Hi,
Is there a way to assign an app to the Power Button / Menu Button (on Galaxy S4)
At the moment I can only call the shortcut menu, what I really want is to call my favorite app from the Power Button / Menu Button.
Is there such functionality on the S4 (I heard there is on some Motorola table)?
Thanks

[Q] Is there a way to make capacitive menu button work as "recent apps" button?
Is there a way to make capacitive menu button work as "recent apps" button? or swap function with holding down home. In ICS, I use 'recent apps' a lot more than menu (and with menu becoming a 3 dot icon in app anyway). Holding down home button for 1 second is i think too slow, and when you use it a lot, those seconds adds up.
On my Galaxy Nexus, despite the fact that it has a menu button, I would get a menu key in certain apps like Gmail (bottom right) and Market (top right). It would be an additional three-dot button that was essentially menu access, like pressing the menu key.
However, I notice on my SGS3 that these apps and others lack this additional menu button. Is there a way to turn it on/enable it? Like...tell the phone, "Hey, I know you have a menu button, but if the app supports it turn its menu button on too"?
Thanks in advance!
How can you use exDialer with such android phones that don't have physical menu button or virtual navigation bar...?
I have Cyanogenmod 10.1.3 and exDialer on Galaxy S2 i9100. I want to disable menu button and change it to multitask button as it is a legacy thing.
When I disable it most programs (gallery, gmail, dropbox, etc...) create a 3-dot menu button to upper right corner of the screen. But exDialer does not do this.
How do you get access to exDialer menus in HTC One? I guess it has similar situation as there is no menu button.
long press the multitask button

Click to collapse
I acces it on the motorola xt914 with a long press on the multitask button
I would like to remap the capacitive menu button to the recent apps switcher (default long press of the home button)
and then remap the LONG press of the menu button to the menu function (I need the ability to use the menu button when within the stock samsung apps like messaging, because they use fixed layouts and their apps are designed without the menu overflow.)
also my question is would apps still detect the phone as having a hardware menu button? I would like to be able to have apps have the menu button and not rely on the hardware.
then maybe since I would no longer need the home button long press possibly remap that to kill the current app? (that is not as important but just a side note)
I have looked EVERYWHERE and can not find a viable way to do this on the stock rom. thanks

Hi guys, I would just like to ask how to pull up the menu options on the S9 Plus using the keys or nav buttons? Back on my S7E to pull the menu of any app, we just have to long press the back button. It doesn't do that on the S9+. Just to be clear I'm not talking about the settings
