Hi!
The code usedin the I9100 does not seem to work here.
Does anyone know what the code for finding the product code of the I9300 is?
Thanks!
edit:
used check fus application.. no secret codes needed!
Any help on this?
it will be there in the box right? or in the back of the mobile below battery
Can you clarify what you mean by product code? Are you meaning the CSC? Country Code?

if he meant the csc and pda version then he can use *#1234# in the dialer
Sorry for not being specific.
The code I mean is *2767*4387264636#
On my I9100 it gives me the product code GT-I9100LKAPTR for example and some more info.
But I can't make it work on the I9300..
I'm getting an error: Error: "Connection problem or invalis MMI code
tried the same code with a comma after it (*2767*4387264636#,) still does not work..
Product Code options if secret codes don't work:
1. Sticker/label on box
2. Check Fus https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.johnan.checkfus will display

I would think factory reset, and immediately flash stock complete firmware package will give another recognise PC. If you do the same, but mix firmware from different builds (ie kernel, CSC, modem, ROM base), you will have an unrecognised PC.

Check this link:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.manniakk.cscselector&hl=en
It's the official Samsung S/S2/S3 CSC selector on Google Play Store. I have tried it & it works easily.
Take into consideration the following:
1) Your installed firmware/ROM should have a multi CSC to be able to use this app.
2) No need to root your device. The only device that needs rooting is the one mentioned under the description of the app. However, the extreme majority of devices can use this app easily.
3) Once you change your device's CSC, you will lose ALL your data. So backing up your device is recommended.
Good luck.

the product code and csc codes are not the same thing.
The product code will be something like GT-I9300RWDBTU
The first part is the general model number, GT-I9300
the second part describes the exact model, RWD
the third part is the csc code, BTU.
The product code on my phone says not active and I've been trying for months to find a solution to repair it.
has any body got any ideas?
Many thanks

My note 3 also shows product code not active... Searched many forums but no solutions found. So wondered if s3's product code not active problem's solution might help.
I fixed my problem by resetting the phone using a z3x box. A Couple of hours reading up on how to use it but then it took 5 mins to sort the problem.

I think that you are mistaken.
The application is in fact free of charge to install through Google Pkay, but you must indeed pay 2,50€ (or so) if you want to unlock your phone.
It is a server based one (i think)

Sim Network Unlock Pin - Official jellybean 4.1.2 Spain
Hi all!
Installed the official jellybean 4.1.2 that was released yesterday for Spain.
The firmware works as good as it's supposed to, but I'm asked for a "Sim Network Unlock Pin". I use a factory unlocked I9100 Galaxy S2.
I've read several forums which suggest apps that provide the unlock pin for rooted phones. I don't want to root my phone, seeing as i installed an official rom on a phone that wasn't locked when i bough it. I never had this problem when i previously upgraded my phone.
I even tried a factory reset coz i'm an idiot and it did not solve this either.
I'm not sure if downgrading would help. Why am I being asked for a pin i have no idea about?? Will installing jellybean firmware released for UK solve this problem??
Working

thread according to my mobile specification then I will really appreciate
it. I know its very easy for you but not for me. I'm on ROM RR REMIX 4.1.2 GT I9100 ... I tried the galaxy unlock application but it requires credit card which I don't have so some one please please I'm really begging u guys I really miss using my s2 on the internet ...its the only company I have
Please stop posting in 3 threads about your problem as its making me more depressed than you seem to be.

Hi:
What brand of phone do you have? Do you have the original box and papers that came with the phone? Really you should always know this information BEFORE you even touch anything on your phone and always make and keep a record of it. The original Samsung phone box should have the specific numbers you are looking for, this would be a good starting place. Another thing you should have done before modding your firmware would have been to go to settings>about phone to find and keep a record of the Model number, version number etc. Then you could have compared those identifers with files found in Sam Mobile and come up with the Stock ROM. Do you know what country the phone's firmware was meant to be used in? You'll need to provide more specific information so that others could be more helpful to you.

Same here i dont know if your phone was branded or not .
Why not download one of each .
Or find exact same supplier of the phone that you bought from .
IMEI does not indicate branding though it may give a clue as to the phone vendor .

Hi everyone.
I know it is very silly question but i am very confused.
I bought a S3 with 2GB RAM and LTE. I am not sure that it is i9305 or SHV210s.
SHV210s variant has an antenna but my cell does not have it, so i thought it is i9305 but when i go to download mode (using volume down+home+power keys) it shows its model as SHV210s.
how can i be sure about my cell's variant because i want to install custom ROM on it???

Anyway, check the sticker beneath the battery + settings->about phone -> model number

i think sticker is fake because it says i9300.
stock or custom rom of i9300 was installed in it when i purchased,
in settings->about phone -> model number was also showing as i9300,
then i installed stock rom of shv210s (stock rom of i9300 and i9305 was failed to install) ,now it is showing shv210s.

No of course not wrong rom can totally brick your phone with no recovery .
You should revert to stock firmware and read the faqs and guides before any custom roms before your ignorance gives you a phone that requires a new motherboard .
