How to get scatter files? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Alright, I own a TCT Alcatel One Touch 918/Alcatel OT-918/T-Mobile Move 2 android device. Now, I have rooted it before, after a while it went into the startup loop, I sent it to repair, and now apparently they upgraded software and it's working fine, however when I try to use scatter.txt and recovery.img that I used before to root it with FlashTool, I get an error "Can not find USB port...", now, I am trying to find a specific scatter for my phone, I have all the drivers installed, although when I tried to install with alternative methods I get "Device tree not found" error, anyway, I need a scatter file, so could someone provide me with ways of getting them for a certain device, please?
Thanks!

QSTP recovery for Cloudmobile?

Hi All,
Yesterday I made a mistake of issuing the wrong command via adb on my device, and it looks like I have an empty phone right now. The only sign of life was an unidentified driver in the device manager showing up as QH-USBLOAD. So after some digging I was able to figure out I needed the Qualcomm drivers and a tool called QSPT, which I found together with a package called Acer Emergency Tool. After installing everything, my phone shows up as connected in DownloadMode (so it's not dead). Now, when I follow the instructions given in the tutorial present in the package (load build xml file and selecting both hex programmer and mbn files), I got an error about a coockie not being present, which, according to the tutorial, meant I had the wrong SKU. I tried modifying the xml, and provided a boot img I have from backup, and this time it went trough. Problem is, my phone should enter crashstate (again, according to the tut) (bluescreen) and then the acer device is supposed to be recognised. But, that doesn't happen. I get a return of no error by the software, so in my understanding the bootimg was succesfully downloaded, still no sign of life...Any suggestions on this one? Now, I'm not totally new to Android, but still....this is a real challenge :silly:
Below is the reading from the eMMC Softwaredownload :
So....nobody a clou?
I've downloaded a tool called Riff, and would be able to repartion my device. So my next question is, after repartitioning, will fastboot be accesible?
Solved
Solved, was able to bring everything back....thanks for all the help I got here (yep.....extremly ironic)

[Q] Alcatel OT-918 (TCT Move 2) cannot root anymore.

All right, I have a question... I have tried a root method for Alcatel OT-918 from your forums, and it worked... but after some time, I turned my phone off and then it would suddenly go to Android screen and restart itself and then go to Android startup screen and do the same, it caught in a loop, although it had worked for weeks after I rooted in... anyway... I sent it to repair service and they said that only thing they did is upgraded software as suggested by manufacturer. Now when I try to root my phone using FlashTool and a given scatter file for my android I simply can not, it says "Can not find USB port." Although I have all the drivers installed and everything is working properly... nevertheless, when I tried to install alternative usb_driver, I got an error saying "no device tree"... Anyway, I really need a solution and find out why is this happening...

Acer b1 a71 stock rom with scatter file

i bricked my acer b1 a71 trying to install twrp. after flashing it successfully and went to reboot . it just showed ther acer logo then blank screen. i tried going to recovery but was just able to go to the first part where you have three choices sd image update mode flashboot mode and clean boot. i tried all three and just acer logo then blank screen. tried the reset pin on the side but still nothing. i read and study all tutorials there is and it all boils down to having a stock rom. now i"ve searched and searched the entire net and i was able to get two stock roms but i dont know if it is okay or not because when i use the scatter file on sp flash tools it says scatter file error or format error i tried to rename it but till error. i used every version of sp flash tools and still scatter file error. so i dont know if those roms are legit or not. also my laptop is 64 bit. i read somewhere that mtk6577 is not supported by 64 bit. the mtk on the specs of acer is mtk8317t but it is also recognized as mtk6577 and that is also what mtk droid tools showed. can anybody please help me here. i know xda has helped a lot of peole and im hoping that i can be also one of them. thanks a lot in advance.

[Q] Some help needed with flashing an S4 clone mt-6572

Hi All,
I have a phone that looks like a Samsung S4, but is in fact a Mediatek MT-6572.
As the installed software did not allow me to open lots of apps, I decided to give rooting and reflashing a go.
I managed to root the device, had super SU installed and then tried to find a ROM that worked.
In that process I managed to (accidentally) format the bootloader.
At present the phone is only being recognised by SP Flashtool (as an MT-6572).
I can do a format, no problem.
I can start the flashing, but always get some sort of error.
At first it was the NAND vs Emmc error, so I tried to find a working NAND ROM.
The ones I did find on the net also resulted in some sort of error.
I had both a BROM error and the "PMT changed for the ROM" error.
I have been using the SP flashtool 5.1628.
Any suggestions anyone?

I wondered if someone could try to help me? :)

Hello guys! I have a problem with one phone that i am trying to fix for someone and I feel sooo, sooo completely lost in all of this as I know almost nothing about this. The cell phone model that is in question is Alcatel One Touch Pop C3-4033x.
It seems to be using a Mediatek chipset and I was reading some of your advices here & there and tried using the program called SP FlashTools but it always resulted in error, in the end. It seems that something is wrong with this phones emmc flash memory. So, I tried transfering some files as a zip files to the SD-card and tried to apply update from it, but it said always: Installation aborted. And then, I have tried looking for a way to flash stock firmware of that specific Alcatel model on SD-card, but I just don't have any clue how to do it, if it is possible, even. Maybe I should just give up trying?
Oh, I almost forgot to write that the phone doesn't have the access to Android OS and USB debugging isn't turned on, because computer doesn't seem to list it and I don't know if there any button combinations that Alcatel uses for this model to get into that fastboot or adb mode, even though have installed mediatek drivers. It can only get into Android System Recovery 3e. That seems to be everything, I think, at least.
Oh guys, I am so, so, so sorry if I am bothering you with this. I just didn't know what or where else to ask this. Thank you sooo much!
Hi download those files:
Firmware:
https://www.mediafire.com/file/bpm4ibsbmr4q6nc/OT-4033X-Without_Mobilis_logo__BY_GSMSERVE.rar/file
SP Flash tool:
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=11410963190603870440
Driver:
https://mega.nz/#!8VYkQCxD!fkhTrZwFFILDAglO1cR_8pIM4Cel52brZ7RB6QZoc6o
Once you downloaded all right driver open SP flash tool and add Scatter file
MT6572_Android_scatter.txt
Click on Download , connect your phone without battery and see if the process is going on if not try again with battery inside.
If you end up with error do the same thing but now first do Format then after is Finish do Download. Good luck ...
It still displays error :/

I have tried to do everything like you have said, but it still displays error when i press the Download button, and it displays that error after some seconds pass and also the same happens hen i try to use the Format function. This is the error it displays when i tried with the download button: BROM ERROR: S_DA_SDMMC_WRITE_FAILED (3149)
And this is the same error it displayed when i tried using the Format function: S_DA_SDMMC_WRITE_FAILED (3149)
i am so, so sorry for bothering with this.
Click to collapse
Try with another version of SP Flash tool little bit newest .
