Hi! This is my first time rooting xperia p. I have rooted Htc before without any problem.
When I start the program it keeps saying ADK cant ACK. Cannot launch daemon. I have enabled usb debugging.
I would appreciate any help.
Thanks

Run flashtool see if it detects USB debugging on.
Device information? What program are you using?

Download it over pc, connect with usb and put on sd card.
You need to have astro manager on phone, download on some wireless.

Yes, but instead of installing astro thru wifi, you just install flashtool on computer, activate adb on phone and use the install apk function.. its a more convinient method.
And it doesnt require root

Hi all , i have run into a really persistent problem while trying to root my Xperia P.
I cannot seem to get device manager to recognize my phone while in debugging mode , under Android ADB interface .
I've1) installed PCcompanion
2) installed SUS
3) installed drivers from the flashtool drivers folder
4) installed xperia p drivers from http://developer.sonymobile.com/wportal/devworld/downloads/download/xperiapxperiauxperiasoladrivers
but i still cannot get device manager to recognize my phone . However , it does show up under storage .
I really hope anyone can solve my problem . Thanks in advance !

Thanks for the reply and driver, but I already found out the FlashTool had one in the Drivers folder. This worked for me.
