Nova Launcher prime 2.3 is fully compatible! and it is a lot faster than the stock launcher!

Sorry, i mean the themes, not the launcher it self, i like alot the Nova launcher that is the one i`m using on my GS4, but if i use a diferent launcher on my Gpad i will miss the knock knock feature and others more.
I guess the themes for the Lg G2 will work on ours Gpad, i will get a try.
Does the knock on feature really dissappear? I don't think so, that would be shot in the knee for for LG ... I don't own gpad, but I think you can double tap the status bar to disable, and the middle of the screen to wake up, no matter what's the launcher. True?

Knock Knock only works for me when the screen is off using Nova Launcher.
I'm using nova prime and it's brilliant just like on my note 3

Yes this is correct. Its built in at kernel level. As far as knock off goes there is an app called screen off and lock. Get it and assign a gesture in nova too it. Double tap screen off or swipe up or any other combo works too.

Screen Off is free and works with with the gestures in Holo Launcher HD to restore the knock-knock feature. The wake screen works fine with an alternate launcher.

Double knock in middle of screen no longer works with Nova, but you can still double tap the status bar to put it to sleep

I have Mega 6.3 under control android version 4.2.2 . I would like disable rotation only in app drawer and main screen. Does anybody know How I can get it?

As far as I am aware, you can disable it fully not partially. If you want to keep the screen from rotating on the hone screen and app drawer and you don't have that much of a liking for touchwiz, you can install a launcher application from the play store. A great example of a launcher like this is Nova Launcher, its free but buying pro gives you more features.

hey all,
im a lefty, and unless im watching something i hold my tab in portrait which on my phone (z2) is fine since the app drawer icon is at the bottom, but on the tablet its top right in the most inconvenient place. does anyone know a way to reposition it without using another launcher? im rooted and have xposed installed, would be fantastic if there was a mod to fix this annoyance.

Yes i've posted about an alternate method to get in the drawer as well. I'd love to just set up a gesture or something but haven't found anyway to do that either.
Yea, it's pain in the A. On ios there are some cydia tweaks that let you set press/slide gestures to control apps and system settings, something like that would be nice. Or of cause Sony could think ahead for once and allow you to move the blood thing

I don't understand why you guys are so fixated on using the Sony launcher. Nova Launcher is so much more flexible and works more fluidly at that.

I don't really know why tbh, I kinda like to keep things simple. I may give nova a try, I'm not really a fan of flashy launchers with an overload of animations though

Just wanted to say thanks for the heads up. Nova is really nice. Very old school stock android style, I like it allot. And the best part....the app drawer launcher is in the middle for both portrait and landscape.

I use Nova Prime on everything else, but I really like Sony's options for the app drawer.
Wondering what Launcher is most used with the Note 4.
I've always used Nova primarily cause I like the icon gestures options and increased grid options . But new to the Note 4 and just wondering with the Spen and all most would stick with Touch Wiz.
I'm on Nova since this got the smart gestures and works simple the best for me not to much just enough of everything.
I installed nova as I'm used to it also. I don't think it takes away from any of the spen functionality switching to nova though. I may be wrong.

The only thing I've noticed we can't do with Nova is ... 'pin' Action memos to our screen. On TW launcher the memos have a pin icon top right which dissapears on 3rd party launcher.
I am using smart launcher for efficiency

Via the widget, yes. That is a different method than pinning individual action memos
And GEL is Google Experience Launcher
Sorry xposed XGel is a tweak to customize the launcher.
I use Action Launcher. It has unique functionality, like the ability to swipe up on a icon and assign any widget to it. It's fast too

I've tried a few since getting my note 4, smart launcher is nice, then Nokia z launcher (which I loved) but the best for me so far is launcher 8 for Android it looks so cool on the note 4 screen

I'm not a Samsung fan. My gs3 I rooted and flashed cyanogenmod within 6 months, so just got a nexus 5 when it dropped, but this phone is so "beast" I had to come back to Samsung, but it's Google Experience Launcher all the way for me!

I use picspeed wallpapers just to get the option when setting wallpapers, best wallpaper "setter" I've encountered. Can set scroll or not, landscape, portrait, with any of those you can zoom in and out while maintaining the proper size box which can be moved around so WYSIWYG. Never use it for getting wallpapers and cant comment on the part but it carries its freight for me by being the default "setter".
I'm using Action Launcher 2, all edge features work.
Nova would be awesome if the swipe down actually made the notifications expand. For the moment, I'm using Action since all the gestures work properly.
I used TW for a few days. It was fine. I didn't really hate it.
But I saw Nova had a beta version and I love it. Been running it a little over a day now without issues.

Try the latest beta. It works. It just asks you to enable Nova's accessibility service and that about it! :good:

I finally bought Nova. lol I think it's cheaper then it usually is not that it was a lot. I like the double tap gesture with screen off app. After having LG phones I kept doing that on Sammy's. lol

That was the first thing I did. But I use Nova or Erie. Works great!
For reviewing purposes i always use the standard software/launcher the first week. I'm still not a fan, altho it's getting better every phone they make.
Using Nova for a few days now and works flawlessly.
But any launcher that is android 8.0 oreo compatible, will work (so almost all launcher)
I used Apex launcher and it is great with lots of very nice features

Yes I have the same problem with Nova Launcher. I get a "Permission Denied" message when I try to open the Torch app and also get a "App not installed" when I try to add the Screen Lock widget to the homescreen.
I'm on BLA-L29 8.0.0.119 (C636)
I use TSF Shell 3d.... It is really good with tons of unique features...
I love Evie, very light, very responsive and enough features.
I'm using nova too and yes it's a bit buggy at the moment. I've the issue with the torch app, but it seems that it works ok from the notification center.
About other stuff:
I hate the fact that there is no animation when you push on the Google search bar. I had to remove it from the home because any time i clicked on it i felt like i was going to puke. Furthermore, if you want to enable the google feed page, you have to download the google companion apk from the web.
All in all it works, but I'm a bit worried that the switch from the standard launcher can block out some of the huawei AI features.
huawei's launcher is not bad at all. It is really smooth, and of course being it tailored on the device in the first place, it's totally bug free and it's the one that best matches the rest of the system. The problem is that it doesn't allow you to customize much stuff. For example applying play store icon packs it's a total mess, and the default icons are totally, completely, absolutely ****. You can just try to sort out something from the huawei theme app, but at the moment the themes sold there are not even worth a download. I switched to android because i wanted to try the "customize" experience and if I'm not having it, i get nervous.

Yeah me too, with some widgets it crashes. If i try to use android weather widget I've to shout it down because it crash so badly it won't restart.

You can change this and switch to app drawer mode for the same stock launcher

You can different icon pack from theme store or emui theme factory
This is my Launcher, Evie, with Amphetamine icons pack. The only things that don't change are the Set tin and notification drop down.
