UPDATE DEC 2 2013: GPS results - Damn Amazing see below
Simply put this is this greatest thing since sliced bread! The whole package is solid and feels super sturdy. I saw on their Facebook Page that other zerolemon rugged cases are too slippery but they added a rougher texture in this time.
Let’s talk about….. Packaging
It comes with:
1) The 10000mAh Battery (of course)
2) The Rugged Case
3) A Holster that serves as a kickstand for your video needs
4) A backplate
5) An Introductory Card
6) An Instruction Manual
All in a neat aluminum foil bag that came along with it.
Let’s talk about…… Size
This as expected is pretty big no doubt at 155x88x19.2mm. The total weight of phone + case + battery is at 340g which can be hefty for some people but ok for me. I prefer to hold something more sturdy.
Let’s talk about…… Battery Performance
The performance on this battery is absolutely mindblowing. This is my first zerolemon and definitely won’t be the last one.
I put the battery into a loop test with mx player cycling a 1080p clip at 30% brightness just for kicks and the phone literally went on for 2 DAYS without stopping. Here are some results to show the prowess of this battery pack.
Anyways, I’m bringing this up for a drive from Florida to Missouri so let’s see how this goes. I’ll post more practical real use stats once I get more out of this battery
I tried using the NFC on my friend’s Galaxy S4 phone and works perfectly. Just a slight tap on the back of the phone
Let’s talk about…… Case
The case is a hard plastic + soft shell design case. The type that you see typically Otterbox’s making. Not only zerolemon is good at making battery but they are damn good in making cases too. The rugged case on first sight feels very sturdy without the armor styling that you see with other brands like ballistics. It looks very subtle but definitely can tell it will take some major impact if necessary. The case side has dotted pattern for easier grip and makes it very hard to slide off your hands.
The case jack covers are securely in place and buttons are easy to press (get that nice feedback). All the microphone and speaker holes are well aligned.
The case also comes with a screen protector which you can easily take off if need to. I kept mine on and it does a pretty decent job.
Since this is a rugged case, it is built to drop (especially necessary when you have a 340g phone). The case’s corner are raised which helps impact absorption. I haven’t drop my phone yet (pray that won’t happen) but if ever did, this case will definitely save its behind if it ever happens.
Installation was a breeze with the instruction manual. Just need to take off the soft shell first then the hard plastic, then slip the phone inside and shut the PC. Slip the battery at the back and the soft shell then you are ready to go.
It also comes with a backplate for those regular batteries. Quite a nice touch for times I don’t need to carry at 10000mAh battery but still want the rugged protection. It’s also easier to access the microSD and sim card slot now with the backplate easily remove after you take out the soft shell
Camera and flash still works like a charm. The case hasn’t affect these functions at all.
Let’s talk about…… Holster
OK. I know some people may think why they add a holster (so 1990s) but in fact it is more useful than I originally thought it will be
It acts both a holster and as a kickstand. There are different standing angle that makes the phone easy to have various angles.
I don’t use a belt so the belt clip function serves differently for me. I hook this holster up to my messenger bag strap and it fits perfectly! The phone can be inserted to the holster with screen facing inside. That protects it from external damage to screen.
Let’s talk about…… Price
I got this for $59.99 on Amazon. I compared around other solution and there’s no brand that has this extended battery + rugged case combo. It also cost as much as an Otterbox (which is also 59.99 on Amazon) which makes me think this is an absolutely great deal when you get a battery with a rugged case just as, if not, better than Otterbox’s. Mugen has a Note 3 battery for 98.50 dollars with 60% of the capacity which is a total ripoff compare to this set.
Conclusion: 9 /10
The whole package feels so solid it’s quite incredible how low of a price it is asking for that is almost unbelievable. Adding up a Mugen with otterbox will end up to be around 160 dollars plus needing to dremel the otterbox case to make the mugen battery fit (which is also smaller capacity).
The Battery is definitely unbelievable as results shows and the case is just top notch. The only thing I don’t like so much is the weight but if you have so much good stuff in one package, guess it has to go somewhere
Really good stuff Zerolemon!

Astonishing Battery Life
GPS results:
I'm using Google Map for a roadtrip from East Coast to West. Barely any stops in between and phone act as our GPS unit.
The results are truly increditble. At 30% brightness we lass through 1 day and 18 hours of GPS. That's just insanely long. I took this at 12% battery left. It can surely go on for much longer!
This could very well be the world's longest lasting battery for any smartphone!

Wow. Amazing job. Thanks

Holy crap haha, ordering, i was waiting for a review like this! Thank you!

Can the plastic clear screen be removed or is it part of the case?
Edit: I was soo excited seeing the pics, I didn't even read your review. My bad! Yes, the plastic screen can be removed.

Amazing review! I am also wondering can the screen protector be removed? Or can I use it in conjoin with another screen protector already on my phone?

THANK YOU!!!!!
Just ordered!! Great reviews and pics!!!!!:good:

Many thanks to you ServerBob! Great review
I only miss a picture of the Note 3 + Rugged case compared to a normal note 3
Can't wait to get mine
Could you keep us up to date. I heard the case discolors after a while, and attracts a lot of dirt into corners

the samsung logo on the front side is half covered by the frame...

Great review man!

Great review. I ordered this blind. Now I know what i'll be getting and I can't wait. I was wondering if you noticed any weakening of cell or wifi connections? I had a ZL for my s3 and that was a (slight) issue

Are you running any heavy background apps? Like...me lol

Taurus bumper case + Extended 3500mah Battery

There's alot of photos, I know. But every question you've had about a Galaxy S II with an extended battery in combination with a Taurus bumper case is answered........ hopefully.
Ebay comes through for me!
On the same day I got the Taurus Aluminum bumper case and 3500mah extended battery!
Yes, the Taurus case was listed for the international version, but it fits the ATT SGH-I777 model.
Without any foam tape the phone wiggles a little bit (perfect!) though a little tight on the thickness, but it still fits. I hope to find a thin piece of silicone I can run around the edges before I screw the top on and leave it on.
*Update*
After applying the Ghost armor screen protector and sides, there is no longer any 'wiggle room'. Most likely I will use my dremel tool to widen out the case just a little. I don't want the shock from it getting dropped to go straight to the phone's frame. That plus the silicone layer I want to put between the two pieces of the Taurus case should turn this case into one of the better protection cases available for a phone using an extended battery door.
Unexpected good news about the Ghost Armor! It came with a small piece just for the lens glass. Nice to know that if I took everything off the phone, the glass for the lens would still be protected.
*
In preparation for getting this case I ordered from Ghost Armor screen protectors for the front and sides. It works out that it covers everything but the battery door. So everywhere the case touches is covered by a screen protector that has a lifetime warranty on tears and holes. Phone should be protected no problem. Even if it does cause wear after awhile, I can go into a Ghost Armor retail shop and have it replaced on the spot. After 20% discount code I found online it only cost $13.
And the biggest worry I had, will the extended battery door fit?
Fits and fits tight.
You got to work of to get it off. And looks beautiful with the Taurus case on. (Ok not beautiful, it is a big hump on the back) But the frame of the case helps blend it, not a lot, but helps non-the-less.
*Update*
Noticed that with the Taurus case on it it's next to impossible to get the extended battery door off. With the raised back it puts the slot for your fingernail to pop it off too low and the case comes up next to it. Stock battery door can be pulled off easily.
*
Wait, 3500mah battery for the ATT version?
Nope. The international I9100.
Well, but I've read you can't charge it using the phone.
Charges great.
Maybe the nonstop reboots was talking about plugging the USB into a PC?
Flashed using Odin with the extended battery in it!(ok that was dumb, but I forgot the battery was in and rumored(or certain ones actually did)have nonstop reboot loops when plugged in) I was high on seeing my phone could charge it and threw caution to the wind.
The phone charges it no matter if it's:
on, with screen on or off.
off and only displays the charging battery image.
plugged into a computer.
The only downside is the wall charger they included cannot charge the extended battery. The contacts are on the wrong side. Stock battery can charge because you can flip it backwards and the contacts can then line up. But the extended battery is too thick. Yes ironic, but really annoying. At least for now my phone seems to be able to charge the battey.
Here's what photos I do have.
What most people are looking for when they view this thread:
(Don't make fun of the quality of these first few photos, they were taken by an Atrix and it was trying as hard as it can, but 5mp is 5mp

Trying to show thickness of case and battery door:
(usb cord used for easy reference)
These next one shows the extended battery door is just over the thickness of the metal part of the usb cord past the Taurus case:
And this next two show the extended battery door is just under the thickness of the metal part of a usb cord compared to the bump at the bottom of the case:
While it may look like the battery door is a huge bump, and by itself it is, holding an Atrix up next to it, and it has no case save for a layer of carbon fiber Ghost Armor, the Atrix with no case is nearly as thick as the Galaxy S II *with* the Taurus Case, at the thickest point of the Taurus Case. With a normal case the Atrix would very likely be as thick as the Galaxy S II *with* the extended battery door:
(Taken with the Asus Transformer, apparently worse than the Atrix for close ups)
Photo of everything but my phone:
Charger and back covers
Taurus Case
Noticed near a couple screw holes what looked like yellow paint(something) showing through - hope that's not what it is:
Extended Battery
Why included charger can't charge extended battery
Difference between extended battery and stock battery
Depending on response I'll video review it and post it on YouTube and report back here about it.

Could you post photos of the case on the phone? I also ordered this bumper but the estimated delivery date is between November 4th and 18th. When did you place the order and when did you receive the case? Getting a bit antsy
I paid for it Oct 12. Expected shipping put it at Nov 15. Apparently delivery was attempted Fri 21 but I wasn't home and it required a signature. And the whole time in transit the tracking number didn't give any updates, just saying that it was accepted by the korean postal system. I'll get some photos uploaded sometime tonight.

Photos have been uploaded of the phone in the case with the extended battery door in place. Wow it's become one long first post.
Definitely can tell which photos were taken with the Galaxy S II. Turned out so good.

Thank you sir!, video would be awesome!
Just woke up(ish) and it made it through the night without one self boot much less a boot loop. Turned phone on and am typing this with the usb cord still plugged in, no bootloop.
Definitely seen it has a higher capacity. Went to bed last night with only 15% left from the stock charge. Took about 1 1/2hr of YouTube with bluetooth left on to kill it. That's nice and all but I was tired and really wanted to go to bed.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using XDA App
So far it seems, at least for the first day, the capacity is double. Usually the phone would die around 10 hours after being unplugged, but it seems like it's going to be around 20 hours.
I don't know why it says it's only been going for less than 4 hours. It's been unplugged since about 8:30 am, it's been roughly 7 1/2 hours, and the battery is at 85%.
(though I have left contacts, gmail, and calendar sync on, normally it's off)
*Update*
Just realized that since I had my phone replaced yesterday (10/24) full bloatware has been running, none of it has been frozen with titanium backup.
*
Wonder what it will be after flashing Entropy512's kernel. That'll have to wait till the battery has died a couple times so I have an idea what battery life is with everything stock.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using XDA App
Man I'm loving this battery! I can use it so much ALL DAY!
Currently at *57%*! and it's been almost exactly 12 hours since I pulled it off the charger. Gps, Pandora, light gaming, number of phone calls and texts. The pictures speak for themselves.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using XDA App
Thanks for the pics and all the info
Any new updates. How has the battery been performing, have you experienced any boot loops since you last posted...
Been amazing like you wouldn't believe! Zero bootloops, zero incomplete charges.
Usually unplugged at 9am and near dead around 1am with heavy use. 16 hours baby!
Got pulled off the charger today at 8am.
I get around 5 hours screen time per day with heavy use and Pandora usually in the background for about an hour, usually I use my phone more than any of my computers. And usually some higher drain programs. As you can see hanging with friends has been getting used all day, give me a break it's the weekend.
Currently stock deodexed, entropy512's dd kernel, and setcpu undervolted on each frequency up to 1.2ghz.
When I get some time I'm planning on going through some of the i9100's roms to see what battery life I can get.

The makers of Zero Lemon batteries have created a masterpiece for the Note 3! This case is not for the faint of heart as it is a bigger case but the sacrifice is 100% worth it in my eyes. There are both good and bad things to say about this case but mostly good! This review is going to cover all the important factors you would look for in a case review and Hopefully clarify all questions that you have. So with that let us get stared, up first is dimensions!

*This case boasts a whopping 157mm x 88mm x 20mm/6.18" x 3.46" x 0.79 (that is height, width, and depth in that order). As compared to the Note 3 without a case being 151.13mm x 79.248mm x 8.382mm/5.95” x 3.12” x 0.33. As you can see this case adds 0.46 of an inch to your phone, which is defiantly a big difference. Even though the case does add all that extra depth to your phone it is still usable and fits fairly comfortable in my hands (I have bigger hands). For those of you concerned about weight it weighs about 12.5 ounces (phone weight + case) which to put into perspective grab a bottle of water, I used a 16oz bottle, and it weights slightly less than that but around there. **
Handling & Grip
*With the Zero Lemon case, I can still reach nearly all buttons but using two hands helps a lot. There is a dot pattern on the sides of this case, which is extremely helpful as it adds a ton of grip to the phone and makes it very hard for it to slip out of your hand. The TPU case is also a harder backing and feels very dense and protective. One thing that I was extremely worried about was that when I pulled this giant phone out of my pocket I would end up taking the whole pocket with me, but because of the smooth finish on the TPU case, that problem was avoided.
Look & Feel
*The look of this phone is rather big, bulky, and heavy. As those things are true it will still fit into your pocket/pocketbook and depending on how tight your jeans are it can create a bulge in your pocket. The Zero Lemon case does feel rather nice in my hands has a durable smooth plastic feeling to it, I actually do not mind the extra weight as it gives the phone a secure feel to it. I feel as though if I dropped this phone it would never get damaged due to how resilient and secure this case is.
Tabs & Cutouts & Buttons
*The tabs on this case are okay, not great in my opinion. First off, the tab for the S-Pen has two plastic connectors that go into the hard shell of the case to keep it closed but those connectors are very much in the way when trying to get to your S-Pen, Which I use constantly. Those connectors do a good job at keeping the tab closed but are very annoying when trying to get the pen out. The Tab for the charging port can be annoying to open up but it does its job especially considering you will not be using it that often J(Remember this tab needs to be pushed all the way in, as it does not have connectors). The Tab for the headphone jack is also pretty easy to open and close, it also needs to be pushed in when not in use, and most headphones will fit If your headphones happen not to fit you can always buy a 3.5mm mini-jack adaptor.
*The Zero Lemon case has accounted for all the holes in your Note 3. They have implemented cutouts for the microphone, speaker, and all the other cutouts. I have not had any problems with people not being able to hear me or sound quality from the speaker. The buttons for the power button and the volume rockers are okay. I do like the volume rocker buttons as they have that satisfying click to them and are rather large. The power button however is very stiff for me and can take 1 to 3 pushes to get it to go. The Cutout for the camera is good you can still take pictures and the flash works great and does not bounce back due to the cutout.
Performance
I have not had the case very long only a little over a week but that first week I went 4 days without charging ( I tend to use my phone for only texting calling and email checking I also have it rooted running BajaRom 10.0 with greenify).*Other users have reported anywhere from 2 to even 7 days on a single charge. The performance of the battery really depends on how heavily you use your phone. As I continue to use this case, I will add more information on my performance with the battery and screenshots of battery times.
Accessories
The Zero Lemon case comes with a cleaning cloth, built in screen protector and a belt clip, which doubles as a kickstand. The belt clip is nice but considering the size of the case already plus what the belt clip adds, personally my friends and I think it just looks ridiculous. The screen protector is nice as it is built into the case already but it can easily*be taken out for an added tempered glass protector.*
*
Assembly
*This Case can be a little tricky the first time you put it on, I have seen people and reviewers online not know how to put it on right when doing unboxing reviews, so we will discuss that here. First off, you will want to pull the TPU case off the hard plastic body. This is where people tend to have trouble is separating the hard plastic case in half. A trick that I use is to get a butter knife or a regular knife and separate one of the hard clips on the side and then stick the knife in-between the gap that is formed thus keeping the gap and making it easier to un separate the rest of the clips. With the case unseparated turn off your Note 3 and pull the back covering off and take out the stock battery. The place the amazing extended battery and place the phone into the case making sure to conjoin the two pieces together. Then add the TPU case and charge it for 12 hours it does not matter if the phone is on or off for this 12 hour initial charge.
*Conclusion*********
***********In conclusion, this case is simply amazing! It Excells both at its battery performance and being a rugged tough case. If you are a hunter, go camping a lot, businessman, or just do not want to charge your phone every night then is case is a must! For only $60 youget both a rugged case and the extended battery and shipping for me on Amazon was about a 50 cent charge! So if your looking for an amazing phone case this is a great buy!

yeah haha. I'd like it, in the size of an original battery.
actually I've just added my email to be advised of the note 3 samsung official battries. will be interesting to see prices etc... and the QI pad wireless charger. I've never owned more than 1 factory provided battery or wireless charging. but I can see how they would be useful. espcially when traveling etc..

i think it would be nice to have wireless access to your sd card and download mode in addition to wireless charging. this would be complete freedom from wires.

It was pretty good for the Note 2, but I only used it for a week before it sat in my drawer. Too bulky and the case wasn't the prettiest. It did function well as a battery though, but that wasn't enough for me. I preferred the N2 $25.00 OEM extra battery and charger combo. It was all the power I needed throughout the day.
With that said, 10k is a ton of mah. That would get me through a week. I'll wait till release before I judge this model though. I hope they improve the cut and fit of the case so I won't mind sporting it.

Yea it was never my every day battery neither. Whenever I get an android phone, I always get 2 spare batteries like I did this time. Even tho with the Note 2 I really didn't need them but I like to take advantage of the removable battery, which a lot of phones from other manufacturers aren't doing anymore, n get some spare batteries. I might get the ZL extended battery depending on the price and thickness. Id also like to see how that heavh duty case looks like

SOB. I just bought the battery from that other thread, and now I see this. LOL I had the one for the Note 2. While I would actually prefer my Note 3 to have more thickness and weight than it does standard, the Note 2 version did wear on me. Yet, I am sure to get this one too and give it a shot. I love the battery life of the Note 2 version, especially since I switched ROMs. It lasts and lasts now!
The real problem for me is going to be the back cover. Its TPU plastic, which is really soft and rubbery.
If my phone feels like the back is just going to pop off with this cheap replacement there is no chance. Watch the video about the one for the Note II
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMtFAScoKuk
I had the ZL for the SGS3, and the TPU case was very solid. I used it many times when I travelled for short business or ski trips, and I was totally pleased. There was no sense, whatsoever, that the case was ever going to fall off.

Kickstand4u - does this work with Note 3?

It's a stand alone kickstand that you attach to the back of your phone. So you retain the looks of your phone without the bulk of a case.
Since the Note 3 is a big phone, I am wondering if the stand can hold the phone in PORTRAIT mode.

It looks like it'll work, but the note 3 is taller and heavier than most phone, so I need to check with those who have it.

Just quoting the bold part and comparing that to the ipad that is being used with the stand. from the picture, the ipad looks like it can stand pretty well considering it's two times larger and heavier than the note 3. I don't see why the note 3 won't be able to withstand the product.

There's picutres in your post with the iPad in portrait mode i think the stand will work just fine the note is a light phone compared to it's size.
It's certainly cheaper than the FlyGrips I usually use. I love that the FlyGrip also doubles as a way to securely hold the device, though and have been saved from dropping my Note due to it many times. It looks about as thin as the FlyGrip - if you get one let us know how durable it is, because even on the integrated kickstands I've used, the thin ones usually end up breaking after awhile.
I just placed an order and the seller (Remote Systems) shipped the item on the same day, according to the USPS tracking number they provided.
EDIT: I finally got it. It's much thicker than I thought. So much so that the works charging no longer work and my iOttie car holder won't automatically clamp the phone.
So now it is a choice of whether you need a kick stand or a wireless charger.

Thanks for taking the plunge!
I would be the first to buy something like this but suddenly I've got too many accessories for the phone, and the price+shipping is too high for the product.
So I'm just waiting on some reviews on this.
My plan:
Phone + Glass screen protector (applied) + Kickstand + Plastic bumper.
Why:
I want the phone small as possible. Its more comfy in pocket, on hand, less drops, etc etc.
Plus I love the feeling of that leather*
Its just the ****ty stitching and the crappy lined plastic sides that degrade the phone's sense of luxury.
Quick questions:
How thick is it really?
Is the kickstand as thick as those cases with a kickstand?
Can the kickstand work on the far sides of the back, or does it have to be centered?
And lastly would it be a good idea to put the kickstand over the camera to protect it from scratching?
(obviously a cutout hole on the kickstand for the cam to peep through)
...
...
Cheers!

Hi Kangal,
I the kickstand4u add about 0.4 cm to the thickness of the phone, IF you are using the regular back cover. I don't have another camera, so I don't have a picture to show it. If you use a wireless cover, it will add even more, so much so that my iOttie car dock no longer fit.
Additionally, the wireless charging no longer work since I believe the distance is now too far between the back cover and the charging coil. This is at least with my Tylt wireless charger.
I put mine slightly below the center, so closer to the bottom of the phone. This is because the S-Pen is actually sticking out a little bit, causing uneven plane when the phone is at an angle.
All in all, I prefer the kickstand since it allows me to put the phone an angle WITHOUT a). a bulky case and b). a docking station. I can live without the wireless charging, so now I just use the normal back cover. Oh, with the normal back cover and the kickstand4u, the phone still fit with my iOttie car holder.
Hope this helps!

I'm giving up on my dream of a device with a bumper and a kickstand.
Its simply because the kickstand on its own won't ever be as sturdy as one on a case can be.
Also because the bumpers that I own (five different types) they're either not a good fit, not protective enough (non-shock-absorbing, or exposed corner wtf), or are very thick.
Basically for me, the simple solution is better.
Use a case that's not too bulky and has a kickstand that's decent enough.
I've found these two but have NOT bought OR TRIED them. Anyone tried these cases? What are your thoughts? Any good? Overpriced?

Aftermarket Battery Door?

Tried searching here but to no avail. Anyone know where I can get custom battery covers for the Note 3? Cost is not too much of an issue but I've been looking for a custom battery cover for my Note 3 as I'm getting really bored of the default faux leather back. If anyone has any ideas where to look please let me know?
Google hasn't really helped much either.
I too would like to know, as some days I want to see my phone w/out my bulky otterbox case on it....BUT....I'm too smart to know that I'll soon drop it due to the slipperiness of this phone!!!!
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xnote+3+battery+cove&_nkw=note+3+battery+cover&_sacat=0
Unfortunately there aren't many good custom back covers out there... most have either worse (more slippery) grip, or metal ones that degrade signal reception.
I definitely don't want it in metal, but for the slippery grip, it's not an issue. I'll be using a transparent cover over it anyway!
I saw some on amazon, but they are in pastel colors. just type in Anley note 3
I'd be happy with just a battery cover that eliminated the raised part around the camera. Not sure why they thought the phone resting on that all the time was going to be a good idea. I'm so afraid of scratching it up. I tried a case for a while, which worked great. But the bulk got to me after a while and I removed the case.
Dunno about you but the case I used added more space between the camera and the table top. but was still pretty slim....

I use the wireless charging back cover from Samsung and it is raised over the camera. It adds a bit of weight but I feel like that's how the phone should be and it has a nice leather feel
Cover
The charging cover looks really interesting. Wonder what the battery life is on a wireless charge.
I decided to try one of these from amazon. It's called Bubbleback, lot of different colors. Fits very good, the texture is leather look only, not actual faux leather like original back. It's plastic so it's a bit slippery. I have a clear case so no biggy.
Might consider buying one of those for the next world cup... XD
Samsung actually sells about 20 different coloured backdoors for the Note 3, ranging from metallic look to smooth plastic to matte pastel. Most official Samsung stores (not sales points, the actual Samsung stores. There's one in The Hague, for example) sell them.

Accessories [REVIEW] MOUS - Limitless 5.0 (MagSafe compatible case)

Hello everyone,
As I'm usually testing a few cases during my time with a smartphone (from cheap AliExpress ones to more expensive stuff like LiveEdge cases from Carved).
The Galaxy S23 Ultra being in my hands for a week, I've been able to try out the official leather case from Samsung (currently my daily option) and the Spigen Ultra Hybrid ZeroOne.
On one hand, I had the premium feeling of the leather, and on the other the "perfect form factor" (the small hollow around the S-Pen slot is clearly one of the best proof that Spigen is paying attention to user experience), but the plastic feel is driving me insane after a few hours.
During my time with the S22 Ultra, I was mainly running the grippy Cryo Armor from Spigen or a LiveEdge case from Carved. Although the Carved one was clearly a feast for the eyes and quite practical with its MagSafe compatibility, I was regularly coming back to the Cryo Armor, that felt better in hand.
As that struggle to define which one deserved to become the titular spanned through months, I began to look for an option slightly in between and that's when I finally came across MOUS. And at the time, I avoided to order from them (Carved being quite expensive and willing to spare my bank account from an other expensive case). But the time has come and I finally decided to try it out by ordering a Limitless 5.0 case today.
What decided me?
Similar to Spigen's design (S-Pen's hollow)
Wooden option (bamboo for mine, it'll remind me my good old OnePlus 3 bamboo case)
MagSafe compatibility (as an increasing number of accessories are coming to it, can't hurt)
Build looks qualitative
Life-long warranty
Price: 60€ (still pricey, but not more than the official Samsung leather case)
I placed the order today, and will surely receive it next week. This post will be updated with a few pictures and initial thoughts once it'll be in my hands and protecting the S23 Ultra.
Oh, and to illustrate what I mean by the "S-Pen hollow", here's a picture:

Review - Limitless 5.0 by MOUS
Received the case this morning, and finally had some time to give it a try.
First of all, simple yet nice packaging from the brand.
Once opened, we can take a glance at the MagSafe adapter embedded in the case. The inside of it is covered with soft felt-like coating. The inner edges are pretty sharp compared to other brands (Spigen and Rhinoshield have more rounded ones, for instance). Although the main frame is made out of TPU, you can see multiple green rubber inserts on the side: they're what they call AiroShock, which is MOUS' main solution when it comes to absorbing shocks.
As explained in this topic's first post, the S-Pen slot is more accessible for the thumb (or whatever finger you usually use to get it) thanks to a hollowed design surrounding it. Clearly something you'll appreciate if you are using it often.
The external sides of the Limitless 5.0 sport a wave-like pattern to add some grip to it once in your hands. One thing I quickly noticed is how closer it was from the edge of the official Samsung screen protector. Small detail, but still has some importance, as Samsung's official leather case is leaving a bigger gap between its edge and the screen protector, leading to a hooked feeling when using some navigation gestures.
The bottom and upper lips are a little higher than the sides ones, which should protect the display if it was falling face down to the ground. Overall, I'd say that the case fits well when the S23 Ultra is in. Not adding too much bulk, and looking quite robust.
Once the phone is showing its back, it shows the embedded bamboo panel and cameras' module protection. At the opposite of the Samsung's leather case, the module a small raise around it, and the design is quite open, which looks better if you like seeing your S23 Ultra's colour or want to try a colour combination suiting your tastes or matching your case.
On the MagSafe's side, it works as intended, but I noticed my ArcHybrid Portable Wireless Charger was heating a little more than intended. It also happened when I was using Carved's EdgeLive caseon my former S22 Ultra, so I have two theories about it:
The case is too thick, forcing the charger to input more power to reach an efficient electro-magnetic field
As I could read here and there, the MagSafe adapter shouldn't go for a full circle design (opened designs were advertised as better regarding this)
Well, it seems wireless charging with the MagSafe compatible accessories will have to be improved.
One last thing that also disappointed me a little is on the side buttons-field: fully plastic... It's not dramatic, but I think leaving the choice to customers to get an add-on with an anodised aluminium option or something made out of the same material as the back plate would have been nice. Otherwise, they click good, so their main goal is achieved.
And final point: if you are a little clumsy, MOUS' case has holes to attach a strap. So would you be a righty or a lefty, you can secure your phone to your wrist.
Final thoughts
With only a limited time in hand, I feel that this case will be pretty satisfying to use everyday. Sure, there are points to improve for a future Limitless 6.0 , but I can see design choices that I'm clearly looking for and a solid build quality. It's still a 60€/65$/55£ case, but my personal expectations are met. I'll publish an update if I encounter any issues with it in the future.
Edit: after 5 minutes of wireless charging, the Spigen ArcHybrid Portable Wireless Charger is triggering its protection and stopping the charge (too hot to even hold it longer than a few seconds).
On the other hand, my other wireless chargers are working without issues, so I'm more inclined to think that it's solely coming from the Spigen's device.
Review published.
Added an edit about the wireless charging.

I agree, that's expensive for a case, but I've seen worse (in term of pricing and build quality).
i've baught this one, and it seems perfect

Far too bulky for me (due to the card tray), but as long as you're satisfied, that's indeed perfect.
I have the Walnut version of this case and its great! I paid £49 from Amazon. Prices on Amazon cheaper than the website.

Nice to know! How's the walnut panel's quality? I was hesitating between the two, but chose the bamboo by nostalgia.

It really is gorgeous... So I own a Pixel 7 Pro and had the S22 Ultra.
I very rarely go for 3rd party cases. The only one I would normally consider is Bellroy - Their quality for me is mental.
But I thought about NOT upgrading from the S22U as the S23U didn't warrant it, Until I heard about Snapdragon etc which means for me till be a battery life champion. (Why does this matter?)
Well - I always loved the Moto X style stuff that Motorola did many moons ago. So I did some research and came across Mous. Had some spare dollar (GBP) sitting around and took the plunge... I was in love. I ditched my old S22U protective stand case (Official) and went full on Mous. It was soo good, I ditched my official case from Google and went with the Walnut one for the P7P too.
Then I upgraded, got my S23U on Friday the 10th Feb and decided to go with the same case for that.
I kid you not, the feel of the wood is so nice and the bumper case around it is very good quality. (I was going to go for your colour for the Pixel - But they didnt have it)

I've heard about Bellroy, but never gave a try (yet?). Do you have one specific pick from them that you'd recommend?
I also had the S22U stand case, and used it... Two days? Was quite a disappointment (I'm really struggling with full-TPU cases, which is also why the Spigen case with UV printed internals also didn't make it as a daily choice).
For the Pixel 7 Pro, I was thinking about the one below, which is quite stunning on pictures and surely interesting in the sun.
Are you from Mous ? Looks like a paid placement?

I personally either would go Fabric or Wood. Thats it...
I miss the old fabric cases they made for Pixel
Bellroy only make Leather cases, they put Sammies official ones to shame.

I have had S22 Ultra, Pixel 6 Pro, and other Bellroy cases. They simply are just amazing.

I am not a paid shill for Mous. I genuinely agree with the review that the OP has put here, the product is very good IMHO.
Others may disagree and have had negative experiences which is completely understandable. Both sides of the coin!

No, just sharing my experience with a brand I don't see the name often around here, and it's always a good thing to share these experiences, as it might help some people figuring out what they want to buy and keep instead of buying multiples cases they won't be happy with before finding the chosen one.
It's not guaranteed that I won't find a better brand to stick to in the future, but for now, MOUS is making my day.

Ahah, same here. Though I prefer wood and leather over fabric (have you already checked Carved and OxyWood for wood + resin?).
Yes, I noticed the design was extremely similar to the official Samsung ones, so I don't think I'll give it a try until I change my S23U, as I already have a leather one. But I'll remember it for a future occasion, thanks.
My biggest problem with this brand was the magnet strength. I have it for the Pixel 7 Pro and my magsafe stuff barely stick. I slapped on one of those magsafe metal rings and it's a TON better, but kinda defeats the purpose of the case. I think I'll just go naked with a dbrand skin and the metal ring this go around

Yeah, I noticed it was slightly weaker than one of my other case equipped with a third-party metal ring, I put it on the embedding depth, but I cannot be sure. My Spigen MagSafe wireless charger was sticking quite well, though.
How about the effect of the magnet on the S-pen? Any comments on that?

I've seen no effect/differences so far. And I how no issues with the Carved case and my S22U either. They advertise it as a magnet, but I'm quite sure it's only a magnetic compatible material (or alloy).
