[Q] Revert Back From GE RUU - AT&T HTC One (M7)

I installed the google edition ruu from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2358781&highlight=receive+ota
Before I flashed the ruu I had S-Off with the updated 1.44 (Jul 5.) HBOOT.
Since I am S-Off, could I flash the RUU from HTC's website (Latest with 1.55) then proceed to install any sense rom (Viperone for example)?
Or do I need to flash the older 1.44 HBOOT RUU? (If so, is there a link to that?)
Lastly was there a TP update that makes touch unresponsive on AOSP roms with the latest RUU?
Thank You,
GalaxyUser50

evo 3d cdma RUU

hello all
my phone is bugging out and some one suggested to flash the latest RUU.
- quick question.
---if i flash the latest RUU will i loose root?
Yes you will lose root.
thank you.
Quick question ............
-how can i flash a RUU that has the Hboot of 1.4 instead of a 1.5.
(can some one please help me my phone randomly reboots on any rom, i was recommended to flash a RUU and then unlock again)
If your current HBoot is 1.50 with S-ON you can't downgrade the Hboot, at all. You won't be able to flash a lower Firmware/baseband than what's currently installed either, but you can reflash the RUU for what's installed or a newer one.
If you have HTC Unlocked HBoot 1.50 and S-ON, you can get more info that may help you in the Guide/Flashing notes in my signature.
Edit: Saw your question in the other section that you have Hboot 1.40. Disregard

[Q] Problem with Installing Jelly Bean ROM

Just wanted to see if anyone else is having this issue installing a Jelly Bean ROM. Just for background info, I have hboot 1.50, the 2.89 firmware, and the phone is s-off and unlocked. Whenever I install a Jelly Bean ROM I get a boot loop at the HTC screen. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I may possibly fix this? I want my JB fix!
I know people say hboot 1.5 works, but people tend to have better luck with hboot 1.04 or 1.4.
If that doesn't work, which it didn't for me when I had the same issue, try the ruu.exe. You'll remain s-off, but completely stock. Then flash hboot above, 4ext recovery, then Rom.

Which RUU? The 2.89 version? I don't care about being stock since I can always flash a new ROM after. I gotta look around for the hboot 1.40. Thanks for the info.

Here's a guide that you will find useful. I'm just providing this for you because it has a link to the ruu exe you need and links to hboot versions

[Q] Should I update my HTC One X's HBOOT from 1.12 to 1.39?

So, I'm trying to run TripNDroid ROM (check here), but currently that ROM on 4.2.1 doesn't support my HBOOT, 1.12.
I checked me CID, which is HTC_304, and I see it is compatible with HBOOT 1.39.
Now, I read somewhere that if I update to a more recent HBOOT I might not be able to flash some ROMs only compatible with older HBOOTs. So, should I update my HBOOT or not? If so, how?
Also, is it normal for a certain rom to be flashable on my HBOOT but not another, even though both are same OS (4.2.1)?

S-OFF with 3.16 / Thanks Unlimited.io Devs!

Did you have to downgrade to 3.15 software version since 3.16 RUU isn't available? And after downgrading, which TWRP version did you use for recovery?

I will give you the process that worked for me and spare you all of the trial and error
what problem I had was I s-on unlocked and installed 3.15 RUU and updated to 3.16 with the OTA. This left me in a pickle because s-on wouldn't allow me to revert to 3.15 so dirtyracun would work. Now that they updated dirtyracun it works! THANKS DEVS! you rock
I unlocked/s-on and installed twrp 2.4 (inportant if you want to update firmware)
Then I followed the instructions for installing babyracun on ulimited.io
I am running HBOOT 2.09 so I downloaded the appropriate RUU from unlimted.io (3.15 RUU)
then I relocked and flashed the RUU per unlimited.io instructions.
Then I follow the instructions for running dirtyracun
Basically the babyracun isntructions allow you to flash the 3.15 RUU and install DirtyRacun.
I then was able to flash the newest firmware and reinstall my favorite ROM Meanbean (props to MikeyXDA) and flash firmware with S-OFF
Hope this helps

[Q] ATT HTC ONE touch screen doesn't work on stock rom

I upgrade to latest firmware and hboot for the international 4.2.2 ROM. Everything works fine.
Now, the OTA arrived and in order to apply OTA for enabling new LTE band, I need to go back to stock. So, i download the stock ROM and flash. After boot up, touch screen doesn't work.
I tried to revert it back to 1.4.4 hboot/firmware (not AT&T i think). Still doesn't work. Anyone know where I can get the stock firmware and applied? Try to avoid the full RUU if possible.
Thanks.
I haven't seen anyone post a AT&T firmware flashable zip. Most likely they stayed on stock firmware that came with the phone, like me, or they updated to 2.24 firmware.
RUU might be your only choice. But in order to RUU, you need the 1.44 HBOOT. If you're S-OFF, flash the 1.44 HBOOT first then run the RUU. If you're S-ON, you're stuck. RUU won't run because it can't bypass the security check of S-ON.

You are right. I have to use RUU to roll back to stock. At least, I got S-OFF to get back. Now, when checking update, didn't give me anything yet.
