Recently I got myself an HTC One from a local store. I unlocked the bootloader and rooted the phone following simple method. For some reason TWRP recovery does not work on my phone but clockworkmod works, but not touch. Anyway as I found out that the Latest OTA update is available so I relocked the boot loader and started downloading the update on the phone, but after the download the phone restarts and goes into bootloader instead of starting update. Then I downloaded the stock OTA and tried installing it but it gets stuck on "Installing bug_fix1. I waited for over an hour in this stage but nothing happens? Need a bit of help. Hello everyone! I recently bought a black 32GB HTC One through AT&T. I immediately set to unlocking/rooting/installing a custom recovery. I even used Rumrunner to gain S-OFF. Everything is running fine on my Google Play Edition 4.4.2 ROM. However, my problem is that flashing a CM11-based ROM yields a nonworking camera. It simply reads 'Cannot connect to the camera.' I've tried this on three different ROMs on both the latest TWRP and CWM. I even updated my firmware to the latest Kitkat-based version. Could anyone tell me what I should try now?
I take it that my situation must be rather unique.

So i have my htc one (m7), and i was trying to get it back to stock htc sense, because is was on cyanogenmod and i didn't really like it. i have used the tutorial from htc-one.wonderhowto .com ... I followed all the steps (relocked bootloader and downloaded HTC program), but the RUU wasn't compatible, i didn't know that at the time. So I was searching for another RUU, but I coudn't find a one to fit my device.

As you can see, i currently have s-on, and i can't find a proper RUU. So i tryed if there was a way to set my s-on to s-off. but i can't do that with rumrunner, since i am not able to uncheck *fastboot* in android settings, because i can't boot. Note: i have Clockworkmod Recovery installed. I live in the Netherlands.
Can anyone help me with this? i'm new to all this info so i dont know if there is an other way to simply install the stock htc rom.

After around with my phone for many hours attempting to flash the latest android I have managed to break my WiFi, as I can no longer turn it on. I believe this is due to flashing an incorrect firmware file but I am not sure.
Currently I am running Android Revolution HD 30.1 but I also had the same problems with 4.X roms as well. My recovery image is: openrecovery-twrp-2.8.4.0. I was previously on 4.4.3 stock image which was rooted.

I read in multiple places that you need firmware 4.16.401.9 for htc sense lollipop. For now try to use CM12 and see if your wifi works that way. If so then it is just a matter waiting for a signed firmware to get it to work with sense lollipop.

With much help from this forum and others, I unlocked, rooted and modified my One M8 to be running Lollipop from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2706441 from Graffixnyc.
Then I recently got notification of OTA update. Tried to install, no dice. Much research later - figured it to be wrong recovery.
Flashed this recovery image: recovery_4.16.401.10.img https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934519070
OK, now I get a status 7 error with the following message:

I have a bone stock M8 on Marshmallow. It suddenly started having com.htc.contacts errors and the phone becomes unavailable. I've done multiple recoveries, resets and cache clearing. Sometimes it comes back for awhile but soon eras out. I chatted with HTC support and they suggested reloading the rom so I downloaded the AT&T version and did all the steps per the instructions and started the update. It gets stuck on the "sending" stage and never completes. Reading the forum I saw Sync Manager can be a blocker so I didn't do it through that but no go. Am I missing something? Thanks I searched but didn't find this.
I assume you actually have the AT&T version M8?
If so, RUU stuck "sending" is common. You may need to find a Win7 PC with USB 2.0, which has the best chance of compatibility.
