Hey guys , so here's my story
I recently bought a new spacious SD card for my new phone and decided to move all my files there. I was having trouble with the apps so I found out FolderMount could be helpful. I rooted my device without any problems and checked it too before using FolderMount.
However when I opened FolderMount it said it needed to patch/repair something so I hit OK. After that it said You can reboot your device now. so I did. After that my device starts and stands still after the samsung logo is shown. I wouldn't call it freeze because I can see it's still working (the background of the samsung logo gets a blue gradient every second) but I'm beginning to worry about it since it has been in that state for like more than an hour. Rebooting wont help.
Any ideas??

Go to recovery mode, clear dalvik and cache, fix permissions and reboot. If it still bootloops then factory reset.
Wipe phone flash stock firmware or read the hundreds of identical boot loop posts .

Hello friends,
I have a Galaxy S3 - i9300 and it seems that I was luck enough to get a good half sds, I am no expert so I can be sure of nothing...
Here are the symptoms:
In the last weeks I had a few resets and freezes but they were so unnusual that I simply did not care.
My S3 is 4.0.4 if I am not wrong, I only rooted it after buying back on september 2012 and did not update afterwards.
Overnight something happened to my phone, when I woke up it was in a constant loop: the "Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300" kept appearing and disappearing over and over again.
Sometimes it goes beyond that message up to the classic "Samsung" animation but then the company name keeps shinning and nothing else happens.
I can get to clockwork recovery mode, but once it starts I get a few messages telling me that it cannot mount /cache and another one telling me it cannot open /cache.
I can navigate through all menus of recovery mode but all "format" options seems to freeze the phone, I can get to download mode without any issues.
By using Download mode + Odin I tried to install a Stock ROM I got from Sammobile, in fact I tried 3 different roms, all of them seem to get stuck at "Write NAND". During the "Writing NAND" my phone shows the classic blue progress bar completly full but I get no update from neither Odin or my phone.
It's curious to note that the bar get instantly to 100%.
I tried using GT-I9300_mx_20120220.pit / GT-I9300_mx_20120329.pit and desperatly mx.pit All of them got perfectly applied to my phone but did not help.
Yes, I tried to install all 3 roms after each .pit change and I did restart my computer.
No Kies proccesses were running during any of these steps I have taken.
I am desperate.
Not "Oh my god what should I do with my life" desperate. Something more like "My freacking 500 bucks!!"
I dont know if that is allowed or not but I am willing to donate a beer or two to whoever helps me recover my phone. If the person would prefer charity I can buy and donate some clothes to some local institution and send a picture of my action taken with my recovered phone xD
Thank You in advance.
If you have not flashed anything besides OFFICIAL ROMs (I.E: CF-Root or similar) that increases your binary counter (red little mark on the left top corner of screen) yo haven't voided your warranty, so you can send it back to Samsung tecchies

The problem is, my counter is actually on five, I do recall in my "Hey, a new toy!" week I have tried different custom firmwares but then I got all crazy about it and got back to a Official ROM, the counter was already on 5 by the time I returned to stock, if I somehow get samsung to take my phone I don`t believe they would take my word and restore my phone, nor I can prove to anyone that its a stock ROM that I have on it...
Anyway, I will try to contact Samsung tomorrow but my phone is the internacional one, I bought it in the USA but I live in Brazil... I am not counting on their support and my counter does me no good on that quest...
EDIT:
My custom recovery is, by what I can see, not formatting my internal SD, but maybe, just maybe, I can prove I was using a Stock ROM if they look at my files... Or even better, my phone did daily backups to dropbox using Titanium Backup, sure there is something there that proves that my firmware was a official one...
Who am I kidding, this is not a court...

Hmm, afaik about sds, you can't get into recovery or download mode at all...
Looks like you've tried all options, it could be bootloader related...idk its worth a try.

Ok, just tried it:
I got again to cwm without any issues, selected "install zip from sdcard", then "choose zip from sdcard".
It started to update, and then a bunch of fast messages and REBOOT, it all happens pretty fast after the "Update in process" appear.

I am sorry, the message I am talking about is within the cwm. If I got the optimizing apps message I would be in a bar celebrating...
My phone does not have external sd card, I just used my roommate one to try this.
Another curious fact, I cannot access my INTERNAL sd card, every time I try to navigate its folders to search for a zip file I get a freeze and the reboot cycle starts again, just like when I try to format cache or do a factory reset...
I am starting to think this may be an internal sd problem...

Hmm...
Yes, it is probably a internal memory problem..
because, your odin stops at writing nand, well best solution is to take it up to sammy.

Hello xda.
First of all I want to applogise for individual thread, but I'm desperate because I think I f**ked my phone..
The problem is that the phone doesnt want to connect to USB anymore..
I'll try to explain how I get there.
I rooted my phone. I did it like this : watch?v=wLQ51Pg77q4
All good till here.
Then I wanted to install Galaxy S4 Weather Widget Tried it like thid dude - /watch?v=pCeBOz8bxlc
I downloaded Astro File Manager and Solid Explorer trying to replace the Weather Widget.
Astro couldn't delete or replace those files and I finally managed to delete them with Solid Explorer one by one ( couldn't delete all of them together ) and copied the S4 Weather Widget ones.
The problems started when i restarted my phone. When I added the widget the screen started to flicker.. couldn't to anything about it so I decided to install the original firmware 4,1,2 JB.
I downloaded it from the internet and installed with odin what I tought it would be the original JB 4,1,2 for S2 like it stated in the description but I don't think it was the original one.. ( exact same kernel as I had - I bought the phone with 4,1,2 JB installed )
Sinced I managed to fix my phone ( I tought that way ) I rooted again and installed Titanium Backup.. and deleted ChatOn.. ( I wanted to delete all unnecessary apps )
After reboot the phone couldnt boot.
I flashed again the firmware I found on the internet and wanted this time to only install Galaxy S4 Weather Widget and nothing else ( except games and "normal" apps )
I could't do it again and I gave up.. and tought that if I go to Settings > Factory Reset and reset the phone I will have it clean and I'll stop installing things I couldnt do..
But..now the phone does not recognize anymore USB Cable and i have some serious bugs, like the phones sometimes charges when i connect charger... sometimes it does not.. the battery % drops from 99 % to 87 % very very fast..
To make the long story short I want to install the original JB 4,1,2 for Galaxy S2 but I can't do it because my phone charges sometimes when i connect it to USB but it doesn't 'see' it and I can't hear that sound that PC used to do when I connected the phone and the USB cable ( USB Debugging turned on ).
Pleaseeee helllppppp
my usb port is dying too. phone keeps flipping between car mode and normal charging at like 20 times in a second when sometimes it goes out of its mind,
Q.was this s4 weather widget caper worth making your phone unuseable.
Is it worth someone telling you how to resurrect your phone.....as my guess is your only going to muck it up again by attempt no.3 at that weather widget install.

Q. Does it help you to feel better to be like that ?
I need help to "ressurect" my phone, do you think I'll even download S4 lockscreen from android market if I'll make it work properly ?
But i agree to your message in this post, I was stupid and acted like a child and now i suffer the consequences....
If somebody knows how to fix this pleaseeeee posttttt
So nobody seems to know even on this high-rated forum...
I'm f**ked
try to use a NukeCleaner and flash a custom Rom or stock rom, I prefer Custom rom since it is more updated and has more features
As @KingOfDope said, nuke your phone clean using hawkerpauls script, and i recommend flashing a stock firmware with odin and NOT root it until you have some more knowledge of this stuff... And if you do flash a custom rom, do not ever delete your system files, just freeze chaton if you hate it, and don't take youtube videos as legit instructions, if you want a GS4 weather widget, search in xda and read the whole thread.
Can one of you help me with NukeCleaner pleaseeee ?

I've answered your private message, but i guess i should start a thread with instructions, too many people asking this lately because they don't want to read the thread...
#HarlemShake: okey, so download all the file i just said (rom.zip, gapps.zip, cwm.zip)
#HarlemShake: power off your device
#HarlemShake: hold volume up + power button and home button till you are on the recovery mode
#HarlemShake: choose, install a zip, and choose cwm.zip
#HarlemShake: and when you are on clockwork recovery mode, install a zip again and choose this time the rom.zip and than gapps.zip when you are done, go back to home menu and choose format data, and you are done. reboot and wait (the first boot will take awhile)
Kindofdope helped me and told me to do this in order to "unf**k" my phone.
Cant do that.
When im in recovery mode i only have:
reboot system now
apply update from ADB
apple update from external storage
wide data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
apply update from cache

This is urgent because its my brothers note 3. I have my own personal Note 3 that is rooted with custom rom and works perfectly. I tried simply rooting his phone via odin but now the phone wont boot. I power cycle and the samsung logo flashes and it takes me to odin mode. in big red letters at the top of the screen it says Could not normal boot. Please help me!
Try removing the back and pulling the battery out for a few seconds. Then replace all and reboot. I've used this trick when nothing else works and see other comments where this helped with a stuck reboot.

I actually resolved the issue by downloading the latest stock rom and reflashing it. Luckily i didnt lose any data.
Not sure why the root didnt work though since it did on mine.

So, I already had some issues with this device and they've been pretty similar, in a way that the problem always starts with random reboots when the power button is pressed. About two weeks ago I took it to a technician, because all sorts of connectivity (3G/Wi-fi/Bluetooth) simply stopped working, after yet another reboot. About 3 days ago I got it back and it was working fine except for the fact that the initial boot Motorola logo (The green one before the other logo animations) wasn't showing up. He told me it was fine because it was only an aesthetic problem because he couldn't find that image for my device's resolution.
This morning when i was going to work i picked up my XT1025 Moto E to check for messages and it suddenly restarted. So when I turn it back on, not only the animations did not pop up, but after some time all i get is a black screen, no UI whatsover, all I can do is turn off/restart the phone. At random times when I turn on the screen, it's content shows up but I can't click anything, and then an error message pops up saying that ''system has stopped responding''. I've tried many things to fix it, but nothing has worked so far.
What i've tried:
-Wiping cache partition did not work
-Factory resetting did not work either
-Unlocking bootloader (but apparently it was unlocked already)
-Flashing a custom recovery did not work for some reason...
These last two were on the ''All-In-One Guide'' by neo.ank and honestly I have no idea what i should do to fix this problem - I was thinking about reinstalling the stock ROM but i'd rather ask here first for you guys suggestions... (like i said, complete newb here).
Sorry for the long post and bad english, hopefully someone can help me out on this.

I think it's currently using lollipop 5.1.
If u want to get back to stock 5.1 then flash stock rom. Then download the firmware from below link .
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347783250
and download the batch file
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24269982087018369
1. Boot ur phone in fastboot mode then.
2. Extract the firmware and batch file on same folder and click on the batch file.
3. Click on the Fashtool batch file.
