Hello guys... I'm having a major problem with my battery not taking a charge or just being stubborn.
I used multiple chargers and the phone refuses to charge. It discharges even though it says it's charging and it mounts via USB with no issues and data transfer is faster than ever. I have the OEM stock and the Laza extended battery but the Laza takes much too long and the stock battery won't come back at all because the charger kills it...
This started when I left my extended battery on the charger overnight and it was at maybe 30%. I woke up and it was dead; it wasn't responding to anything unless I pulled the battery and it gave me the blinking orange LED. Any ideas?

Have the same issue. I believe my USB port is coming loose from the board and needs repair or replacement. I tried physically bending bits of the port with the battery removed to mixed success short-term, but now I have trouble just getting data to connect over the cable. Could try to work around the issue by buying a couple of wall chargers for just the battery pack, then circulate between two or three batteries through the day. Used Battery Monitor Widget app to see my device can eat 500 to 1,000 mA an hour, so I got two 500 mAh chargers and spare batteries to keep pace with max drain rate.
Okay, thanks for the recommendation! My Droid MAXX has arrived but my battery is actually doing pretty well right now. It decided to charge overnight but still no luck with the stock. But I still want to use this phone to test ROMs, and it's difficult to do so with the discharged battery. Anyways thanks a lot, I will look into this. Or maybe I could buy another Rezound for cheap or a Thunderbolt (if it works).

For the past couple of days, my phone's battery life has been pathetic. I kept it in my pocket for around 7 hours, and when I checked it, the battery almost completely out of juice.

Likewise, there seems to be little capable besides having a charger around, or maybe an extended battery. I put my charger in my pocket because I have access to an outlet or PC (for USB charger) almost always.
I also usually have my car adapter, just in case. I still want an extended battery however. They give this thing NO juice for so much power

That is the link to the extended battery and cover that I use. It lasts a heck of a lot longer but with most extended batteries you have to give something to get something.
I recently bought a Seidio Innocell 1400 battery for my G1. For some reason, the battery won't charge while it's in the phone.
If I take it out of the phone and charge it in my desk cradle, it works just fine and fully charges in a few hours. It will easily last twice as long as my worn out original OEM battery, as long as I don't connect the phone to a charger.
Here's the weird part. Not only can I not charge the battery while it's in the phone, but it actually drains significantly faster when I connect the charger. Without the charger connected, it will last me all day with moderate use. If the charger is connected when this battery is in the phone, it will drain the battery from a full charge to the point where the phone shuts off in a little more than an hour. I don't know how this is even possible.
My phone works and charges just fine with my OEM battery installed. I've tried several different chargers, which all work when I'm using the oem battery and had the same results, so I know the charger isn't the problem. I had the same problem with the Andida batteries a while back, but figured they were just defective when I saw that everyone else was having problems with them too. Does anyone have any ideas, or did I just get another defective battery?
I have an "Andida" from ebay that does this. I got a partial refund from the seller. I think the overcharge protection circuit is flaky when this happens. Try to get a refund or replacement from the seller.
Got my second Prime, after having to send back the first one. But this time the charger was defective. I have been able to charge it a bit by using the USB on the PC, so-called trickle charge, but I did not charge it properly before first time use (the eight hours recommended). The tablet was slightly used, slightly charged, slightly used and charged to exactly 100% through computer's USB. The dock won't trickle charge at all and has now 0% power.
I can send in the charger back and receive a new, but this will take one to two weeks. So I won't be able to charge the dock at all in a couple of weeks and it will be stored with 0 % battery power. The tablet would have to do with the trickle charge.
I then wonder how damaging this could be the battery? I do not want to take any chances and end up with a crappy battery after a year or two. I have read a lot on the internet, but people are very inconsistent about whether a Li-ion battery will be damaged without proper first time charging or not, and lying around for a couple of weeks with zero battery power.

Before sending the charger in try putting in a plastic bag and place it in the freezer for about 20 minutes. Get as much air out of the bag as possible. It could be the chargers safety has been tripped and its stuck.
they recommended the battery be fully charged up when first recieced. they say 8hrs. but that's way too long. only takes about 2 hrs. for battery to fully charge through its power plug. once fully charged battery will need To go through a few complete cycles(from 100% to 0% or close) before the battery is properly calibrated and optimized.
I wouldn't think trickle charging the prime will hurt anything as long as you still going through cycles. if you only can trickle charge right now, might be best not to let prime go completely dead. just charge once its low or whenever not in use. how long did it take to charge battery completely up through trickle charge?
As far as I know trickle charge is even better for Lithium batteries, and provides longer battery times and less wear-and-tear on the battery.
Tried the freezer. It would charge for a couple of minutes, then stop again. But it gets pretty hot, so I would thinks it's overheating.
Don't know how long the trickle charge takes. I charged it for maybe four hours from 60 %, but don't know when the charge was complete.
And as I said, I used the prime for a bit, turning it on and off, tryinging to get the charging to work. I first charged it completely after 2 days. And the dock got dischared at once since connected it to the tablet at once, and left it for 8 hours because I thought it was charging. Haven't been able to charge the dock since...
Trickle charging is actually better for your devices than charging with a rapid charger. It both prolongs the overall life of the battery and can lead to "deeper" charging where the batter actually ends up with a slightly higher stored charge which would give you slightly longer battery life.
As for the charger, if you live near an OfficeDepot they might have some in-store so you can pick up a replacement for around $30. You can also get them online from the OfficeDepot website: http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/768723/ASUS-Power-Adapter-For-Eee-Pad/
Even if you get your charger back from RMA, it is good to have a spare charger lying around!
Just gonna review some of the accessories I have used and what i think about 'em
First up is the 3500mAH extended battery by HHI
This battery came in at a cost of $9.99 with free Shipping! It showed up with an 80% charge which is in the acceptable range of where they like to sit. The battery performs just as one would expect it too. I am currently running MeanRom, and can easily get 16-20 hours of use with some really heavy gaming. However I recently went on a vacation and wanted to run the battery through a couple different variations of "discharging". So with the phone in Airplane mode(no radios connected) and very little use i easily can get a week out of the phone without charging. Again this is without any radios on, not connecting to anything.The stock battery cant touch these numbers. i would be lucky to get a full day out of the stock battery with no gaming and normal use.I didn't do a sticker pull to run the numbers. So I'm taking HHI's word on the 3500mAH being just that.
To conclude on this battery the $10 investment turned out to be a good choice, although it might not be a seidio or something it does more than i expected it to do. I will continue to use this battery till I get rid of the phone. The battery can be found here.

I also bought some of the Galilio "2000mAH" batteries, I got 3 of them with a wall charger for $13.99 on ebay, as reviewed by many others.
This is my experience with them. So they showed up in the mail and upon opening them i discovered one of the batteries look like it got dropped or skipped accross the cement, im not sure what happened, but who is gonna put a messed up battery in their phone.. So i really only got 2 batteries. I brought it up to the seller he offered me $3.00 back, it wasn't worth my time even dealing with that any further at this point. Anyways the batteries Are nice little backup batteries i take with me on trips.They make for easy backup batteries. The batteries have been suspected to be somewhere along the lines of 1000-1200mAH. I would have to agree, even with no testing with any type of tool, besides my phone. They last a most couple of hours. The wall charger that came with them actually surprised me. Everyone was reporting that it may overcharge your stock battery, which can cause some issues. This charger(as pictured below) will charge the Galilio batteries to 100% with no problems. I put my stock HTC battery into the wall charger and with repeated attempts the charger will not charge the battery past 85% even when i left it on the wall charger for 2 days. I do believe that the stock HtC charger that came with the phone gives the batteries a "better" charge, but the wall charger seems to not charge the batteries past a safe range as everyone seems to be reporting as a possible issue. My issue is it doesn't charge it well enough.

The 85% is charge limit is what a cheap charger do,
The "charger" that come with the phone is simply a power supply, the charging circuit is actually "built in" to the phone. You can connect the OEM HTC charger/power supply into one of those cheap aftermarket dock that charge a 2nd battery and it will never charge the battery past 85% either.
To make it short and sweet
There's 2 stage of Li-ion charging
1) charge to 4.2v at constant current which is 85% when it first reach/near 4.2v
2) saturation charge, once the battery reach 4.2v, continue charging but at gradually reducing current until it reach about 3% of default charge current
Cheap charger have a simple/cheap circuit and cannot do stage 2 charging, where the charging circuit built into each phone would do stage 2 charging

i am havin HTC AMAZE 4G
when i used to charge it before
phone used to come to 90% from a full in approximately 1 hour.
now it comes very quickly like 10-15 minutes
& also the major problem is my phone gets switched off at any battery percentage like 65% & when it gets restarted it comes to around 8% or sometimes even 4%.
if i pull out battery again restart the phone then sometimes it comes to around 30% back or any random increase in battery or sometimes even decreases to 4% & then the battery gets drained in 5 minutes & i have charge it again
battery takes more time to even charge
sometimes using DATA & charging it even takes 10 hours to charge
i dont know what is the problem
i have been thinking about battery problems
but i googled & in some blogs it shows as circuit problems too
the problem is i am living in INDIA
this phone is not official here so the service center guy wont touch it & i dont want to waste money on the battery if it isnt the problem

How old is your handset? Battery life decline is normal as it ages. Without being able to inspect and test yours out all I can tell you is the most likely explanation for what you're describing is battery wear.
The original HTC battery that came with my phone only holds 2/3 of the charge it once had when new, which is why I invested in a pair of Anker batteries and an external charging station (I purchased them together in a package on eBay for under $30 US shipped). Having the extra batteries has been an excellent addition. I alternate them every few days to more evenly balance how they are wearing and to prolong the remaining life of my original battery. Plus it's great to have an extra battery to use for those times when I really need my device, but don't have the ability to plug in.

It showed 56% in my fathers phone
Wen i switched the battery &; started my phone it showed 15% at start
So what could be the problem then?

You're getting the different results because the batteries aren't calibrated to each phone. If you put your fully charged battery in your father's phone it shows 56%, correct? What happens when you put your father's fully charged battery in your phone? Keep in mind that when switching around the batteries neither with be calibrated to the device, but will instead show a percentage vs the battery that was properly calibrated.
Example: the battery in my phone shows as fully charged, but is worn and no longer charges to the maximum. If I place it in my brother's Evo 3D which uses the same size battery but is newer. It will show as only partially charged because his device is calibrated to his newer stronger battery. Conversely, if I put his newer battery in my phone which has been calibrated to my older worn battery it will appear to be fully or nearly fully charged for a long time before it begins to show it's draining with use.
The only way to properly test your battery would be to either try a known stronger one in yours for several charge - discharge cycles as your phone calibrates to it, or to try your battery in another device for several such cycles. Then you need to compare if there was an improvement in up-time or not. Short of taking it in to be checked on diagnostic equipment it's the best method I can think of.

Maybe you just need to wipe battery stats. One trick that works is let it drain completly and let it be drain over night and charge it again keep doing a couple of days it may just get better. But think is just battery problem not hardware related.
My Original HTC battery worked its way down to 2 hours of usable talk time. Eventually, got so bad that it barely charged on anything but a high current wall charger. Technically it was under warranty at the time...
Ordered 2 Anker Batteries w/ charger for $30, and not long after that the charger broke. It quit charging batteries.
I then just stuck with one Anker battery in my phone and the other as backup. The battery I used the most is now down to about 4 hours of life on a full charge. The least used is about 8. I try to keep the worse one charged up as a backup in a pinch and now use the good battery full time.
Just how life goes sometimes...

Yeah that Anker charger is the weak-spot in that 2 battery package deal. The damn thing is flimsy and fragile. I'm so paranoid about breaking it I treat it with kid gloves. The batteries are pretty good though. The package was one of the best investments I made since owning the Amaze. Using indelible marker I labeled them 1 and 2, and rotate their usage with my original HTC (which is easy to distinguish). This way when I'm on the road I always have one fully charged spare handy, one charging at home, and one in my handset.

But When I was using official ICS from T-mobile, I had the same problem, even after wiping. I even faced a funny thing. Percentage of battery in bar was different from percentage shown in lock screen!!!
After flashing custom rom, All problems GONE!
