.7 rooted for whatever reason... I've been trying to install GreyBlur/GingerBlur.
http://briefmobile.com/motorola-atrix-4g-root
^use gingerbreak. It's much easier and works great on the 1.57. Backup the contents of your sdcard though since it will erase all the data.
Also to enable sideloading, download root explorer and sqlite. Go into root explorer --> ers.settings/databases/settings.db. It'll bring you into sqlite. Select secure and the second line should be "install non market apps". Change the value from zero to one
After that, you can install custom ROMs through CWM. I personally like the Gladi ROM
Are you using GladRoot?
i posted this over @ driodrzr.com i am hoping the more eyes see it someone can help me out,
I had this running fine on ICS. Upgraded to JB then while i was re installing all of the RAZR M Things i installed the Text Messaging App with out backing up the old one first. Now the App is missing in the dock. I used root explorer to go to system app and it is not there.I tried to install the app as a normal program but that did not work.I copied it over with RE and set permissions then installed but not go there also. i have not tried use adb not sure how to use that. I have been reading into it. I am lost i have tried everything i know how to do. Please help me out i am loosing my hair trying to figure out this issue. Thanks in advance. anyone have any questions about this jsut ask and i will give me more info.
Anyone with any ideas be JB on RAZR here.
I did the same thing messing with the Razr M stuff - should have never went after that carrot. Anyway, the only way I could fix it was to flash back to ICS (which does not boot), but you can get into recovery to do a factory reset, and then reapply the JB update. The only problem....you WILL lose root! But at least your phone will be 100% functional.
Thanks for telling me i will try that when a root comes out for JB. I have root now and i am using a 3rd party text app for now. Not ideal but it works
I am new here and not really sure if I am asking in the right area (so please don't yell at me!) I have a ZTE Savvy and I wanted to root it. I have looked everywhere online and can not find anything on it. I installed the Framaroot app but had no success.
I was wondering if anyone could try and find out how to root it this type of phone? or if anyone has had any luck? if you could get back to me and let me know that would be great! Thanks.

The provided instructions only provide a "TEMP" root. but hey, we are one step closer now.
When you reboot your ZTE Savvy you will lose root.
At least I can get rid of some bloatware.
Savvy temp root is a joke. Its a start but in to way did it help me. I can't get any of the bloat removed I maybe doing something wrong.
I lose root before reboot. Lasts about five minutes maybe longer. If I can't have full root to get fancy ROMs that is cool but would so live to remove some of the trash they install on here. Any help would be awesome.
A list of some of the apps that I can remove and how to do so would be super. I've tried es file to remove from system app folder won't allow me. Also tried titanium backup.
Titanium says it deleted but it is all still in app drawer just force closes the app I tried to deleted if I try to open it.
Then i lose root before I reboot. Once I reboot all the apps that I deleted come right back fully working. I'm stumped and hate the junk they put on here my phone says system memory is full and I have downloaded like 5 apps the rest is there trash.

There are not even any roms available. not even clockwork mod recovery to install the roms. if you install an incompatible rom its likely it will brick your Savvy. Though I would like to remove the old zte launcher for the digital cookies stock jellybean launcher. it is much faster and makes the whole system faster considering this is a low end spec'd phone.
btw i replied to your message.

Today my s4 lost root out of the blue(i was changing wifi settings at the time).i went to root explorer and its saying i dont have root.I checked Titanium and supersu and they all report its gone.
I had used towelrootv2 i believe, to root my phone.I 've not had any issues with it for about a year now.I froze the service that allows updates so i know it didn't update.
Attached is my phone info. Im really at a loss at how to proceed here, I've spent about 4 hours trying various options but it just dosen't seem to be working.
Trying the towelroot+supersu combo dosent work.Supersu reports there is no su binary.Checking i can verify that no su binary is being created. All "root checker" programs show an empty line for status when checking.I tried motochopper but it failed on the rooting part.I ran the adb commands manually and the result was the same.I run linux, but do have a windows machine available.I dont care about warranty(its already expired) but i would like to retain all data,mms/sms etc.All personal data has been backed up.

Model number didnt fit in the picture its: SCH-1545.

Try using toweleoot v3. Get it from this thread and run it and u should gain root http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...-to-root-i545vrufnk1-4-4-2-12-1-2014-t2959613

Very odd. I would try to use Odin or Safestrap, but you need all your data... My suggestion is normally Odin, but:
A) You need data
B) Odin seems to be screwing up a lot lately
This problem was because the Security manager was updated thru the play store! It automatically pushes to your device...Then protects against root! You didn't freeze the Security updater in titanium. :/ unfortunately...You may have to back up and start from scratch. I can help you!
I have all the packages from Verizon

It updates the selinix partition, you can try to undo the app update, clear data, then use towelroot....but that would be the best you could do. If that doesn't work...Then you have to start over

I hope I'm posting this in the right place, I looked around a bit but I didn't get anything except more confused. So here's my issue, I'm a noob at all this rooting/programming business so before I messed with my nice phone I've been practicing on a LG L15G Sunrise TracFone running android 4.4.2. I gained root access with Kingroot, started to remove some bloatware that seemed safe to uninstall but I was wrong. Something I removed is now causing my settings app to crash. As soon as you try to open it, it just crashes. I don't have a recovery and can't find a rom anywhere for this particular phone. SO, since it's a $10 phone that I only use as a mp3 player anyway I'm not too concerned so I just want to fix it to see if I can and maybe learn something. I have an idea to restore the phone and my main question is can you request admin rights for an app on the phone if i hook it up to my PC with adb shell? If so what are the commands, or scripts, whatever you call it. And my second question is again about using adb console. I want to install an apk file onto the phone, but since my settings don't work, I can't get to the security tab to allow apps from unknown sources. Is there a way to turn this on with adb? Or somehow install the apk manually without permission.
Yeah you should be able to install a program and authorize root access, I don't know about kingroot I haven't heard great things but otherwise what's the point of root. Try installing flashfire and see if you have root access (careful with flashfire it's powerful).. If not I might recommend trying to replace kingroot with supersu like in the following post

Thank you all for your help. I did find the info on another thread and I now have unknown sources enabled. I was planning on replacing kingroot with supersu, there's plenty of tutorials on that floating around. Just wanted to regain access to my settings first before I made things worse. So now I have an idea, tell me if it's stupid. one of the apps i removed screwed the phone up, don't know which one, however, I was able to find apk files of the apps i uninstalled deep in the root browser. If I took these and reinstalled them back in their rightful spots as system apps would everything fall back into place like it never happened? Cuz that would be cool. I've never spent enough hours on this $10 phone I could have bought 10 of em by now if i was working lol. Just glad I was smart enough to take the time to learn this crap on a cheap phone instead of bricking my Moto X on the first go round. thanks for the help guys.

It should. As long as you have a copy of the app. I haven't been using the new root browser, but idk if it has a recycle bin.
