Hello there. I recently purchased the Seido 1400mAh battery and it came in today. I turned off my phone and popped in the new battery and turned it back on. From what I read about battery calibrating, I let the phone die and then plugged it in to charge. I wanted to check on it after charging for a few hours, only to find that it won't turn on. The red light kind of flashes when I push the power button. If I put my old battery back in it turns on just fine.
Any idea?
So I let it "charge" over night and still had the same issue. I was able to get into Android today but after a few minutes it just shut off. The battery has never gone above 0%.
Could this be a defective battery? The reason I bought a new battery is because the stock one is bulging and doesn't hold a charge, but it charges just fine in the phone.

The batt is defiantly defective and needs to be replaced if possible
I just got my replacement battery in the mail and it isn't charging either. This just doesn't make sense. It shouldn't be my phone because the stock battery charges just fine...
Anybody have issues with the supplied wall charger? I started using the HTC charger only recently (was using my old BlackBerry charger just because I was lazy and didn't want to switch them out on my nightstand), and the other morning my phone was stone dead. No orange notification LED, nothing. I thought I had simply lost my original 1620mAh battery, even though I have only used it about 10% of the time I've had my phone (I put a HTC extended battery on it in the first week, only recently switched back to the slim battery so I could bundle the phone with a headphone amp). I put the extended battery on it yesterday, and this morning the phone showed it was fully charged. I take it off the charger, and in a matter of moments I get a message something to the effect of "your phone is using more current than the charger can provide... please close unnecessary applications". Also, the battery indicator is still showing it's connected to the charger when it's not. I pulled the battery, reinserted, then my previously "fully charged" battery now shows in the red and "less than 3% charge". WTH?
In my panic yesterday, I already ordered 2 new HTC 1620mAh batteries, though my original one now seems to be coming back to life on a Motorola charger. May not be anything wrong with it after all.
Sorry for the long-winded and wordy post... But, has anybody else experienced this wackiness??
On edit: I forgot I replaced the BlackBerry charger on my nightstand with a Motorola charger, and that's what's charging the phone, now.
Basically, throw away the blackberry and motorola charger. The Rezound charger is rated at 1 amp, which is enough to charge and run the device at the same time. Any less, and you need to shut the phone off to charge. Most cellphone chargers are rated around 700 ma or less, which isn't enough to charge while the phone is on. Use the stock charger.

I think you missed the point of my post... I didn't start having problems until I started using the HTC charger! The phone charges/operates perfectly on the Motorola and BlackBerry chargers.

Stock battery?
The other chargers may have damaged your battery. You might need a new one.

I've been using the HTC charger for about 1 month, now. Problem first arose while using the stock 1620mAh battery, and when it went totally dead on the HTC charger yesterday morning, I put the extended battery back in. HTC charger did not properly charge the battery last night, so I'm back to using the Motorola charger (which is 850mAh, BTW). It's charging my extended battery just fine, and it even revived my previously dead 1620mAh battery, which the HTC charger killed.
There's nothing to suggest my oem HTC batteries are damaged in any way.
It's hard to believe that the charger would be defective. But, it might just be worth it to get a 1 amp charger online incase you need to use and charge at the same time. The 1 amp will also charge faster.
Yeah, I rarely ever have a need to charge my phone while simultaneously using it. My issues arose during typical overnight charging (phone on, but no usage). On rare occasions I may have need to plug it in while in my truck, and I've never had any issues with the car charger.

Moti charges at 0.85 amps so it works fine, my phone works with it. My HTC one killed my two long usb cables.

Even if you aren't using it, it is still pulling for radios, and other junk that runs. You should shut your phone off at night while it charges. And it is good for it to shut off, clears memory and keeps your phone running smoothly.
My charger actually just went bad on me. I would get that voltage warning so I thought it was either the phone or battery but after trying a different cable everything is fine.

Hello guys... I'm having a major problem with my battery not taking a charge or just being stubborn.
I used multiple chargers and the phone refuses to charge. It discharges even though it says it's charging and it mounts via USB with no issues and data transfer is faster than ever. I have the OEM stock and the Laza extended battery but the Laza takes much too long and the stock battery won't come back at all because the charger kills it...
This started when I left my extended battery on the charger overnight and it was at maybe 30%. I woke up and it was dead; it wasn't responding to anything unless I pulled the battery and it gave me the blinking orange LED. Any ideas?

Have the same issue. I believe my USB port is coming loose from the board and needs repair or replacement. I tried physically bending bits of the port with the battery removed to mixed success short-term, but now I have trouble just getting data to connect over the cable. Could try to work around the issue by buying a couple of wall chargers for just the battery pack, then circulate between two or three batteries through the day. Used Battery Monitor Widget app to see my device can eat 500 to 1,000 mA an hour, so I got two 500 mAh chargers and spare batteries to keep pace with max drain rate.
Okay, thanks for the recommendation! My Droid MAXX has arrived but my battery is actually doing pretty well right now. It decided to charge overnight but still no luck with the stock. But I still want to use this phone to test ROMs, and it's difficult to do so with the discharged battery. Anyways thanks a lot, I will look into this. Or maybe I could buy another Rezound for cheap or a Thunderbolt (if it works).
I have had my g3 for about 2 months now and the last 2 days i realise that it barely charges. I usually leave my phone overnight and its always at 100% in the morning but 2 days ago i plugged it in at about 15% at 12am and by 9am it was only at 54%. I thought it was really strange but didnt think much of it i took out the battery put it back in and put it to charge again. In 3 hours it was only at 70%. I realised there was something wrong but i couldnt figure out what was causing the problem so i let the battery emptey and tried charging again. Again the charging was extremley slow. So i took my friends charger and it was full in an hour or so. This was a relif knowing it wasent my phone that was the problem. So i decided to see what the problem was i took his usb cable (which was also original) and plugged it into my charger and it charged quickly but when i plug in my cable its slow w even on his charger. Does anyone know whats going on?
I've never had good charging in this phone. Sometimes its super fast other times it barely charges if the screen is on. I have the damn thing plugged in and just saw it drop a percent. Charging port is to blame IMO. Its a piece of ****.
Had the same issue with my 4 months old LG G3. Different cables didn't make a change, original LG Charger was the problem - when charging on external battery it was always fast, when charging on my genuine Nvidia Shield charger it was always fast. So i decided to buy a different charger (i-tec USB Power Charger 2 Port) and also new cable (Wsken X-Cable) and no longer any problems...
I've had two phones now that died similar deaths and both had a pair of batteries and a wall charger. I'd pull the battery at the beginning of each day and put the fresh charged battery in. Both phones (S2 and an S4) just boot looped and got hot without anything further. Could the external charger and swapping the battery each day have hurt the phone? I did this because my first android phone had a bad usb port.
